Cool Video: “Barack the Magic Negro” parody is LOL hilarious!!!

After seeing the media raging on about the “Barack the Magic Negro” parody which is spoofing the famous children’s song “Puff the Magic Dragon”, I had to go through youtube to listen to myself. I can’t stop laughing. It is absolutely hilarious if you don’t take it seriously.

The lyrics in the song is actually pretty truthful and I agree with some of it.

Lyrics and video to the song below. Whether you hate the song or not, I’m willing to bet everyone that listened to it laughed their ass off. The singing is very well done though. I like the musical arrangement too. I wonder what Weird Al would think of this?

Enjoy or not.

“Barack the Magic Negro” lyrics

Barack the Magic Negro lives in D.C.

The L.A. Times, they called him that

‘Cause he’s not authentic like me.

Yeah, the guy from the L.A. paper

Said he makes guilty whites feel good

They’ll vote for him, and not for me

‘Cause he’s not from the hood.

See, real black men, like Snoop Dog,

Or me, or Farrakhan

Have talked the talk, and walked the walk.

Not come in late and won!

[refrain] Oh, Barack the Magic Negro, lives in D.C.

The L.A. Times, they called him that

‘Cause he’s black, but not authentically.

Oh, Barack the Magic Negro, lives in D.C.

The L.A. Times, they called him that

‘Cause he’s black, but not authentically.

Some say Barack’s “articulate”

And bright and new and “clean.”

The media sure loves this guy,

A white interloper’s dream!

But, when you vote for president,

Watch out, and don’t be fooled!

Don’t vote the Magic Negro in –

‘Cause — ’cause I won’t have nothing after all these years of sacrifice

And I won’t get justice. This is about justice. This isn’t about me, it’s about justice.

It’s about buffet. I don’t have no buffet and there won’t be any church contributions,

And there’ll be no cash in the collection plate.

There ain’t gonna be no cash money, no walkin’ around money, no phoning money.

Now, Barack going to come in here and –

  1. Brock, you are sooo correct! The liberal YKW’s (you know whos) might say this is racist. I know Brock isn’t racist. He LOVES black people. Some of his best friends are colored, or at least octoroon.

  3. I don’t think this is funny, I’m not foaming at the mouth either. I’m mostly ambivalent but for my one contention, that Obama’s race is the basis of the parody. If you cannot see what is wrong with that, then I cannot help you. Of course you won’t understand this, afterall the first thing people notice and pass judgment on about you is probably not your race. It is not the basis for whether you get a job or not, are befriended or not, are attended to in a store or not, are spoken to or not. Most people are under the false belief that all races on average are treated equally but that’s because we stopped talking about it to anyone else but ourselves. And we stopped talking because most of the people who are our friends/family/collegues (of Eurpopean descent) stopped listening and assumed we are over-reacting. I don’t try to explain it anymore because I know they won’t get it. Even now I am having second thoughts about sending this to you, a total stranger, afterall what is the point?
And by the way it is possible to ‘like black people’ and be racist (I prefer the word prejudice) though I cannot pass that judgment on you since I do not know you.
