Another reason to call the Springsteen performance at the Superbowl an embarrassment. This article confirms that Springsteen sang live for real, but the E Street band were fake playing their instruments.

Not the BOSS! Actually it says that they all do. Prince, Tom Petty, U2,Paul McCartney, Josh Groban, The Kids of Widney High all had prerecorded music. Apparently the reason is to wheel the stage out in 5 minutes and get the “fans” out there isn’t nearly enough time for a soundcheck. The fans look like they could get excited about balloons for 10 hours straight. Oh, the luxury…. Anyways, this comes as a bit of a surprise. I remember U2’s performance years ago and Adam Claytons thundering bass was enough to shatter my one frozen testicle.

Most everything in the music industry of today is fake these days…I wish we could go back in time 50 years ago around the Buddy Holly, Big Bopper and Richie Valens days when there were no such thing as lip synching or fake playing instruments…sigh…
