So, if you’re a waiter working at a restaurant like in a huge city somewhere in the U.S., how would you feel if the rich and famous, gives you a huge tip?

While it must be pretty cool to get a paycheck that big by a huge movie star, I would honestly feel pretty weird. If that happened to me if I worked at a restaurant, I probably woudn’t keep it. I would either politely reject it or have the restaurant manager take a look at it. That’s too much.
Depp seems nice and cool, but seriously, that’s just an ego thing of what he is really saying to that waiter guy, “Hey look at me, I’m rich and famous, and you’re not, buddy. Here’s $4,000 to prove it, you little minimum wager.”

He’s not ego’d out, maybe he’s just really really cool. The article says they kept the restaurant open late for Depp’s dinner party. Johnny realized this guy would like to be home with his family. He showed his appreciation by giving an amazing tip. The waiter said he was really cool and polite the whole time. Cheers to Johnny.
