Some people think doing a few chest workouts one day a week will get you bigger chest gains. It could, but you could also be over training your chest muscles as well. I see guys in the gym doing all kinds of chest workouts. They would do a lot of heavy lifting too.
I’ve been experimenting different ways of trying to get bigger chest gains. For the past month or so, I’ve been lifting everything really light, doing a few chest workouts one day a week.
For the next month or so, I’m going to start lifting a little heavier with only doing 1 chest workout a week. Yes, just one workout. Today, I just did benching with the Smith machine (it’s okay you don’t need a spotter with a Smith machine ’cause that’s what the thing was made for), that was it.
More isn’t more, less is more. That’s what I’ve been trying to concentrate on. While the rest of my body looks pretty muscular and decent, I still need work on the chest though. Maybe I have bad genetics, I don’t know. Maybe that’s why I can’t get bigger chest gains but I’ll keep trying.
Just like I can’t tell with my own talent in music. I can’t tell how I look in fitness either. That’s why I need to do those progress pics.
I do want to have a great body and taking my slow time to get there. I’ll post new progress pics sometime this Spring. I want to see if I can get bigger gains first and then I’ll post them for feedback.
Yes, I’m still into bodybuilding. My second passion behind music, so I’ll never give that up either. I just want to look better, tougher, and hopefully, sexier. I want to look good playing guitar, so I try to get in shape before getting a band going.

EDIT TO ADD: I know it takes years of hard work to get bigger chest gains, it’s a slow process.
