No Led Zeppelin tour, but a tour of the “02” show being screened in theaters around the world, is close enough to a world tour, so you can pretend you’re really watching Led Zeppelin on stage in movie theaters.
Doesn’t look like, Albany will be getting a “Celebration Day” screening though.
I’m sure we’ll be getting a statement from the band later today.

Why would Led Zeppelin name this movie, “Celebration Day” instead of “Live at the 02”? Well they did the same with the Madison Square Garden show, named that movie after one of their songs, “The Song Remains the Same”. I guess, “Celebration Day” is a follow up to “The Song Remains the Same” film. A sequel. Enjoy.

I’m guessing they named it Celebration Day because the concert was a celebration of the life of Ahmet Ertugun, founder of Atlantic Records.

Not only they named it Celebration Day ’cause of Ahmet Ertegun (however the hell you spell his last name), they also named it that title as a way to celebrate Led Zep’s music over the years. Celebrating the music of Led Zep with the fans. That’s another reason too. Appropriate title I would say.

I doubt that. That day of music we just a day celebrating the life of Ertugun.
I think if Zep wanted to do something to celebrate their career r do something for their fans, then they would have made it available for free as a digital download.
Instead they are going for the maximum cash grab they can get from it. Theater release, cd, DVD…that’s a lot lot of revenue being generated.money money money….that’s what it’s really all about.
Well, the 02 event was a charitable event for Ertegun, maybe this is just part of their charity. Still raising money for their friend.
