I was right on one thing, that all this hype over a movie, was going to upset some people, Led Zep is already getting a lot of negative shit from the fans, read some of the comments, here.
I was also right that the announcement was going to be bigger than a DVD release, and having the 02 show being screened in theaters is bigger. So I got a few little things right, here and there.
I mean think about it, right? If a band was to do a huge countdown and tease big things, you think they go out on tour or put out an album. All the hype and buzz over something little. This is why some fans are upset. I understand them though.
As a fan, I’ll take the announcement for what it is. I’m glad the 02 is coming out.

Thisnwasmnot a big teaser. Nor was it meant to construe something big. If it was big, they would have teased or given clues on entertainment, music and news websites.
But they didn’t. It was just a Facebook post. honestly, is old have never known about it had I not read your blog, and a lot of people I know, including some die hard LZ fans didn’t known anything either, simply because we are facebookers.
Get over yourself already. You. Were. Wrong. Remember your comment about how you were “going to laugh so hard at” all the album and tour doubters?
I hate to say ( not really) I told you so, but I told you so.
I still stand corrected on everything I said. Oh, and for the record, I didn’t exactly predict they were going to reveal an album or a tour, the whole point I was trying to make after all this time, the announcement could have been anything. Whether it will be the 02 release, a new album, tour, another one off show, etc. You should re-read everything I said again. It probably wouldn’t have been an album or a tour, but anything would do.
Everybody did a good job guessing on what the announcement is. Whether they were wrong, no harm in anything. That’s the whole point of the teaser, I repeat.
It’s the same thing when a Hollywood film releases a teaser trailer, revealing little bits and pieces, to get everyone talking, create a buzz about the film. Led Zeppelin just did the same thing. Marketing geniuses.

I’ve said it plenty of times, they were just guessing on what the announcement and teaser could be. They were doing it for all in good fun. They weren’t blowing anything out of proportion at all. They were just being excited about the Led Zep announcement. That’s all.

What I said was “possible” and “could be”, again, didn’t say it was definite.

Then when they posted the “Good Times Bad Times” clip, then the “Celebration Day” song, that’s when I started to actually believe that it was the 02 show. I won’t believe anything that’s not posted by Led Zeppelin until the band says so themselves.
It’s funny how you guys are accusing me that I thought the announcement was “definitely” going to be a new album release, when I’ve never said that. Big difference between could be and definitely.
I did say “Some lame DVD release”, but I was giving an example that a big teaser is supposed to tease something bigger than a DVD release, and it ended up being that. “Celebration Day” being shown in theaters, it is bigger than a DVD release if you think about it. Don’t put words in my mouth, please.

Oh yeah, another thing, if Led Zeppelin really did decide to put that unreleased studio album out or if they go on a full fledged world tour, I’m pretty sure they’re going to tease those in facebook too like they’ve teased everything they did in the past before they discovered facebook. Facebook is the way to go to announce big news these days. Bands announce big news in facebook, all the time. That’s the way social media is today and it’s the way bands market themselves. It’s you that needs to get over yourself, bro.
