You think you’re scared watching ghost movies like the “Paranormal Activity” franchise? Well, why don’t you try watching the original “Amityville Horror”, film starring James Brolin and Margot Kidder. This is a perfect film to watch with all the lights off, and you’ll probably have nightmares watching it. This film is a pretty scary film. It’s about a newlywed couple who moves into this old home where a murder was committed, and strange things start happening at the home. This is a great flick.

Even though this film came out in the year I was born, I have seen parts of it. I watched parts of it when I was way too young to see it, before parents were able to really feel guilt about what their little kids were watching when they were having a glass of wine in the next room 😉 And it’s a “true story”, at least somewhat. A good friend of mine is from Amityville and told me some scary stories! Thanks for posting this reminder of the good, ole, pee-your-pants classics of my generation.

Classic movie, I know a medium who visited this house in the late 70’s. Said it was a terrifying place.
