Cool Photo: Zeppelin blimp flies over the White House today…

Led Zeppelin posted this photo today, of the Celebration Day blimp flying over the White House. I believe it was the same blimp that was flying over the Dallas Cowboys, stadium. The Zeppelin blimp flying over the White House, is not photoshopped.

I almost forgot that Led Zeppelin is being honored at the Kennedy Center tomorrow, that’s why the Zeppelin blimp flew over the White House today. I hear that the band, Led Zeppelin will meet with President Obama himself, I believe?

Anyway, as much as I don’t like President Obama, I’ll give him respect for this one time. Even if Led Zeppelin is from the U.K., the band created American history, so this honor is very deserving for Led Zeppelin. I wonder if Led Zeppelin, will perform a few songs tomorrow in D.C.? Wouldn’t surprise me if they will.

    1. It maybe a no fly zone, but I believe that’s for airplanes. If it’s real, the band must of gotten the okay with the White House to fly it. Could be real, could be fake. Maybe the band will post a video to prove it’s real soon, just like they did with the Dallas blimp?

      1. That’s not a Led Zeppelin Blimp. They hired for it an ad campaign in Dallas. That’s all. I can appreciate your enthusiasm for all things LZ, but in all likelihood, the DTV blimp was in the DC are covering a sporting event, and they probably launched out of one of the local airports and someone got a photo of it.. Look at the pic. It’s obviously off in the distance. Just a coincidence. A fan probably sent the photo to LZ and they posted it in facebook.

  1. it doesn’t say anything about airplanes specifically either. It says and it is aimed at “air traffic”.

And that is not the “celebration day” blimp, it’s the Direct TV blimp.

    1. Another Led Zeppelin note, they will be on Letterman this coming Monday, which I will watch. They’re probably going to talk with Letterman, not play, I would assume? If they do end up playing together on Letterman, that would not be surprising either.
