Everybody knows about the Greg Allman biopic that was supposedly to be in the works titled, “Midnight Rider” but Sarah Jones who was one of the film crew (pictured above) was killed by getting hit by a train while filming. She was just young, 27. William Hurt who was supposed to play Greg in the film pulled out ’cause he did it out of respect for Sarah. Now Greg Allman himself wrote a small letter to the director of the movie urging him NOT to go forward with the movie. Greg didn’t explain why he wanted him to stop making the movie but he’s probably doing it out of respect for Sarah.
Maybe it’s a good idea for the film to not go forward??? Out of respect for Sarah’s family and friends. Shame what happened and it’s tragic for sure. RIP to Sarah.

It is always sad when someone dies too young but I don’t understand why it means they stop making the movie.
You have a point, dude. I would think Sarah would have wanted the movie to go on. They should finish it for her.

I’ll have to say though that Greg Allman have had a pretty tough year. 1) He’s been having health problems that he had to pull out a few shows 2) Derek and Warren leaving the Allman Bros. 3) Greg going through another tragedy with Sarah getting killed.
Sarah had nothing to do with the Allman Brothers but I’m pretty sure she was a fan of the band since she was a part of that film.
Kev
Maybe Greg wants them to stop filming has nothing to do with Sarah. Maybe Greg changed his mind about it and wouldn’t want his life-story told on the big screen?

Stupid to shoot a movie scene on train tracks. Trying to relive death?
