Music is my life. It’s my blood. Whether I listen to other people’s music or play my own music as a musician, music is pretty much all I want to do in life, ya know? It is pretty much all I care about these days. I don’t regret it and don’t feel guilty for it at all. It’s what I do. It’s what I’m here for. I don’t know what I’ll be like if music wasn’t here. I’ve been a music lover ever since I was a young child. A lifelong music fan.
I picked up the guitar at a late age, though. I picked the guitar when I was 18 years old. I’m 39 now so that means I’ve been playing guitar for a little over 20 years now and it’s hard to believe it’s been that long. When I first picked up the guitar at 18, I’ve been wanting to become a guitar player long before that. It’s just that it was hard to get guitar lessons back then. Then I saw a guy at a bookstore who was selling guitar books so I bought a few of them even though I didn’t have a guitar yet. The bookstore owner ended up saying that he played guitar too so I started going to the bookstore like once a week so he can teach me to play. When I first started playing guitar, I used to be shit. Didn’t know what I was doing back then. It really does take years to get good at guitar.
I’m still not all that great but I am proud of how far I’ve become. I feel I’ve improved as a guitarist a little bit but still got a lot more work to do, though. I have a lot of passion for music. I love supporting bands & artists. I love reading about music. I love watching documentaries about bands & artists. I love supporting local music too. Lifelong music fan.
A lot of people has criticized my obsession with music over the years, a lot of people would be like, “All you think about is music” but I don’t care. Music has helped me become the strong and confident person that I am. Music is what keeps me living and it’s what makes me happy. I gotta be around music always.
