How to get ripped at very low cost!

I posted this in a facebook note, so I thought I would pass it along and post it here too.

How to get ripped at very low cost!!!

A lot of people make the mistake that it’s very expensive to get ripped. It doesn’t have to be. There are always way to get the body of your dreams and become successful at it, at a very low cost. How can it be done? Well let me give you a step by step instruction on how it can be done. It’s very easy. You don’t even need a gym membership and still be able to do these things. You can do these things any time of the day if you have a busy schedule. Workout early in the morning or late at night if you’re busy during the day if you have to.

Here is how to get ripped very cheap! Getting ripped cheap, means doing it for $100 or lower, you don’t want to go any higher than $100.

  • Get a cheap set of dumb bells – Dumb bells aren’t very expensive.  You can get affordable dumb bells just about anywhere. At craigslist, yard sales, and very fitness shops around your area. You can get a cheap set of dumb bells for around $50 – $100. There are dumb bell workouts for every single part of the body,  upper and lower. Just do research on the workouts for dumb bells.
  • Cardio – If you need to do your cardio, you don’t really need to go the gym to do those cardio machines. During nice weather season, go for a jog or run or ride the bicycle outside, this can be for free. During rainy or snowy weather and can’t do cardio anywhere, buy yourself a jump rope, which can only cost you, a $20 – $30.
  • Chest workouts – If you need to do your chest workouts,  you don’t need to get an expensive bench press set to do that with, you don’t need to do that at the gym either. Just learn various chest workouts with dumb bells that you can simply do on the floor at home. You can also buy a set of cheap push up grips which can cost you about $20 – $30, very cheap.
  • Resistance bands – I personally don’t do any resistance band stuff yet, but you don’t need to go to the gym or get those expensive workout DVD’s that comes with free resistance bands. You can get a cheap set of resistance bands anywhere for around $20 – $30.
  • Back workouts – Need to do your back workouts for lats, middle and lower? Again, dumb bells will do the trick. You can also buy a cheap chin up bar or an Iron Gym for around $20 – $30.
  • Ab workouts – Don’t get tricked by advertisements you see on TV with those silly Ab spinner machines and all that other silly ab stuff that could be very expensive. You can get ripped abs and get that sexy washboard for free. All you need is a floor and your body. Just learn a couple of ab crunches and that’s all you really need!
  • Supplements/Protein shakes – The supplement industry can be very expensive and not cheap. You don’t really need to buy Whey protein ’cause it’s going to cost you a lot of money, when you run out, it’ll force you to buy more and more each time. You also don’t need expensive supplements. If you need your protein drink, there are always ways to make it homemade without using supplements and it’ll cost you very cheap with recipes from the grocery store. On top of that, supplements can be dangerous to your health. I don’t drink protein drinks anymore for my own reasons, and soon I’m going to do some research on recipes to make my own protein drink without supplemental products. It might take a lot of egg whites and other things, though.
  • Healthy food – Yes, healthy food at the grocery store can be pretty expensive. If you can’t afford it, there are always way to eat healthy and cheap. Do some gardening and grow it yourself. If you hunt or fish, that’s another good way to do it too. Also, just watch the prices at the grocery store. You don’t need to buy organic food all the time.

So there’s some ideas. If you can’t afford the gym membership anymore and want to keep going in fitness, follow the above steps and you’re on your way. You don’t need Tony Horton’s DVD sets, his sets are popular because a lot of people don’t have time to go to the gym or can’t afford it. Plus the TeamBeachBody stuff are a waste of money and fake. I wouldn’t go through it and neither should you.

Thought: More on why I avoid working out through fitness DVD’s…

Why do I avoid doing workouts through fitness DVD’s? Because the answer is really quite simple. It’s all pretty silly and lame. I don’t see how people can stand in front of a TV and follow the workouts by someone teaching you things. Plus, I don’t really care for these professional hollywood like fitness DVD’s with really good picture, boring music, and the coaches training the “actors” working out. I’m sorry but anybody that buys these things ’cause they’ve seen the advertisements on TV and on the internet, if they actually believe these workout programs work is a stupid idiot, in my opinion. I don’t put my money toward this stuff for a very good reason.

I mean, why would you want to go through your fitness life, living on these discs in your home? Wouldn’t it be more special to learn fitness your own way and be self taught? That’s where I come from. I want to do things my own way and my own style. I don’t need Tony Horton or Jillian Michaels telling me how to do things. I don’t need to work with famous fitness trainers who are not actually in front of you in person, yet, they are teaching you on the TV instead. See how silly that sounds? I would rather have real coaches. Fitness people with a lot of experience who are local tell me what to do. If I want to learn something new, I go to the gym owner in Greenwich, he’ll train me new workouts when asked.

Why do people go through nationally fitness lessons with Tony Horton, Jillian Michaels or Gunnar Peterson? It’s because people want to get that perfect hollywood body that they will never have. People think they will get that look if they get “10 Minute Trainer” or Pp90x”. A fantasy world, type of thing. Why support national fitness celebrity trainers, when you should be supporting local trainers? There are plenty of personal trainers around upstate NY that will be willing to help you lose weight and build muscle.

Also, there is a difference between being a BeachBody coach and personal trainer, both are totally different. In my opinion, don’t take this the wrong way, I don’t think the BeachBody Coach thing is real. You don’t actually become a real coach, it’s just an online fantasy thing, that’s the way I look at it. If I wanted to help people get fit and muscular, I would rather become a certified personal trainer instead.

Like I said in a post before, I learned fitness & bodybuilding through books, the internet (there’s a lot of free fitness websites on here), and I learned by watching other people in the gym. Sometimes people even teach me things. This is why I never go through those DVD sets that you see off advertisements. I can’t believe that people actually go through this shit. You don’t need to. I’m obviously no fan of TeamBeachBody. I even like to give people fitness tips & advice, but I just do it for fun, I don’t really plan to do it for money.

I’ll continue this topic tomorrow…

Thought: Team Beach Body and P90x is not cheap…

Ok,  here we go, after doing a little research on the pricing of BeachBody and P90x. Here is the info:

Both Tony Horton’s 10 Minute Trainer and the P90x, cost $39.95. Subtotal is $79.90, yes, there is shipping&handling too, folks, that costs, $29.90. So that rings up a total of $109.80.

And I’ve also looked up that getting started into this TeamBeachBody coaching thing, costs another $39.99. Once you finish those programs, you’re going to want to get into more that Beach Body owns: Tony  Horton’s “One On One”, “Insanity”, “Body Gospel”, etc. which will all cost more. That’s what they want, that’s all they want to do is take more money off of ya.

Yes, there is “Money Back Gauruntee”, but doing research on that, they keep the Shipping and Handling when they send the refund, which is $29.90. Does that spell another ripoff? There is a big YES, right there. Their Shipping&Handling is way high.

My gym membership is $39 a month and it’s way cheaper than all this.

To get a jacked body: It requires dedication, learning and keeping up the hard work. You don’t need to go through all this. Do exercises in good form, with proper resting and proper eating, you’ll be able to reach your goals. What is proper eating? That means eating healthy most of the time. High protein, low carb diets throughout the day with 5-6 small meals a day. You have to get used to eating the same things all the time and have to get used to eating healthy food that taste like cardboard. I’m also willing to bet that BeachBody doesn’t give you a real meal plan, they want healthy food to taste good when healthy food isn’t supposed to taste good. You have to deal with eating eggs every morning, eat chicken breasts, fish, fruits, vegetables, etc. Getting six pack abs and lowering bodyfat is made in the kitchen, not in the gym. You have to eat to lose the fat. Doing lots of cardio and too much ab workouts is the same as overtraining.

This guy, has a lot to learn.

Blogger defends TeamBeachBody and fails miserably at it…

This blogger, tries to defend the TeamBeachBody company and fails miserably at it, in my opinion. A little later today, I’m going write a more detailed post, on how TeamBeachBody is a waste of money. It’s all a scam and they are doing nothing but ripping people off. If you look online, there are other customers that don’t go through TeamBeachBody anymore, and complained about bad experiences with them. This guy does a terrible job at defending BeachBody ’cause all he seems to be doing is trying to get me to get into it like he already did in facebook a few times before. Talking me into get into P90x or other BeachBody instructional material and trying to get me to like it, like a salesman. These are the kind of stuff I would not be involved in. Promoting these instructional lessons which I refuse to get into.

Like I said, I have successfully got a ripped body on my own, without having to pay much. This guy’s got it all wrong about the pricing for BeachBody instructional material, it actually cost way more than a cheap gym membership. I can prove it too.

Look at this, does it look like I got this look through TeamBeachBody instructional stuff? New progress pic, just took it today.

NO! I didn’t get that look above through any fitness company at all. I got it done all by myself. No personal trainers, no instructors. No friggin packets you get in the mail. That picture above was all ME! I DID IT!

My pecs are getting a little better by training them only a strict one day a week, doing just a few exercises for the chest. BeachBody or Boflex didn’t give me that look.

I didn’t do it through 10 minute – One on one bullshit. Train 1 body part a week is all you need for 3 sets, 10-12 reps each. I don’t workout too much ’cause you don’t want to do too much. TeamBeachBody just overtrains you.

More on this later.

Anybody that learns from Tony Horton or from BeachBody is just wasting their time and money…

I don’t want to slam, this blogger, but it’s my opinion that I think learning fitness from these expensive programs like P90x, Total Body, or 10 minute bullshit, that it’s all fake and won’t give you results that the ads claim. The reason I hate P90x and Beachbody instruction, is that when you buy these things, they give you a packet of stuff, like a set of DVD’s, instructional books and extra small workout equipment, etc. These packets will give you a program and you must follow each one, each day and follow their diets exactly the way it is shown.

I never go for these fitness programs that mail you these boxes of DVDs and you have to go through them all, blah blah blah. Not my thing. Why go through all that crap, when all you need is a good set of cheap dumbbells for home and a gym membership? That’s much cheaper than these ripoff beachbody programs that just want to take your money.

I don’t need to  learn from Tony Horton or from any of those professional trainers that are famous.

Did I go through any of this to get the body of my dreams? Did you see me go through any of this expensive stuff? NO! It only costed me very little to get ripped! Anybody can lose weight and get jacked, and it will only cost you cheap. I don’t think these fake beachbody programs will give you good results. You certainly won’t look like Arnold or Sly by going through this crap. You don’t have to buy anything to get into fitness. All it takes is research, dedication, and hard work to get good with fitness. You want to learn more about fitness, don’t do it through Beachbody.

I learned and taught myself fitness by doing a lot of reading. I read through Arnold’s BodyBuilding book, through the internet and other resources. I just studied, studied, studied. Without buying anything. If you’re thinking about getting into fitness to get ripped or to lose weight, I don’t want you going through this, or this.

Another way to learn about fitness is learn from other bodybuilders who have a lot of experience, they’ll be willing to help you. Just don’t get ripped off by these major fitness companies that all they want is your money. End of story.

Having a ripped body is a good feeling!!!

It is an amazing feeling when people give me feedback on my physique, when I don’t even realize how ripped I am. You know you are successful at bodybuilding when you get so many people giving you positive feedback. That’s the cool thing about fitness. People will give you nothing but respect and positivity everywhere you go. Lately, I’ve gotten more people saying to my face with feedback such as, “Good job”, “You’re looking more defined than ever, “You toned yourself up, great work”, etc. The more people keep saying good stuff about what I do, the more it makes me want to keep at it and never give up. I now understand why bodybuilding became so mainstream and so popular these days. It’s because people become addicted to it. People love the feeling of their bodies changing and being more healthier.

My only complaint about fitness is that I wish healthy food wasn’t so damn expensive. That could be the reason obesity is a problem in the USA ’cause healthy food prices are way high. I don’t care though. I must do what I must do, to get the body of my dreams. My goal is to get as big and muscular as I possibly can, it’ll take several more years for me to get there, but I’ll do it. More progress pics to come!

Fitness will make life better…

It is amazing how Fitness and bodybuilding changes your life. It certainly changed mine for sure. I’ve been doing fitness for over a year now and life has gotten way better. Even if you’re a beginner at fitness and may not look like Arnold or Sly yet, don’t worry about it. Just enjoy life and be happy what you got so far. You’ll be happy and feel proud that you changed your life to get healthier. Everything around you will get better.

Think about these things on how fitness makes your life for the better:

  • Is your life full of negativity and drama, that is stressing you out and making you depressed? Fitness will take your mind off of those things. Exercise and eating right is a good mood changer. If you’re in a bad mood, fitness will put you in a better mood easily.
  • Are you a shy person or anti-social, don’t have many friends or no friends at all? Don’t worry! The healthier you get, the more respect you get by people around you. People will talk to you in a positive way, maybe give you feedback on your progress and conversation will build from there. You will make more friends and become more sociable in the fitness wold, trust me!
  • For the guys in fitness, will you attract more women and get hit on by the ladies everywhere you go? Yes, this could be a possibility too. Many pro bodybuilders have gotten married because of it.
  • For those who had past surgeries and medical problems, fitness will take you away from that and make you a 100% healthy person.
  • Do you used to have a short temper or bad attitudes? Fitness will just make you a happy person, all the time, 24/7. It’ll help make you become a nicer person.

This list can go on. People will be happy and proud of you that you got into fitness. I just wanted to find something else I could be good at other than music. Sure, I could have tried hunting and fishing, and I have tried both, but was never good at that stuff. I could have tried sports, but was never good at that either. I could have been a writer, a painter or a poet but wasn’t good at any of those things. So I finally found something else that I am good at, fitness & bodybuilding. The fitness world is where I belong. Honestly, I have always been interested in fitness and bodybuilding my whole life, I have never taken it seriously until now.

I learn every detail in fitness & bodybuilding as much as I can. I’m always studying and reading. I would never become a certified trainer ’cause it’s not a job, it’s what I do. I’m thinking about making a second website for my fitness only, to keep it away from the entertainment stuff here. I’ll come up with a plan for my own fitness site in the future.

More shirtless posing, standing this time…

Here’s another shirtless progress pic, to get a better view of the abs and chest. Yep, pecs are really starting to shape up a bit, got a bit of a washboard too. I don’t tell myself how good I look that most fitness people seem to do, I just put my progress pics out there and let the public do the judging. Why? Because, I can’t really tell how good I look, this is why I put my pics out there hoping to get feedback by people. I don’t put these pics out there to admire myself. Putting pics out there is important so you can get feedback and people can tell you what you need improvement on.

Kev

A little improvement on the pecs maybe?

So I vowed to try this new plan on the pecs, to see if it will improve. My plan was to do a strict routine and training the chest real hard one day a week.  Not doing any push ups after chest days. Only doing push ups on the days I train chest on. Well, that plan seems to be working a little bit. Noticing a slight improvement, and pecs are getting just a tiny little bit bigger.

Here is my progress pic from just a few months ago.

Here is me now, just took this one today:

I might be getting lower in bodyfat too, ’cause the four pack there is really showing pretty good. Eating good really pays off and really shows a difference!

Report: Zuzana named most influential fitness guru on the web!

Zuzana Light, the owner of BodyRockTV website has been named, “Most Influential Fitness Person” on the web. She’s a personal trainer and a huge youtube sensation.

See the list, here.

I definitely agree she’s most influential. Even though her workout routines are aimed at women, I can’t help myself but watch her videos, all the time. Her workouts are unique and she’s pretty hot. No offense to Zuzana, but it might be pretty obvious, that her boobs might be implants. Either way I don’t care, she’s still hot, plus her diet information can be useful for men as well.
