Picked up 5 more albums from the Itunes store today…

Yeah, I know I buy a lot of music but I can’t help myself, ya know? Music is who I am and what I do. Whether listening to it or playing my own instrument, it’s who I am. I won a little extra cash from Bingo last night and decided to get one of those Itunes gift cards to purchase more music from the store. Yeah, I could listen to albums through Apple Music but Apple Music won’t let you sync albums for Ipod Touch 4’s. You’ll have to purchase the album yourself if you want it for yourself. That’s why if I listen to an album I liked a lot in Apple Music, I’ll buy my own copy. Apple Music is kind of like a rental video store a little bit.

So here are the albums I picked up today:

Slayer “Repentless” and “Diabolus in Musica”: I streamed the new Slayer album on Apple Music this morning and loved it! The new Slayer album that just came out today is surprisingly good even if the band no longer has Jeff Hanneman and Dave Lombardo in the lineup anymore. They still kill it and they still sound like Slayer! I also got another one of their older albums, “Diabolus In Musica”. Yeah, I’m a huge fan of Slayer. So far, I own 6 albums of theirs but I can listen to the rest of their albums on Apple Music.

Kiss “(1974 self titled debut)” and “Dressed To Kill”: I’ve gotten into Kiss now so I picked up two of their classic albums so I can have on my Ipod and listen to them on the go while working out or whatever.

Joni Mitchell “Both Sides Now”: I just started listening to Joni Mitchell albums. Listened to like 4 or 5 of them so far. So far, my favorite is “Both Sides Now” so I had to get my own copy. Beautiful album. Even if Joni’s music is pretty mellow, her music is pretty amazing stuff ’cause I love her singing. Her music is pretty relaxing too. Sometimes you gotta listen to slow and relaxing music ’cause it’s not good to listen to loud rock music all the time.

There you go. Enjoy the list.

Many videobloggers in youtube suck at ranting…

I know youtube is a great place to go on angry rants. It helps gets things off of your system and makes you feel more confident speaking your mind… no holds barred, anything goes. Anyway, most youtubers suck at ranting ’cause many of them try so hard. When they sound “angry” they fake it… in other words, I think they’re being a little too nice as a way to try and not to upset people.

One of the best youtubers who does the best angry ranting I’ve ever seen is the Doctor of Common Sense channel… seriously check him out. This guy goes on some pretty serious rants and he’s the real deal. He doesn’t give a shit who gets offended and he will say what’s on his mind even if he goes too extreme. That’s why he’s one of my favorite youtube channels and he’s an inspiration for my own video blogging.

When I go on rants on my videos, I try my best to sound real serious and to try to make it sound like I really mean what I’m saying. Video blogging is hard to do but I’ll get better at it. I love doing it so I should do it a lot more. Maybe 1 or two videos a week.

Speaking your mind on video is way better than speaking your mind on a typed blog, ya know? Makes it more interesting and entertaining that way. When you rant on video, people can see who you really are. I can see why a lot of youtubers rant on video ’cause it’s a good thing to do. I’m gonna do it more. Talk about politics, movies, music, fitness, etc. All the same topics that I talk about on here. Video blogging is fun and I wanna do it more.

Will I ever become a youtube video viral star? Not sure and I don’t care if I get there or not. It’s hard to make viral videos but who knows, I’ll just keep making ’em and see what happens. That’s the best I can do. If my channel doesn’t go viral… oh well… at least I’ll get my messages across. It’s hard to become a part of the viral video community but it’ll be cool to get there, I’m not gonna lie about that.

Don’t worry though, I’m not ignoring the music part of my channel. I’ll start uploading home performances of me again soon with my guitar. I’ll do both music and video blogging with my channel.

New videoblog coming…

I’m planning to make another new videoblog this week and will make it tomorrow. The video is gonna be about me defending the Nicole Arbour, “Dear Fat People” video and me supporting it. You don’t see too many people defending her and I think I might be the only one, ha! I’m sure she’ll like it and maybe I’ll get lucky enough to get some kind of response from her. Anyway, it’s time to get the truth out that obesity in America is a huge problem.

I got a new video teleprompter app for the Ipad and it’s an even better teleprompter than the one I had previously. The camera on the previous teleprompter sucked ’cause you can’t watch yourself while reading… well in this new app, you can watch yourself while reading so the videos will be a lot better.

I use a teleprompter so I can practice speaking clearly and trying to get better at speaking, ya know? Using a teleprompter is a good practice tool. Once I get better at speaking, hopefully pretty soon I’ll no longer have to use a teleprompter. There’s nothing wrong with using one ’cause most videobloggers in youtube use one, I’m pretty sure they all do. It’s how they make professional videos.

Why haters and negative people are nothing to me…

I have two different kinds of people that follow me on the internet.

1. True fans. The ones who truly like me and enjoy what I do. I have plenty of people who do treat me positively which is amazing.

2. Haters and negative people. I never understood why if you don’t like someone they continue to follow you anyways. I’ll get to that in a minute.

Yeah, my online web presence has always got mixed reactions which is actually pretty good, in my book. If you get a lot of haters & trolls attacking you, that’s probably because they are a bunch of losers with nothing better to do. Yes, I do know I have a lot of followers who just follow me as a way to make fun of me and follow me for their own entertainment but those people are nothing to me. Yeah, there are tons of people who thinks it’s okay to come online to make fun of me and bash me whenever they want to. If they think it’s okay, I’m gonna let them know it’s not. It’s not gonna happen under my watch. When I sometimes call them out for it, they almost always play innocent victim each time… they usually cry about it and think they have every right to be doing whatever you’re doing.

The best way to handle haters and negative people is just to ignore them completely. Don’t give them any acknowledgement. Pretend they are dead to you is the best way to handle them. Yeah, haters are always gonna keep replying to you the more you ignore them but if all they’re gonna do is bash you even if you ignore them, then they are obviously obsessed with you.

I ignore haters and negative people and it’s working. That’s the best you can do, ya know?

That’s why if I ever start dating women and start getting girlfriends, I don’t think I’m gonna reveal her publicly for her protection, ya know? Not sure. I don’t need haters making fun of her too and ruining things.

I don’t mind getting haters, I just don’t respond to any of them. Anything negative, I don’t respond to. They just can’t get the hint. I’m strict on moderating comments for a very good reason. I have my own reasons for doing so. I usually don’t respond to haters unless they go way out of line about me or if they attack someone I love which doesn’t happen much.

Like they all say, “Haters are gonna hate”. I only deal with positive and joyful people… that’s how I am. Yeah, I do know that there are a lot of people who make fun of me but I don’t give a shit. Fuck ’em for all I care. They’re a bunch of losers.

Thought For the Day: Do you make a lot of enemies in your life? Fuck ’em…

I came across this great meme in facebook so I decided to share here. This reminded me of myself so I had to get my thoughts on it. I’m sure you’ve dealt with this yourself. You make friends with people, later they become your enemies. All of a sudden you no longer get along with your friends and then you fight with them. Then you no longer see them anymore. I go through it all the time myself.

People come and go in my life. That’s the just the way life is.

If you’re constantly making enemies… the only answer to that is, fuck ’em. Just move on with your own life and continue to be you. Don’t change for anybody, ya know? You can’t please everybody and not everyone is gonna like you ’cause that’s the way life is. You’ll know who your true friends are when they continue to stick with you and I do have some people who have stayed loyal to me which is awesome really. When your so-called friend wanna start drama with you, it probably means they never cared for you after all that time.

While I do make a lot of enemies, I still have some people who stayed pretty loyal to me to this day. I have some supporters who are always in touch with me online, Willing to drop me a line and say “hey”. When they take the effort to add you every where in social networking, that’s a good enough sign that they really care for you, ya know?

If you make a lot of enemies, who cares. Just continue to live your life, give your haters the double finger like Stifler did in this photo and continue to be yourself. Don’t change for anyone at all.

I’ve been unfairly looked as a “troll”, a negative person or whatever those jackass haters wanna call me and they expect me to change for them? Not happening. If people don’t like who you are or how you act, fuck ’em. Nothing wrong with being yourself at all. I’m done trying to please others and trying to satisfy others. Being yourself and not giving a fuck is the right attitude to have. I vowed to have that attitude a long time ago.

Lyric writing, I kind of want to improve that too…

When writing original songs, some people may think I’m a good lyricist but I don’t think so. A lot of times, I wish I could write lyrics better too and I’m planning on it. Just recently, I just bought a rhyming dictionary and I also bought an instructional book called, “Writing Better Lyrics” by Pat Pattison which could help me out:

I would like to try to write lyrics a little more professionally and write song lyrics better. I’m working on it and studying. I’ve started working with that book I pointed out above and so far it’s helping me already. You don’t necessarily have to rhyme in songs if you don’t want to but I’m gonna try to do that more. I’m also gonna take timing and rhythm more seriously in lyric writing too.

I’m planning to start writing originals again. I’m always looking for ways to improve my music whether it will be for my guitar playing, singing or lyric writing. I’m just trying to find ways to write the best music possible. I just try to give it my all and just see what happens.

A couple of Haunted House videos…

I am now on Instagram which is a pretty cool social networking site, in my opinion. I’m late getting on instagram but late is better than never.

Anyway, here are some pretty cool videos of my trip to South Carolina when I went to see this Haunted House on Myrtle Beach. These are the best videos. These videos were filmed on my Ipod Touch but they surprisingly came out pretty good.

These videos were filmed like those “found footage” horror movies.

I didn’t get scared too much walking through the Haunted House. Why? It’s because I’m such a huge fan of the horror genre. Read a lot of horror books and saw a lot of horror films so I’m used to it so I don’t get jumped too easily (or get startled). These guys that worked there tried to jump me a lot but I only jumped like one or two times. I’m used to scary things that’s why.

I will admit; however that I was a little nervous, though… ’cause it was kind of creepy walking around in that building in the pitch black dark.

These Haunted Houses are fun, though and they do a good job. Enjoy the videos.

Just purchased a couple of albums from the Itunes store…

Ever since Apple Music came, it was to believed that you no longer have to buy music from the Itunes store, now that you will be able to stream them with the monthly paid subscription. All that is fine and good but there is a bit of a problem. Apple Music won’t let you sync their albums to your Ipods if you have an Ipod Touch 4… it probably has something to do with copyright, I bet. So if you wanna listen to Apple Music albums on the go, you would need one of the newer editions of the Ipod Touch like the 5th Generation or the 6th. I’m gonna get one of those soon.

I just purchased 3 albums from the Itunes store… the albums that I got were:

Iron Maiden – “The Book of Souls”:  I was gonna stream the new Iron Maiden album for free but why not just buy my own copy of the album? I wanna listen to this album on the go, on my Ipod like when I go to the gym and stuff. I know this is probably gonna be a great album anyway even if I haven’t heard it yet. Iron Maiden  always kicks ass.

N.W.A. “Straight Outta Compton”:  Thanks to that movie which introduced me to this album. I was pretty impressed with the album that I listened to it a couple of times actually. Listened to it like 2 or 3 times while I was on vacation in South Carolina. So I had to get my own copy of the album so I can listen to it on my Ipod. Good workout music. This album kind of makes me wanna get into rap & hip hop. Rap music isn’t a bad genre as some would make it out to be, I”ll write another topic on that another time.

Beth Hart “Better Than Home”:  I’m such a huge fan of hers. This is an excellent album too. It’s her best one, in my opinion. This album maybe more mellower than her earlier stuff but still really good. I just love listening to her singing. She’s got a great voice. She stayed away from the rock & blues stuff on this album, there’s more ballads and piano songs on this one. Still really good songwriting though. You should check out Beth Hart yourself.

Thought For The Day: Holding negative grudges with people is wrong, if you do that then you have problems…

This is true. Holding a negative grudge with people is wrong and childish, absolutely. It’s one thing I never did was hold a negative grudge against someone. I don’t go around hating people ’cause drama and negativity has never been my thing.

Yeah, lots of people have unfairly accused me of being an asshole and an internet troll but if you believe that, those accusations are mostly coming from people who don’t know me or can’t understand me. I can actually be a sweetheart of a guy to people and maybe that’s part of why I have haters? They can’t stand it that I’m a good guy and approachable with people. Some people act like I’m gonna bite when I’m not. I’m not that scary at all as I’m a human being just like you.

Of course, I’ve gotten into heated feuds with people over the years… when that stuff happens, I just let that stuff slide right by and move on with my life. If people don’t like you all of a sudden then fuck ’em. I don’t have time for negative people or assholes ’cause drama & negative has never been my thing. If you wanna give me drama, then you’ll probably get ignored by me.

Holding grudges with people is just stupid. I don’t do it. If people wanna bury the hatchet and play it cool with me then I’ll be all for it. If you’re the type of person who continues to hold a grudge against me even to this day, then chances are you got a lot of mental issues. The problem is you, not me.

I don’t have time for bullshit. I just wanna live my life and enjoy it, that’s all I care about. Just wanna play my guitar, workout in the gym and do the things I wanna do.

Yes, I do know some people which shall be nameless who continues to hold a grudge against me to this day but I don’t care. If they wanna continue to hate me like little kids, fine… let ’em. I believe these people watch too many soap operas and too much Jerry Springer. Once again, I don’t deal with drama queens or assholes and I’ve run into a lot of them over the years. I like being around people who treat me with love and respect and believe me I have plenty of people that do treat me good.

If people wanna still hold a grudge against me, that’s their prerogative. If you’re that type of person, chances are you have a lot of mental issues and you’ll have even worse issues up ahead in your life if you continue to hold a grudge against people.

If people still hold a grudge against you, pay no mind to them at all. Tell them, “Fuck you then” and move on with your life. It’s the best thing you can do if they don’t care to bury the hatchet with you even if you try.

Thinking I wanna get into slide guitar…

While I was on vacation in South Carolina, I found a guitar shop at this mall I went to when I went to see that movie. I wanted to look around that store longer but couldn’t stay long ’cause I had to leave for the movie, ya know? It was a pretty cool store. I wanted to look around in there for hours ’cause they had all kinds of stuff. It’s not just a guitar store though, they sell all instruments: pianos, keyboards, drums, basses, mandolins, banjos, etc.

I picked up a few little things from that store, though. Picked up a few pack of guitar strings. I think I have a heavier gauge of electric strings for my Hollowbody guitar ’cause I don’t like playing guitar with light strings. I would like heavier strings. Not too heavy but heavy enough to keep my callus’s going and to get a bigger & fatter sound in electric guitar. I also had to buy another capo ’cause my other capos broke.

I also picked up a glass slide which was around $5.00. I figure I wanna get into slide guitar thanks to slide guitarists Duane Allman and Derek Trucks for inspiring me to get into it. The Allman Brothers are the inspiration for me wanting to get into slide guitar so I figure I wanna learn too and I will. I tried to get into slide guitar before but wasn’t motivated enough to get into it ’cause slide guitar is kind of hard to learn but I figure I wanna be more dedicated to slide guitar. After watching a few instructional videos on how to play slide, it doesn’t seem that hard at all. I would like to play guitar solos with a slide with my original songs. Something different and more tasteful. Plus to learn how to play rhythm parts and riffs with a slide as well.

I love slide guitar. I’ll have to look online to see if I can find some good books that teaches you how to play slide and I will.
