Back home from South Carolina vacation…

Back from my week vacation from South Carolina. What did I do?

Well I went to the beach a few times. Listened to a lot of music and read a lot. Over the week vacation, I’ve read the book, “The Martian” by Andy Weir that movie that Matt Damon is gonna star in soon. After reading that book, I’m looking forward to that film now ’cause that story is really good. That’s what going on vacation is mostly about right? Relaxing, doing nothing and getting away from everything, ya know? Don’t get me wrong, though… I did go out and do some fun stuff in South Carolina.

I went to see the movie, “Straight Outta Compton” in a S.C. movie theater. I also went to Charleston to visit the USS Yorktown Aircraft Carrier and got to visit the historical Fort Sumter (a Fort where the Civil War started). I also went to Myrtle Beach to shop around and went through two Haunted Houses which were both fun.

See the pics and video of my vacation on my instagram if you want:

Did I talk to any women while I was there? Yeah, I talked to a few but mostly women who worked as a cashier at those tourist shops, ya know? I was walking through the Myrtle Beach boardwalk and there was this nice looking tattooed blonde standing outside of her store she was working at. It looks like no customers was in her store so she was standing outside. As I was walking by, that woman looked right at me, smiled and said, “Hi, how are you”… I smiled right back and said, “Doing pretty good, how about you?”. I thought about walking right over to chat with her a bit but had to go check out this Haunted House thing that I got a ticket for.

At a restaurant, there was this nice looking blonde waitress who waited on us… she was kind of being flirty with me by use of her body language. I’m like, “Why does this woman keep brushing her arm against mine and why does she keep leaning her body against mine each time she got near me?”. Is that a sign of attraction? I would say so. Some may say that she was doing it by accident but I didn’t think so. I think she knew what she was doing and was doing it on purpose. When women appear to dig you, they’ll let you know by use of body language and maybe I’ll have a topic on that soon. I’ve had women treated me like that before. It’s nothing new. When you see things like that it’s an IOI (Indicator of Interest).

It was a fun little vacation. Got to do some shopping and stuff too. Picked up a few movies on BluRay, a few books and a few guitar stuff (yeah, I found a guitar store there).

Now back to reality.

I find it amazing that I have all this support online… really I do…

It may not seem like it but I have a lot of supporters & fans online. Those supporters & fans are not just coming from the Capital District either. I have some support from people who live in other states and even some other countries.

I also have a lot of haters and bullies. My online web presence has always had a mixed response. If you love me, great. If you hate me, that’s great too.

I may not be nationally famous yet. You don’t see me in Rollingstone magazine or all over TMZ but that’s okay. I don’t do all of this online stuff to get famous. I do this stuff to entertain people. It’s just for my own amusement.

I don’t use the Internet to talk about my personal life like most people do. That’s why I like to talk about non-personal stuff like music, movies, politics and all that stuff.

I think all this support that I get is incredible. It’s an awesome feeling for sure. People like me for my blog, my Facebook, my music, and everything else that I do online.

I am now on Instagram and that is already getting a lot of support too. Maybe people respect me ’cause of my brutal honesty and not giving a shit? That’s one of the reason’s why I love Donald Trump ’cause his attitude is just like me.

It is crazy that I get all of this support but awesome at the same time. How come I don’t have a Metroland cover opportunity yet? HA! Who cares.

I’ll just continue to do my thing and entertain you guys ’cause that’s what I do this for.

Yeah my blogging and facebooking can sometimes get too extreme and offensive but if you don’t take it seriously, you would find what I do is entertaining. Entertainment aside though, I try to be real as possible ’cause I refuse to be a fake like some people.

I just like to be myself. I don’t talk about my personal life too much ’cause my life is actually pretty boring. All I do in life is play my guitar, workout in the gym and that’s pretty much it.

I don’t do this for fame. Blogging is just a hobby of mine. I use it as my own place to speak my mind. My blog is my freedom of speech.

I’m not gonna lie though, I would like my web presence to get national attention but it’s hard to do, though. That’s okay, if it doesn’t happen, I’ll just continue to do what I do. The blog just shows who I am so if you wanna get to know me, keep reading.

In South Carolina for the week…

image

Well, I am in South Carolina for all this weekend and all next week. Just a little vacation and to get away for a while.

Here’s a shirtless beach photo of me. I’m not afraid to go shirtless in public anymore like I used to be thanks for me getting into bodybuilding that helped.

Tried to run and do cardio on sand but kind of tricky. I’m better at running on the road or the treadmill. Plus it’s kind of tough to run when it’s hot out. I did ten minutes of running but walked the rest of the way.

Even though I’m not at home, I’ll try to post on the blog when I can, though. There is WiFi here.

If I were to make metal music of my own, what would it sound like???

Soon I would like to start making my own original metal songs when I’m ready. If I were to make a metal album of my own, what would it sound like? I won’t play death or black metal even though I like to listen to that stuff sometimes.

If I were to play metal music of my own… I would make original songs inspired by the likes of Metallica, Megadeth, Motorhead, Sabbath, etc. That kind of stuff.

I believe I can make metal music that metalheads would love. I could play downpicking power chords and riffs for sure… solos too. I just need to get better at my theory knowledge, ear training and improvisation. If you want to play metal and do it good, got to be good with that stuff. Playing metal requires a lot of music theory knowledge ’cause you need to learn the scales & modes and all that stuff. I’m working on all this stuff as much as possible.

I’ve been listening to metal music all my life so I’m in love with this genre for sure. I’m a metalhead too even though people can’t see it.

I would like to get my own band going too but when I do I’m gonna take it very seriously and be strict on talent. I’m gonna be looking for good drummers and good bass players. Find talent that would fit my style.

I’ve been listening to a lot of metal lately as you can tell. I just like the music ’cause that’s where all the good guitar playing is. I’ve started listening to all of Megadeth’s albums on Apple Music this week. I’ve heard most of Megadeth’s music in the past before but it’s good to listen to those albums again. I’ve always been a big Megadeth fan and even covered “Sweating Bullets” myself once which became a popular cover of mine.

Metal is what I prefer to listen to the most

I can prove to people that I can rock and one day I will. Watch me.

Video: Interesting video on how to write killer guitar solos…

Here’s an interesting guitar instructional video where this guy teaches you how to write killer guitar solos. How do you write killer guitar solos? Well this guy explains that you come up with a guitar solo by not having a guitar in your hands. He explains you come up with the guitar solo by listening to the music and the solo will come up in your head. When it comes up in your head, you sing to it and try to apply it on the guitar.

Which is good advice really and I’ll take it.

Which is why I’m trying my very best to get better at ear training and improvisation so I can be able to play what I hear in my head.

Why do you think all those guitar virtuosos play so great? The answer is simple really is ’cause they have what it takes to play what they hear in their head and that’s the kind of guitar player I wanna be. I’m working on it and trying the best I can.

My ear training is getting better and improving, though. I’m no guitar wizard yet but would definitely like to get there.

Music I’ve been listening to on Apple Music lately…

I’ve just finished listening to all Motorhead studio albums on Apple Music. Now Apple Music doesn’t have Motorhead’s entire catalog of albums. Motorhead is missing several of their albums from the Itunes store/Apple Music so I just listened to what they had on there. I fuckin’ love Motorhead, though! They play more than just heavy metal & blues. They do acoustic music and ballads too. As I listen to Motorhead’s older albums and new stuff, I’ve noticed that Lemmy’s singing voice has changed over the years.

I always wondered why Lemmy always sings with that growling voice of his. Probably part of that is because he’s a heavy smoker. He’s done drugs too, I believe but even though he doesn’t sing regularly like he used to without the growling, he’s still a great singer. I like the growling and snarly voice of Lemmy Kilmister… that’s a part of what makes Motorhead great. While I love all Motorhead albums, my favorite albums would have to be: “Ace of Spades”, “Aftershock”, “1916”, “Bomber” and “Iron Fist”. Motorhead has got a new album coming out later this month and can’t wait to hear that one as well. I’ve always wanted to get into Motorhead and finally got to. They are one of my favorite bands right now.

I’ve also listened to all 4 albums by the Runaways. Ya know that all female punk rock group with Joan Jett, Cherie Currie, Lita Ford, etc. I thought those albums were great as well. I love the Runaways and all their solo projects. I love Joan Jett’s solo stuff and I love LIta Ford’s solo stuff as well.

I’m also trying to listen to the rest of the Al Di Meola’s catalog ’cause I really am into his music. Al Di Meola’s music is addicting to me so I can’t stop listening to his stuff. Last night, I listened to his album, “Winter Nights” which is of course, a Christmas album. I love Al Di Meola’s music ’cause when I want to listen to relaxing music, I’ll listen to him. I just love his guitar playing and his music is fun to listen to.

This week, I’m gonna start listening to all of Megadeth’s albums and all of Phish’s albums. Last night, I listened to Megadeth’s album “Killing Is My Business” and Phish’s first album, “Junta”.  I’m a big Megadeth and Phish fan. I’ve heard some of their albums already but not all of them. Now that Apple Music is here and free, I’ll be able to listen to the rest of ’em.

Yeah, I listen to a lot of music albums and don’t feel ashamed for it. I listen to about 3 or 4 albums a day, sometimes more. I like to listen to full albums. Listen to an album from start to finish. That’s how I listen to music and it’s the way that it should be listened to. I’m not selective of what songs to hear, I listen to the whole damn record. Listening to music to me is way better than watching TV. I’ve always have been a big music listener my whole life and always listened to albums. Music is who I am and what I do. I will never change that.

I always found it important to listen to as much music as possible.

Another pic of that girl I was dancing with surfaces…

More pics of that EBJ Festival in Greenwich surfaces publicly thanks to the Journal Press newspaper who posted a bunch of them in their facebook so I stole this one from them since I was in it. The Journal Press took this one. You can get a better look at the girl too and you can tell that she was a gorgeous one.

Enjoy the pic. She was real cool and fun to talk to as well, we hit it right off. Wished I stayed for the rest of the show so I could hang out with her even longer. Oh well, maybe I’ll see her again at another EBJ show. I’m gonna go see the band more often ’cause I love going to their shows. They are the best band in Capital Area for sure.

If I want to play metal & hard rock guitar, I might have to buy a solid body electric guitar and I will…

If I want to play hard rock & metal on electric guitar, I might have to buy a solid body electric. I do have an electric guitar but it’s a full hollow body. The full hollow body maybe good for playing jazz, blues, regular rock n’ roll & lead guitar but metal, I don’t know. After a little research, I find that metal is not good on a full hollow body guitar. Well some guitarists had a different opinion ’cause there has been rock musicians who played hollow bodies in hard rock with such guitarists as Ted Nugent & Alex Lifeson. Who knows, maybe playing metal can work on a hollow body.

I’m still planning on buying a solid body electric sometime down the road though. When I do get one, I’ll get one with a whammy bar on it ’cause I wanna learn how to do whammy tricks with it. When I do get a solid body electric guitar, I’m thinking of going for a different brand other than Ibanez. When buying a new guitar, I usually stick with Ibanez ’cause I like the sound and the feeling but I think I’m gonna try a different sound. If I want to sound metal, I’ll probably go for a Washburn, maybe a Jackson or I’ll just go for a Fender strat. I really should get a solid body and will. If I were to get an electric guitar, I would get nothing too pricey… just somewhere around the $300 – $500 price range is all I need.

Actually, I may already have a solid body electric guitar but it’s an old one, I’ll have to see if it still works. It’s stored away in the attic, I’ll get it out later today.

One reason why I’ve been listening to a lot of metal, I kind of want to play that music myself…

One of the reasons why I like to listen to a lot of metal and hard rock lately is not only for my listening enjoyment… I also listen to it as inspiration for my own music. I’ve been training myself on how to play that music myself. I’ve been practising my rhythm playing a lot using a metronome, playing metal power chords so I can play a little thrash myself. I’m also learning how to shred a little bit. I’ve also been trying to teach myself how to growl a little bit too. I’ve been trying to figure out how to play metal guitar for many years actually and kind of want to get better at it. I kind of want to make a metal demo or an album. Only problem is I would need a band to do that stuff with, though. I did try writing original metal songs in the past before, however and I could try it again.

if I were to make a metal album/demo, what would the songs be about? A lot of metal bands would write songs about death, Satan, drugs and dark times in their lives but I don’t think I’m gonna do that. If I were to do a metal album, I would probably write fictional horror stories and put ’em into song. That is kind of an idea I would like to do. Kind of like what I did with “Evil Fred”, ya know? Maybe I could go back to the Evil Fred concept album idea that I had before and make it into a metal album or something?

This is something I’d like to do but not sure if it’ll happen or not. I believe I can make hard rock & metal of my own that could be every metalhead’s dream. I’m tired of being the acoustic solo guy all the time and wanna try something different. Something new. Something risky. Play heavy music that could scare a lot of people. It’s why I’ve been listening to bands like Sabbath, Dream Theater, Metallica, Megadeth, Maiden, Opeth, etc. Just looking for songwriting inspiration.

I wanna make heavy music of my own and will get around to it when I think I’m ready.

Video: Trolls, Haters, & Social Media Gangster Idiots Needs No Attention…

Why am I so strict on moderating? It’s because I get a bunch of loser trolls & haters attacking me for no reason. Seriously, I get so many of ’em. It’s why I have to moderate comments before “approving” them before posting them. I attract so many losers & assholes for whatever reason and if you think I enjoy it, I don’t. I just learn to deal with it and ignore it all. I just delete all negative things that come my way and block everyone. I can’t block people on wordpress ’cause wordpress don’t have a block feature but when I get trolls on this site, I just have no choice but to ignore ’em.

ET Williams is right that trolls & haters deserve no attention. When people are being attacked by trolls and haters some would respond to them and try to defend themselves but it’s a bad idea to do. When you respond, all you’re doing is getting them to bully you even more and much worse.

I’ve had some of the same haters that follow me for years and they still do. I’m like, if they don’t like me then why do they follow me still? It’s because they are obsessed and they have nothing else better to do. Even if you block them and try to ignore them they will always be attacking you for no reason ’cause they simply enjoy it. I’ve been doing a good job ignoring all the bullies and trolls out there… trust me I get a lot of ’em. Even if you want them to go away… they won’t. You try to get them to stop posting on your blog, youtube, twitter, etc. They’ll change their screen names or IP no.’s and using proxy servers like the losers they are and then they’ll keep at it.

This is a good video and worth listening to. Just be yourself and be who you wanna be, don’t listen to others that try to tell you who they want you to be. I have to be strict on moderating and don’t care if people don’t like it either.
