I try to play first person shooter games online like “Call of Duty”, “Medal of Honor” and many others, but when I do, it’s a huge pain in the ass. I don’t play first person shooter games online anymore. I’m pretty good playing first person shooter games online, but the main problem is that most gamers are just young kids. A lot of them are really bad at gaming. They just cheat. They do something they call, “camping”. “Camping” has been a huge problem with online first person shooter gaming. What “camping”, is they’ll hide in a really good hiding spot and wait for their opponents to come around and that’s a good opportunity for a good target. They can get away with killing many guys by “camping”.

“Camping” has been a huge problem ever since the old PC days of first person shooting online with old school games like “Duke Nukem”, “Doom”, “Quake”, “Unreal Tournament”, etc.

I think it’s more fun playing the storyline game, than the online gaming. I know in some games camping can be acceptable ’cause that’s the whole point in certain games, but in some games like “COD” or “Medal of Honor”, camping is considered cheating.

I wish there would be a first person shooter where it was designed that camping is not allowed. Online “camping” sucks. Those who camp in online gaming, should be found and beaten.

I have the first “Call of Duty: Black Ops”, game but I don’t think I’m gonna get the second one. Most of the war type of first person shooters like “COD” or “Medal of Honor”, they are very short games, you can beat ’em in like 5 or 10 minutes. Ridiculous. Played one, played them all. I haven’t been crazy about the recent game releases this year. Although I still want to get “Lollipop Chainsaw”. I need to catch up with the rest of the, “Dead Space” games ’cause “Dead Space 3” is coming out soon. I also plan on getting “Grand Theft Auto V”, when that comes out this Spring.

I haven’t been video gaming a lot lately. Not sure why. I bought “Skyrim” around the time that game came out. Played it for a little bit, but stopped for a long while. Did I get bored of that game? Maybe, I did. I’ll try get back into “Skyrim” ’cause I don’t think you’ll ever finish that game. The quests doesn’t stop. They go on forever. I didn’t get bored of video games completely though. I still have a passion for video gaming, but I don’t spend hours and hours gaming. I got better things to do, but I’ll get back into gaming again soon, hopefully. I take long breaks from gaming every now and then. I only play when ever I’m in the mood for it. Maybe I’ll get back into “Skyrim” this week.

Over the years, I’ve played plenty of fantasy role playing video games. I think “Elder Scrolls: Skyrim” is definitely one of the best games I’ve ever played. I just started it a week ago.

Whenever I feel done playing the guitar for the day or when I’m not working out, I’ll play video games or watch a movie or read a book. You need a break from guitar playing or working out, so you need to do your other hobbies & interests, to keep yourself inspired & entertained.

“Skyrim” is a pretty insane game and everyone is right, the game is addicting. I’m already pretty hooked to it. This game is pretty long and there’s too many quests to complete, so this game will take forever to finish, indeed. It might take me all Spring/Summer to finish.

So far, it’s an excellent game. The graphics are impressive, the writing is incredible, and the characters are fun. I got interested in this game ’cause of the internet buzz about it. Glad I got into the game too.

Yesterday afternoon, I ended up buying a new PS3 system and trashed my old one as I said I was gonna do. Let me tell you. The PS3 Slim is a much better system than the old fat design.

I started playing a few hours of “Skyrim” last night, and games look much better on the Slim too. The Slim has a better ventilation system too. Also, the picture on Netflix and BluRay discs are supposed to be amazing on the Slim too, that’s another reason I got it.

I plan to start watching Netflix stuff on it today to see what it’s like. I think I’m going to start re-watching, all the “Star Trek” shows on Netflix. Yes, that includes the original Trek, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise. I’m a big Trek geek as some of you know and I’ve been planning on watching all the Trek shows on Netflix for quite some time.

Glad, I got the new PS3 Slim, and this system should last for a long time.

I was playing, “Elder Scrolls: Oblivion” most of the week. About once or twice, my system would shut down by itself. I kept thinking it was the game that was making my system crash since the game was a pre-owned copy. Then my PS3 shut down for good. When I try to turn it on, a yellow light will come on for a second. Means it’s the “Yellow Light of Death”. You know with the Xbox360, sometimes you get the Red Ring of Death? Well the PS3 will sometimes either get the “Red Light of Death” or the “Yellow Light of Death”. Well, I finally got the yellow.

I’ve done some research on how to repair but you have to either mail the system to Sony, but it’ll cost me some big money to get it repaired from SONY since my 1 year warranty is up, or you can take it apart and fix it yourself with a heat gun. The system is either overheated or something wrong with the motherboard or power supply.

This really blows, and a pain in the ass, but I’ve had my PS3 system for a good 3 or 4 years now. The older the system gets, the more it will have problems. Sony did this on purpose for everyone, so people can either pay money to get it repaired or go buy a new one. Just the company’s sneaky little way of making more money.

Instead of going through all that repairing, for fear of making the PS3 system much worse, I’ll probably just give it up and buy a new PS3 system sometime this Spring/Summer. The system I own is not the new PS3 Slim, it’s the original model.

That’s okay though, there’s no really important data on the Ps3 that I need. I just use it for gaming and watching Netflix streams, that’s pretty much it.

I could probably take it to a video game store and have it looked at but getting it repaired would probably cost more cash. So buying a whole new PS3 console is my best bet. No other choice really.

At first, I thought it the game doing it, but it was the system itself. I’ll see what I can do. I was going to watch “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” on Blu Ray through the PS3 system but won’t be able to. At least the Blu Ray set of “Dragon Tattoo”, has a DVD version included, so I’ll watch the DVD version tonight instead.
