I’m going to have to start “Dead Space” all over again!!!

“Dead Space” is the most challenging and difficult game I’ve ever played. It’s probably the most hardest game to play of the year 2008. That’s the way video games should be, really hard, difficult and challenging.

There are 12 Chapters in the game, and so far, I’m all the way up to Chapter 3 in a mission called “Course Correction”. I’m trying to fight this mini boss, called the brute, which is a giant tentacle that comes up and grabs you, it pulls you down the hallway and you must kill it off to survive. With only 2 line racks of ammo left on the liner gun, it’s impossible to kill this thing so I must of missed something in this level to get more ammo, so I’m going to have to start this game over again today. I’ll just delete the saved game and start all over again.

I don’t mind though ’cause the game is fuckin’ awesome and it’s definitely the best game of the year.

“Dead Space” thoughts…

So I’ve been playing the video game “Dead Space” for the last couple of days, been playing many hours of it. The game is addicting.

The plot/synopsis for “Dead Space” tells a story about a man named Isaac Clarke, he’s an engineer of a spaceship that he must repair to get it back to working order again. The only problem is, the spaceship has evil alien beings all over the place that Isaac must destroy in order to survive. The aliens are actually human people infected with virus like alien DNA.

My thougths on the game so far, is that I think this one might be my choice for “Game of the Year 2008”, don’t know yet.

The graphics are beautiful and amazing. It makes you feel like you’re in an actual spaceship. The sound of the game just sends chills down your spine. The game is actually kind of scary as hell and very creepy to play. It’s very dark. Probably one of the darkest games I’ve ever played. The game has a lot of blood and gore that is actually disgusting, so if you have a weak stomach, do NOT play this. This game is deifnitely something that your kids can’t be seeing.

The game is challenging, difficult and frustrating but I’m hanging in there and getting kind of far into the game already. This game is highly reccomended. I probably going to be playing this game most of the day today. It’s better playing this game alone with all the lights off, and I’m sure it would be even better playing the game on a flat screen plasma TV with a 5.1. surround sound system.

This game is fucking amazing!!! If you own a Ps3 or Xbox360, do yourself a favor and get it. It would make a great holiday gift too, if you plan on doing last minute Christmas shopping today.

“Dead Space” maybe my next game purchase for the PS3…

This game is a mix of horror/action/sci fi. It’s also a mix of a first person shooter and a regular adventure game with a storyline into it. There are other games I want to get for the Ps3 but once I saw the trailer for this game, I’ve been sold to this one.

I still haven’t beaten “Metal Gear Solid 4” yet, I just finally beat the first boss of that game, the Laughing Octopus, it was challenging and difficult boss to beat, but I took time and patience to figure out how to get past that Laughing Octopus character. “Metal Gear Solid 4” is a sweet game although I wish the game wasn’t so long with the storyline segments, that’s my only complaint.

I just hope “Dead Space” has more action than storyline.

While I do love to play a variety of genres in video games, I mostly like to play action adventure type of stuff. I do enjoy first person shooter vidoe games, I do enjoy sports games sometimes, I love any kind of car racing videogame like “Need For Speed” or “Midnight Club” or whatever. I enjoy fighting games such as Soul Calibur, Smackdown Vs. Raw, etc.

I enjoy action/adventure games the most because I do like the storytelling in some of them games, the action is a lot of fun and most importantly action/adventure games can get you thinking, when you’re walking around places trying to figure out clues and puzzles and stuff like that, it gets you thinking and learning. Action/adventure video games can be insightful.

If I had the skills, I could go to college to learn animation for video games, that would be a cool career for me to have, work for the video gaming industry. I’m a storyteller in fiction, and I could come up with a lot of great story ideas for original video games.
