Just like most people, Gene Wilder has been an important part of my life too. Everybody should have seen a Gene Wilder movie. Like most people, the original “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” has always been a huge part of my childhood. I’ve seen the original “Willy Wonka” hundreds of times. It’s a great film and one of the best children’s movies out there.
Gene has also been well-known for other roles. He has teamed up with Mel Brooks for three films which are “Young Frankenstein”, “Blazing Saddles” and “The Producers”. Gene has also worked with comedian Richard Pryor for two films in “See No Evil, Hear No Evil” and “Stir Crazy”. Gene has also directed a few films himself in which he starred in also… those films were “Haunted Honeymoon” and “The Women In Red” which are both great films too.
I have “Young Frankenstein” in my BluRay collection and thinking about watching it tonight in honor of Gene.
Gene was a genius actor for sure. I’ve watched his movies all my life. RIP Gene and thank you.
