Report: Sugarland founder sues current band members…

The popular country band Sugarland, is being sued by the band’s original founder and former bandmate, Kristen Hall who is the one who formed this group herself. She filed suit against this band for $1.5 million when she was promised she would get her share of profits even after she left the band back in 2005 to pursue a solo career. The current members Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush has made an agreement with Kristen long ago to share any profits but she was never paid.

The band’s newest album, “Love on the Inside” hit no 1. in the Billboard beating Miley Cyrus in a short period of time after the single “All I Want To Do” became a mainstream success.

Billboard reports:

Kristen created the band, so she has every right to be doing this, so I’m with her on this one. If you own the band, you have every right to get profits shared. It doesn’t matter if you play in the band anymore or not.

Kristen should not have allowed the band to continue without her in the first place.

All I want to “Do do do do do Do do do do…”

  1. sugarland should change their name to “nettes/bush” and rid themselves completely of her…she stuck out like a sore thumb anyway when she was with them. she was an embarrassment on the stage. kristen is full of herself with that “god complex” she has and that “good for me” attitude. she is selfish and self-centered. kristen left on her own volition leaving jenn and kristian high and dry. at the time jenn and kristian didn’t know how much better off they’d be without her. the band is as successful as it is now because they are a duo.
