Report: Dimension films to move on without Rob Zombie for “Halloween” sequel?

This blog is claiming that a magazine called Rue Morgue is confirming that Dimension studios could move on to a “Halloween” sequel without Rob Zombie.

To be honest, I am not believing this news as I am calling it a big fat rumour, hey I’m not blaming this blogger for starting the rumour, keep in mind that, magazines can make mistakes too.

I am not believe this news until Rob Zombie himself says he is not doing a “Halloween 2”.

More on it here:

I really hope this ain’t true. I really enjoyed the Halloween remake by Rob Zombie. It’s an intense film and love it very much.

If Dimension is serious on ditching Rob Zombie for the sequel, then that would be disgraceful and a shame to the companies part. Rob Zombie made the “Halloween” remake one of the most successful horror film remakes ever made. Before the “Halloween” remake, there were hardily any horror movie remakes then. Now at the world of horror films today, most horror movie classics are all being remade now because Rob Zombie made that happen with “Halloween”. That’s how Rob changed the movie industry.

If it turns out true that Dimension is getting rid of Rob Zombie for the sequel, then I will have no interest in it at all whatsoever.

  1. Eh. Zombie’s Halloween was okay, but nothing special, IMO. I think, the whole franchise lost it when Curse came out anyway (though I keep going to see the newest release).

I wasn’t really happy with rebooting the series, but then on the other hand, there’s no point for Michael’s existence unless Laurie is around. I think it’s a horror franchise better left dead.

  2. My problem with Zombies Halloween is that he treated the most important character in Carpenters original Laurie Strode like an underwritten after thought. She suddenly appears in the middle of the film as a babysitter with little or no personality! That to me is unforgivable.
