Report: “Hounddog” controversial film out in selective theaters now…

The controversial drama film “Hounddog” which stars the 14 year old Dakota Fanning, it’s about a trouble girl in a troubled life living in a abusive family. She is a girl that enjoys music and idolizes Elvis Presley. In the film, the young girl gets raped. There is no underage nudity in the film for legal reasons of course, all the rape scene shows is Dakota’s face.

When the film made it’s debut at Sundance festival in 2007, the film created a negative reaction by it’s audience. It’s been said that nobody wanted to see the film again after the festival ended.

The film “Hounddog” that also stars Piper Laurie, David Morse, and Robin Wright Penn hits selective theaters in the U.S.

The film looks interesting, I’ll have to see it when it comes out on DVD. As long as it created a negative audience reaction, then it is probably good. I think the film isn’t supposed to entertain people, it’s supposed to send a message across about child rape. I think the film’s goal is to help save children from rape.

See the trailer of the film below.
