Woah! McCain continues to show that he is the fuckin’ man! Joe the Plumber? LOL! Saturday Night Live will be all over the Joe the Plumber stuff this Saturday indeed.
Best thing that happened in the debate tonight is McCain calling out on Obama associating with William Ayers and those other bad people he associated with in the past. McCain did good by saying that Obama needs to be investigated that he was with those people. While Obama is playing innocent claiming he is not hanging around and associating with terrorists, you still can’t trust the guy. While Obama defended himself about the William Ayers controversy tonight, notice how Obama still doesn’t say anything about supporting terrorism. That says something there.
You have to accept the fact that Barack Obama is a liar and he isn’t to be trusted. McCain got that out of him tonight. I applaud McCain tonight. Obama owned by McCain tonight. That Bill Ayers controversy isn’t gonna get Obama elected. Don’t raise taxes by voting for Obama. Obama will make the economy much worse although he claims he’s going to make it better. McCain is smart and powerful. McCain will be in the White House no matter what happens.

I think that it was close — here’s my analysis:

McCain looked in good spirits, I think he’s relieved that this thing is nearly over and we’ll have a new president that isn’t him. Face it, man, he’s old and he’s exhausted. The next president is going to have the toughest job in the world fixing all of Bush’s bullshit, do you think an old man is up to it? Do you think at this point that McCain thinks he’s up to it? No, but he still has to put on a good show. He knows he’s done. What was up with all of his blinking and smirks? Don’t be too disappointed when he loses because I have a good feeling that he won’t be either.

You need to learn your president History, most Presidents of the United States over the years are old. I think the oldest was Abraham Lincoln, not sure though.
I’ll look it up.

At 73 McCain is the oldest to ever run for president for first term. Look it up. All other first termers were younger, even Reagan. The point I was trying to make, and have been trying to make, is that we are in a world of shit right now. We have business to finish in Afghanistan and at the same time we need to get the hell out of Iraq and let those folks stand on their own. We gave them the training and the tools, I say our job is done there and they need to take care of themselves from here on. Our presence there is what’s causing the problems. Besides, after all we did for them, those fuckers are selling the oil that thousands of Americans died for to China! Bastards! Our economy is in the toilet, people are losing their jobs, banks don’t have money to lend to people who need it anymore, and people’s savings and investments are evaporating into thin air. We need someone with intellect, curiosity, diplomacy, courage, and energy to handle these problems. McCain has two of those features but Obama has all of them. As a veteran McCain will always have my respect and gratitude but that is not to say that Obama hasn’t also dedicated his life to service to his country in other ways.
PS the early polls say Obama whupped ass. Like 58 for to 31 against.

Oh, and Lincoln (February 12, 1809 – April 15, 1865) was 51 when sworn in 3/4/1860. I think a few have been older than him.

The oldest president to date (age 87) when elected was Martin Van Buren in 1832. He was the governor of the then Vermontachusetts (later split into Vermont and Massachusetts).

You have to understand that all them polls are doing is asking for viewers opinion on which candidate did better. They are not really showing who won.

who did better = who won. there is no official judge or referee who tells people who the winner was. every poll from every newspaper, even fox news, says obama won. which means he did better.
true local fact president van buren was born in new york, in kindalatie, which later got split into kinderhook and valatie. you can visit his house down there. it has steam powered toilets!!!

Great analysis, Kev! You sure you didn’t miss your calling in the Political Analysis Field?!?! 😉
One thing I did notice, that you didn’t mention kev, was how nervous Obama looked. It was crazy! He was getting all agitated and squirming in his seat anytime Mccain talked. He wouldn’t even let the guy finish a damn sentance! I could have sworn there was at least 5 or 6 times when it looked like Obama was going to lose it and go off in a physical tirade. McCain came off as the better man and even smiled when Obama was making his allegations like a desperate man who knows he is going to lose. McCain was on the higher ground and showed what a maverick he is. MCCAIN/PALIN 08!!!!!

McCain is a liar. He attacked Obama for his alleged association with ACORN, and accused ACORN of voter fraud, yet it was McCain who was a keynote speaker at a 2006 ACORN rally in Miami (and the ACORN voter fraud allegations were also disproven). The video proof is on YouTube; footage from the rally, McCain takes the stage at 1m30s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJ9wy2MI1NI
