In case you wrestling fans haven’t noticed, WWE hasn’t had a Diva pose for Playboy in such a long time. The picture above is the latest Diva posing for Playboy way back in the April issue of 2008.
Why? Rumours swirling around the wrestling websites WWE could stop having Divas pose nude for Playboy for good.
Reasons being, that WWE wants their RAW, ECW, and Smackdown shows to be more children oriented like it used to be in the 80’s and early 90’s of wrestling. WWE wants to stop writing storylines and matches aimed toward the adults. They want children to start watching WWE again.
Which is a great thing they are doing because I’m sure that everyone watched wrestling as a young child whether you still watch it or not. Notice that John Cena has turned Hulk Hogan like and Randy Orton is starting to become more like Stone Cold/The Rock.
Thing is, WWE wants the next Wrestlemania for the young children to enjoy, so WWE is quickly trying it’s best for the shows to go PG. For that, this might be the reason that WWE might quit doing Playboy for the Divas.
WWE deserves to be popular and mainstream again like it was in the 80’s and 90’s, so they are trying their best to be WWE old school again. Children are not allowed to buy Playboy of course, but think how their parents would react if they were still having Divas posing nude. WWE wants to avoid an outrage by parents, and they don’t want to turn parents off by forcing children to switch the channels and not taking them to live WWE shows.
While I’m a fan of Playboy magazine, I like reading it, I think it’s a good idea that WWE should stop having Divas posing. Children deserve to be WWE fans again, go back to old school WWE the way it was before!
Oh yeah, speaking of WWE, I will be going to Smackdown on March 1st at the Glens Falls Civic Center, I’ll be ordering tickets this weekend or next week. I haven’t been to a WWE show in a long time and now that WWE is performing closer, I’ll be able to go. Glens Falls, the hometown of Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Hacksaw is still performing in WWE today so you know he will make an appearance, maybe even give him a main event match like WWE always do to a wrestler when a show is in their hometown. Can’t wait to go to the show. I’ll bring my digital camera and take pictures of the superstars in action, I’m gonna try to get good seats for that. Yes, cameras are allowed at WWE shows, people take pics all the time at wrestling shows. Looking forward to it.

Wow you must be some kind of idiot thinking WWE back in the 80’s was rated PG. If you didn’t know already, back in the 80’s anything PG rated was really PG-14 in todays time. But later on in the 90’s the government wanted movies to be properly rated, so they went in and changed most ratings.
Yes, you are right that children watched WWE way back then, but you want to know why they watched it, because parents weren’t as protective as they are now. Parents are smart enough now to look at tv ratings. Sooner or later, parents will start suing WWE because their kids tried imitating some wrestling moves, then hurting themselves in the process. We all did it as kids, and hurt our selves too. With parents being more protective, WWE will have some law suits on there hands.
And if you think you will see more action than segmants, than your wrong my friend. WWE will do more segments than wrestling now. When you watch WWE now the segments over shadow the matches most of the time.
Oh and if you didn’t know by now WWE’s ratings on all shows (Raw, Smackdown, ECW, and Superstars) have been plumiting downwards for weeks now. Raw was a 3.7 one week another week later it dropped down to a 3.4. Smackdown is all the way down in the 1.5 ratings area. Dude, WWE won’t be getting better any time now.
Now I’m not saying stop watching WWE, if you want action I would watch TNA while still watching WWE on the side.
One more thing, WWE had the highest ratings ever when they weren’t PG. The Attitude Era was WWE’s biggest push to the top of most watched entertainment shows. WWE’s losing they’re hype man.
