Thought: Stephen King better watch out, because Robert Ludlum is about ready to take over his spotlight!!!

Robert Ludlum, an author, seems to be the big thing in the movie business and the video game world. It also seems like Stephen King is no longer in the spotlight in Hollywood anymore. In the past, Hollywood were making movies off of everyone of Stephen King’s novels just about and sometimes video games get made off of his books too. Robert Ludlum, seems to be getting bigger than Stephen King, thanks to the Jason Bourne series.

I’ve never read any Ludlum novels, but it makes me want to start reading some. I think it’s a proven fact that Ludlum will be the next Stephen King of all media. I know Robert Ludlum is dead, but this will be a great honor for him and this is something that he would have of wanted, indeed.

  1. I know Ludlum is dead, I said that in this post…but dead writers still can take the spotlight of writers who are alive.

Edgar Allan Poe is still popular after all these years. And so is J.R.R. Tolkien.

It doesn’t matter if writers, actors, musicians are dead or alive, their legacy can still go strong and still be alive.

  3. Also, if you want to talk about overrated authors, I don’t think Ludlum is overrated at all, he’s been under appreciated for years until Hollywood made those Jason Bourne movies, of course, that’s just my opinion. I think the Jason Bourne movies made Ludlum a little more well known.

As a major book reader myself, I can name some overrated authors if you want to talk about overrated:

    1. Stephen King (there, I said it, used to like him, but his writing has gotten bad these days)

    2. John Grisham (he can’t think of anything other to write besides boring court dramas)

    3. Dean Koontz (used to love his books, but haven’t been interested in anything new he’s been publishing lately, I like old school Koontz)

    4. J.K. Rowling (Need I say more?)

    5. L. Ron Hubbard (“Battlefield Earth” author and Scientology religion creator he’s mostly known for, but I have read his books before, he’s a bit overrated)

    There’s your true overrated list.
