I say think long and hard before you get that or any tattoo. EVERYONE knows that kids are afraid of birds when they are perched on skulls. I can only hope if you get it that you have it where a child won\’t see it. Also do not get it where a judge can see it. That is the first rule of getting a tattoo.
Be sure you want to have that tattoo the rest of your life. In the nineties I went out with a girl named Mona. She was a big Third Eye Blind fan. One day trying to impress her I went to Tommy Spauldings tattoo parlor and fried dough emporium. Got the Third Eye Blind logo on my arm. Remember Third Eye Blind? Thought so. Boy do I regret it. 3 weeks later Mona Golub up and left me for another woman. I\’m stuck with a shitty band tattoo who I thought I liked. A very confusing time in my life.
Got another tattoo shortly after in NYC (New York City). I had been drinking trying to get over Mona leaving me for the bartender at the GSpot in Cohoes. I was drunk and wearing my Greek Navy Outfit and decided to get a tattoo. At the time I was a huge fan of Howard Stern. Got the faces of Howard, Robin, Fred errr Eric Norris, Ba Ba Booey and….. Billy West. Billy was a replacement for Jackie Martling at the time. He was only on a few months and was then replaced by Artie Lange. This tattoo really dates me. I have this across my back. I\’ve tried laser surgery. It is expensive and looks like I have third degree burns on my back. I never take my shirt off. I shower at the gym with my shirt on. Think long and hard before you get a tattoo. Don\’t be a sucker like me.
There are ways to make your tattoo look good on your body, I think you have to learn to take care of it. My brother has a couple of tattoos already, and they look fine on him. No third degree burn marks or nothing like that. You gotta learn to take care of it.
You wonder why all these rock musicians have tattoos that look so good on them? I think it’s because they know how to take good care of them.
I am a fan of tats myself and want to start getting some in the future. I hate how people try to talk me out of it.
