Congratulations go out to Rush, who are the new Rock and Roll Hall of Famers!!!

Well guys, they finally made it! Rush is finally in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! After years of fans complaining of them not making it in, the Hall of Fame finally heard us and gave us what we want. I agree that Rush deserves this and they should have been inducted ever since the Hall of Fame started, a long time ago. The Hall of Fame have never been progressive rock/metal friendly at all. They are starting to give progressive rock and metal a little more respect, as they inducted Metallica, last year, but they are still falling behind on legendary progressive and metal bands.

Other inductees who made it in 2013 are Heart, Randy Newman, Public Enemy, Donna Summer, Albert King, Lou Adler, and Quincy Jones.

I’m disappointed that Deep Purple and Joan Jett got the snub, but there’s always next year.

What other progressive rock and metal bands deserve an induction? Well, other than Deep Purple… Megadeth certainly deserves in. Jethro Tull too. Dream Theater, maybe? Iron Maiden, most definitely. Kiss, of course. There are too many that deserves in.

    1. I don’t get why people have to be so hateful and negative toward music. If you’ve noticed in my blogs over the years, I’ve always had a positive direction toward music. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame should be respected. I respect them. They’re doing the right things and they know what they’re doing.

  2. The RRHOF is a joke. Beet is right. It’s completely meaningless. They induct artists that are NOT rock and roll, while completely ignoring other legitimate genres of rock.

    Rush is too much of a class act to be slumming it in the RRHOF. And Rush fans certainly don’t need any validation from from such a waste of an organization to know they are one of the greatest bands ever to hit the stage.

    The RRHOF is a complete waste and an embarrassment to music and just shows how pathetic the “music industry” is. Music and music industry are two different things. “Music industry” is pervertiung music.

    There is no integrity in the music industry anymore, and the RRHOF is a shining example of just how far down the shitter it has gone.

      1. Seriously, anybody who thinks other genres is not rock n’ roll and can’t see how other genres originated from rock n’ roll, is VERY uneducated with music. Rock is the roots of all genres. That’s why the RRHOF induct artists of all genres. They’re doing the right things. Do your fact checking.

      2. Dude, we’re not talking about allowing other genres in, we’re talking about the Hall of Fame in general, it’s origins, who runs it, the nomination selection process, the voting (which has actually been rigged before…see The Dave Clark Five), etc. etc. It’s a sham.

      3. It’s still an opinion, though. I like to talk about factual things, not opinions. Big difference.

  3. But the vote rigging is a fact. And you saying that the Hall of Fame knows what it’s doing is just an opinion too.
