Dolly Parton is officially now in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, will be interesting to see how she responds to this one…

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2022 just announced today and of course, Dolly Parton made it in. Now we’ll see how she responds to this one as I’m sure she’ll put out a statement later today when she gets to it. She rejected the nomination but the Hall of Fame refused to take her out and kept her in. Now she’s an official Hall of Fame inductee. Now we’ll see if Dolly herself will be there to give her acceptance speech and announce whether or not she will perform at the ceremony. I can’t wait for her response to this one myself.

Anyway… Eminem doesn’t belong in there but it’s nice to see that Judas Priest finally in when they should have been in a long time ago. Same with Pat Benatar, she should have been in a long time ago too. I’m a fan of Lionel Richie believe it or not so he’s definitely worthy. I’m also glad that Eurythmics is finally in too ’cause I love them.

Now we’ll wait for Dolly’s response… will she accept or not? We’ll see. I hope she sticks to her guns. Hopefully she doesn’t flip.

I’ll confess it finally… the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame can never get anything right… they freakin’ suck and getting worse…

I used to have no problem with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland and I used to defend them but after seeing this year’s 2020 inductees, I’ll no longer defend them no more. Like the title of this topic says, I’ll confess it finally that the Rock Hall of Fame don’t know what they’re doing and they haven’t been for a long time. For the first time I think, I’m upset with the inductees this year and disappointed like most.

Motorhead, Judas Priest, Soundgarden, Thin Lizzy and Pat Benatar snubbed this year but non-rock n’ roll acts like Whitney Houston and Notorious BIG get it instead? Fucking serious?

The only inductees they got right this year were the Doobie Brothers and T-Rex but Whitney Houston, Notorious, Depeche Mode and NIN? No thanks!

I know the Hall of Fame are slowly trying to induct more rock but they fail at that each year. I know they are also trying to induct more Seattle grunge bands… they already inducted Nirvana and Pearl Jam finally but it’s crazy that they snubbed Soundgarden. It’s like, really? Are they out of their fucking minds?

After seeing this year’s Hall of Fame inductees, it’s appearing more and more that today’s music industry are pretty anti-rock and they have been for a pretty long time. They’re trying to act like rock n’ roll doesn’t exist anymore and seems like they’re trying to make rock disappear completely. That’s why the industry always constantly ramming pop, rap and country down our throats still. Gene Simmons is right that rock n’ roll is dead… it’s just about there anyways.

Like I said above, the Doobie Brothers and T-Rex were both worthy…. the Hall of Fame got those two right and I love both of those bands. The Doobie Brothers are rock n’ roll and they wrote many hits that we all know and love. T-Rex are hit makers too but their anthem is “Bang a Gong (Get it On)” which is a song that I love.  Marc Bolan who is the singer/guitarist of T-Rex is no longer with us as he died in the year 1977 due to a car crash at a young age of 29 but this will be a nice tribute for him and I wonder who is going to induct T-Rex into the Hall of Fame? That will be interesting. T-Rex was long overdue… I love that fucking band as I’m a huge fan. I’m sure the surviving members of T-Rex will be there to accept the induction… I think some of them died and some of them are still living today.

I’ll have to agree with everyone finally that the Hall of Fame sucks and getting worse every year. They aren’t getting any better either.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees for 2020 are out… my thoughts on each one…

Well, the nominees for the 2020 Rock Hall of Fame are out. I’ve recently heard that Jann Wenner just retired as chairman from the Rock Hall of Fame which is good riddance, anyways. I never liked that guy being in charge of the Hall of Fame ’cause he was awful. I’m hoping the new chairman would be better than Wenner but I doubt it, though.

Anyhow, the Rock Hall of Fame in Cleveland just released this year’s nominees.

The bands/artists that I think deserves to get inducted the most:

Pat Benatar, Judas Priest, Motorhead, The Doobie Brothers, Soundgarden, T. Rex, Todd Rundgren, Depeche Mode and Thin Lizzy.

Those are the acts that are more deserving, in my opinion.

I love Pat Benatar… even though her songs are more pop/rock, she is still rock n’ roll ’cause her music has a lot of guitar playing and stuff, ya know? I definitely think Judas Priest, Motorhead, Doobie Brothers, T. Rex, Rundgren, Depeche Mode and Thin Lizzy are definitely worthy.

I’m sure some of you thinking which Thin Lizzy the Rock Hall is referring to? There are two Thin Lizzy bands, the one that did the hit “Boys Are Back in Town” and the other with guitarist Gary Moore. I think the “Boys Are Back In Town” Thin Lizzy are the ones who got nominated and they are a great band. I once got the opportunity to see Thin Lizzy live in concert a long time ago and they performed “Boys are Back in Town” of course, that’s a show I’ll never forget. They are totally worthy for the Hall of Fame for sure.

Soundgarden maybe somewhat new ’cause they emerged from the early 90’s but they are still worthy.

As for Whitney Houston, love her but she ain’t rock n’ roll enough to get in the Hall the Fame. The same can be said for Dave Matthews and the Notorious BIG.

As for Kraftwerk and MC5…. I’m familiar with their names but I never bought their records and haven’t heard their music much.

Nine Inch Nails I’ve listened to a lot over the years but I’m not a big fan of them though and think it’s too soon for them to get in.

As for Rufus with Chaka Khan, I’ve never listened too much but I’m familiar with their songs.

I think it’s finally time for more “Rock and roll” acts to be inducted but I really hope that Judas Priest and Motorhead gets in finally, at least. Those two bands should have gotten inducted a long time ago too and long overdue.

I’m trying to get into more Judas Priest music as I only own two albums by them but I’m planning on buying more of their stuff. I think Rob Halford is definitely one of the best singers in rock. I hope they don’t get ignored this time and hope they make it in finally.

If Trump is blocked of the nomination at the Convention, there will probably be a riot…

Even though there are rules in the election process, politicians never follow them anyways. Politicians are always stealing elections and cheating them. Like I said before what’s stopping politicians from doing the same? If Trump is robbed of the nomination at the Convention, I’m predicting there will probably be a riot by angry Trump supporters. If the Convention is successful at stopping Trump, man, they better be ready in Cleveland ’cause Trump supporters will probably start a riot.

If you think the Black Lives Matter riots in Baltimore was bad, wait until the riots happen at Cleveland during the Convention if Trump is denied of the nomination.

It’ll be very sad and unfair to Trump and his supporters if the GOP is successful at stopping him ’cause after all this hard work that Trump went through. That’s why the Convention is gonna get a riot if Trump gets blocked. So the GOP better do the right thing and give Trump the nomination or things are not gonna be pretty after.

Lets hope Trump does get the nomination fairly though. We’re all praying and hoping for Trump. We want him the next POTUS and it’s a shame that people don’t care what we want.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees announced!!!

The 2016 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has been announced. Deep Purple, Cheap Trick, Steve Miller, Chicago and the N.W.A. has all been inducted.

I’m very happy for Deep Purple and Cheap Trick ’cause I’m a huge fan of both of those bands. As for Deep Purple, I’m only a fan of the Ritchie Blackmore era, the Steve Morse era not so much. I’m glad Deep Purple finally got the induction which is long overdue. The question you have to ask is will Ritchie Blackmore finally reunite with Deep Purple to accept the induction with the band and possibly perform with them at the show? Who knows, we’ll have to wait to see what Ritchie himself says. I’m sure Ritchie will be there to accept the induction with the band but performing with them again is all up to him. I would love to see Ritchie perform “Smoke On the Water” and “Highway Star” with them again. That would be fucking cool! Only Ritchie could play those two songs well.

I was never much of a fan of Chicago ’cause I never really listened to them too much. I was never much of a fan of Steve Miller but I heard his songs all over the radio all the time. Steve Miller is a hit maker no doubt!

I’m happy for the NWA getting the induction ’cause agree with it or not, they are deserving of the Hall of Fame.

Sad to see that the prog rock band, YES got snubbed again but hopefully they’ll get their time for the next one.

15 Bands & Artists who STILL need an induction in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame…

Every year when the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame comes around, I would usually compile a list of bands and artists that still need to get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony in Cleveland. Sometimes the lists turn out a little different but I don’t mind doing this list again…

Here’s a top fifteen list of legendary bands & artists that hasn’t gotten inducted yet but SHOULD:

  • Deep Purple: Hopefully the next Hall of Fame will be their time!
  • Yes: The legendary prog rock band who’s famous for songs “Roundabout” and “Owner of a Lonely Heart”. Hopefully the next Hall of Fame will be their time as well and I think it will be.
  • Billy Idol:  This guy hasn’t even gotten a nomination yet either. I don’t think he’s ever gotten one and I think it’s time that Billy Idol get inducted? His career is absolutely worthy!
  • Midnight Oil: Another band that I can think of that is worthy of the Hall of Fame and they are eligible too. Pete Garrett is a kick ass rock singer and this band is definitely worthy.
  • Ozzy (solo career): Black Sabbath is already in, what about Ozzy solo?
  • Pat Benatar: The singer known for songs like “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” and “Heartbreaker”. I fuckin’ LOVE Pat Benatar and it’s insane that she isn’t in yet.
  • Jethro Tull: Need I say more? Ian Anderson and the guys are definitely worthy!
  • Joe Satriani: Believe it or not, the Satch is eligible as he has been around for years. He’s definitely worthy as he had one helluva career!
  • Phish: The Grateful Dead are in the Hall of Fame but not Phish. Now there is something wrong with that!
  • Emerson, Lake and Palmer:  It’s also pretty insane that this band isn’t in yet ’cause their album, “Brain Salad Surgery” is a masterpiece and one of my favorite albums of all time.
  • Dire Straits: Huh??? Their hit video “Money for Nothing” which changed music video history is not good enough to get the band inducted? WOW!
  • Sammy Hagar (solo): Van Halen is in but Sammy’s legendary solo career isn’t. He had a very successful and legendary solo career. His video for “I Can’t Drive 55” also helped change the history of MTV.
  • Iron Maiden: One of the greatest metal bands of all time is definitely worthy. It’s a shame that the Hall of Fame doesn’t give much respect to metal.
  • Slayer: Enough said?
  • Motorhead: Yeah, I think they so deserve it.

I’m sure the list can keep going and going.

GOP Debate: When will FOX News realize that the more they attack Donald Trump, the more they are helping him?

I just figured out why Donald Trump is doing so good in the polls it’s because FOX News is trying their best to bring him down but it’s not working. All it’s doing it is helping Donald Trump and winning in the polls. Yeah, I did watch last night’s GOP debate and it was a joke honestly. Of course, Donald Trump was the best debater and I’ll be honest that I thought Ben Carson was awesome too. Ben Carson would be the 2nd best debater from last night. I was impressed with Ben Carson and starting to like him more but I’m still gonna support the Donald, though.

It’s no surprise to see that all FOX News was gonna do is try to make Donald Trump look bad throughout the entire debate and they also have a big hardon for Jeb Bush which is no surprise either. Why do FOX News love Jeb Bush so much? He’s just another RINO who does nothing but lie and say stupid things. Jeb Bush is an idiot and he acted like one last night and FOX News loves Jeb? WOW! It’s just proof that FOX News has been leaning left lately ’cause Jeb Bush is no conservative even though he claimed that he is last night. John Kasich is another one who claims he’s “conservative” but he admitted he supported the Supreme Court’s “gay marriage” ruling… another so called “conservative” that supports gay marriage. *yawn*

Most of the guys last night were idiots. Rand Paul was an idiot ’cause he did nothing but get into shouting matches with Donald Trump and Chris Christie. Gov. Christie is a moron as well.

Even though FOX News tried their best to ruin Donald Trump, the Donald steals the show like always. All FOX News is doing is getting the American people to like him even more, what part of that don’t they get?

After watching the debate last night, I’m starting to realize that FOX News maybe a garbage network after all. All mainstream media news is garbage and that includes FOX News. See? I’m not on one side at all. What’s sad last night is that FOX News didn’t show the rest of the candidates with respect while they go on a big love fest on Jeb Bush. Really?

Last thing America needs is another Bush in the White House. No more Clinton’s or Bush’s please. I really think Donald Trump is gonna win the nomination easily. FOX News should let the people pick the president, not them. FOX News is even biased too, not just the liberal media.

Video: Donald Trump arrives in Cleveland for GOP presidential debate tonight…

Donald Trump just landed! He just arrived in Cleveland for tonight’s first GOP presidential debate. The Donald is not alone as I can see he brought his whole family with him. Look like Donald Jr. and Eric are gonna be there along with their significant others and of course Ivanka steps off the plane too. Then off the plane comes The Donald and his wife, Melania. Look like the whole Trump gang are gonna be there to watch him debate and support him.

I’m looking forward to tonight’s debate and I think Trump is gonna win it, probably. Don’t be surprised. OG TRUMP! KICK SOME ASS!

Laurie Anderson says David Bowie thinks “Lulu” was Lou Reed’s best work and I agree…

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame had their ceremony over the weekend, just last Saturday. Laurie Anderson who is Lou Reed’s wife/widow gave a speech at the Hall of Fame in honor of her late husband who just got inducted.

While she spoke, she revealed that David Bowie told her that Lou Reed’s final album with Metallica, “Lulu” was his best work. Bowie said to Laurie, “Listen, this is Lou’s greatest work. This is his masterpiece. Just wait, it will be like Berlin. It will take everyone a while to catch up.”

When Bowie mentioned the album, “Berlin” that was Lou’s solo album released in 1973. When that album first came out, that album wasn’t received well by critics and fans either. Today, “Berlin” is considered a masterpiece.

Bowie is saying the same thing will happen to “Lulu” and I agree.

Music lovers today may have a hard time enjoying the Lou Reed and Metallica album, “Lulu” but give it time… 10 to 20 years from now, everyone will look at it as a masterpiece. Sometimes it does take 20 years to get people to realize how good of an album it is.

I’ve always thought, “Lulu” was a work of genius ever since I heard it. I couldn’t stop listening to the album. The music was really powerful and so were the lyrics.

When people shit on the album, they just don’t understand “art”. The music on “Lulu” wasn’t made to entertain people. They were meant to tell stories and create art, the way I look at it. I thought “Lulu” was a beautiful record. Despite the negative criticism of the album, it made no. 36 on the Billboard 200 so that’s pretty successful.

While I do love the album myself dearly, “Junior Dad” was the best song off of it, though. Listen to the track below.

Congrats to Lou on making the Hall of Fame finally and RIP. I really was bummed about his passing, he was my favorite artist for years.

Happy with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees with the exception of…

… Green Day making it instead of NIN. Really???? Look like NIN got snubbed this year when they had a pretty good chance in making it.

I’m happy with Lou Reed solo making it in ’cause I’m a huge Lou Reed fan. I’m happy that Joan Jett & The Blackhearts making it in ’cause I’ve always been a fan of Joan’s music. I still need to get Joan’s music for my Ipod/Itunes… I’ll probably just get a Greatest Hits album of hers soon. I’m happy that SRV finally made it in which is long overdue. I’m happy that Ringo Starr finally made it in. The other three Beatles: Paul, John and George made it in with their solo careers but Ringo is the last Beatle finally getting his chance.

I haven’t even heard of the other acts, though… I don’t know who Paul Butterfield, Bill Withers and the 5 Royals are, though.

See the new inductees here:

https://rockhall.com/inductees/

I feel that Green Day doesn’t deserve it. I used to be a fan of the band back in the early 90’s and early 2000’s but I don’t like them anymore, though. Green Day is a bit overrated.

There are still a large number of rock acts that are deserving of an induction, though. Hopefully Deep Purple will finally get their time next year ’cause they are long overdue as well. Other rock bands/artists who deserve an induction that haven’t yet… a top 10: 1) Deep Purple 2) Jethro Tull 3) Ted Nugent 4) Billy Idol 5) Iron Maiden 6) Megadeth 7) Slayer 8) The Scorpions 9) U.F.O. 10) Phish

Yeah, I named Phish but love ’em or hate ’em… they are eligible and they are successful/legendary. Phish deserves an induction.

You’ve probably never heard of the band U.F.O. but they are a legendary UK band that made guitarist, Michael Schenker famous. You probably know them by their songs: “Rock Bottom”, “Lights Out” and “Doctor, Doctor”.
