About Obama’s controversial Jedi Mind-Meld comment…

JediaMindMeld

I haven’t been following the President’s “Sequester” and budget cut stuff, ’cause all that is a load of crock, and I’m tired of Obama and his bullshit. He continues to prove himself that he is not qualified for the President’s job. During the press conference, not only that he pissed off the Republicans, he also pissed off the Star Wars and Star Trek community by saying this: ““Even though most people agree… I’m presenting a fair deal, the fact that they don’t take it means that I should somehow do a Jedi mind-meld with these folks and convince them to do what’s right,” Read more about it, here.

I know he didn’t mean it, and it was a mistake, since he wasn’t reading off a teleprompter but that just shows that he is crap at speaking. He maybe good at reading, but take the teleprompter away from him, he is horrible and you can’t understand a word he’s saying.

I think what he really meant was that he was referring to, “Vulcan Mind Meld“, somehow he thought it was a Star Wars thing. To those who aren’t into Star Trek that much, if you don’t know what a mind meld is, it’s a power that is used for Vulcan’s only. You know how when Spock goes up to somebody and puts his hand on someone’s face? That’s a mind meld. It’s a power to exchange people’s thoughts. I understand Obama’s point bringing Mind Meld into this, but bringing Jedi into it by mistake will just get him in trouble.

Plus, what he said about Republicans is even more offensive. He wants the Republicans to side with him and we shouldn’t have to. It should be our right.

Obama’s a piece of shit.

  1. Yeah, this was a congress thing, and since congress is split, with the GOP holding the House and the Dems holding the Senate, both sides need to work to get through this. There are going to be a lot of cuts to programs on both sides (GOP is losing on defense, and the Dems are losing on a lot of social services.) Education, Transportation, lots of departments are going to get hurt. Obama messing up on sci-fi trivia is the LEAST of our worries. Honestly, no one should give a flip about ticked off Star Wars/Trek geeks.

    1. Well, I happen to be a Star Wars/Star Trek geek. I’m more of a Star Trek geek than Star Wars, though.

      1. The Star Wars/Star Trek thing isn’t a big deal true, but the point you’re missing here, is that he pissed off the Republicans too in his statement, and that to me should be taken seriously.

      2. It’s also pissing me off how everyone would defend Obama on everything, though. Is there one thing he does or says that people don’t like? Seriously, they can’t think of one thing? Everyone have to kiss his ass on everything? Really? *rolls eyes*

      3. I mean, I point out all the bad things he has done and said in this blog over the years, and you guys here would defend him on everything. Really, he’s not the hero president as you would like to think he is. And he is a fucking dictator. Sorry, my opinion. I’m not stopping the Obama hate. Can’t do it.

  2. Who said I was sticking up for Obama? I wasn’t. I was pointing out that your post was almost entirely hung up on the Star Wars/Trek thing. He has nothing to do with the sequester, that’s all on Congress, that is weighted equally to both parties.

I know you don’t like Obama, but perpetuating silly stuff about how he flubbed a sci-fi phrase isn’t showing that you are trying to put forth legitimate gripes about him (and there are legit gripes.) It just makes you petty. You’re like Fox News, looking for any little dig and not posting anything of substance. If you looked into this sequester thing, you’d see what exactly it’s about and while you might have something to say, it wouldn’t give you an Obama bash opportunity. Sorry, I call them like I see them.

    1. If Obama wants to be taken seriously then he should have gotten his facts straight about the “mind meld” thing. All his mistake proved that he sucks at speaking without the teleprompter. That’s the whole point I’m trying to make on this topic. He’s not the good speaker like everyone wants him to believe. If you’re going to make an example of a fictional franchise with your speeches, at least get your facts straight. If you make a mistake, you’re bound to piss a lot of people off. This blog post is not just about the Star Wars/Star Trek thing, it’s how about Obama does his public speeches. To be a good president, it requires good speaking skills and he doesn’t have that when not with the teleprompter. Back in the early 1800’s, there was no such technology then, so the earlier presidents had to use their mind and improvise their speeches.

      1. On top of that rd, you’re full of shit when you say that this post is mostly about Star Wars/Star Trek. That’s a huge lie, right there.I read this post a couple of times, and I only talked about it very little. I was just explaining to people what a Vulcan Mind Meld is, so people would understand, Obama’s mistake. I think you know that. You’re just being a stupid ass troll, trying to mock me like all the others.
