NSA and US government spying… finally declared unconstitutional!!! HELL YES!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!!

Well, well, well, look at what we have here. After Edward Snowden exposed the government that the NSA has been spying millions of Americans, it was debatable whether or not Edward Snowden was right/wrong or the NSA was right/wrong. The government defended themselves and claimed that Edward Snowden was wrong and the NSA was right. Turns out that it’s now the other way around. Edward was right all along and the Government was wrong!

The judge said that the NSA and US government weren’t doing this to fight terrorism either.

More on the story, here.

This should be GOOD enough for the articles of impeachment papers to be handed in. Richard Nixon lied about spying/wiretapping but he got in deep trouble for it. Should President Obama get in trouble for this too? Yes. Absolutely… he should be held accountable.

I always knew what the government was doing was illegal. It was no surprise to me and people kept defending Obama and the government making claims they had every right to do it.

Get with it… Obama’s a liar and he was just exposed in another HUGE lie. You see? That’s all the man ever does. Pathological liar. I don’t see how you can defend him over this.

Thanks Edward!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the greatest news I’ve heard all year long!!!!

  1. Not quite. The judge didn’t actually rule it unconstitutional. And then there is this:

“15 judges on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court have examined Section 215 of the USA Patriot Act, the provision of law under which the data collection takes place, without finding constitutional problems. There’s a disconnect between the 15 judges on the FISA court who seem to think it’s a no-brainer that Section 215 is constitutional, and Judge Leon, who seems to think otherwise.”

    1. Figure someone would come in here and act like Obama did nothing wrong. Too PREDICTABLE!!! He lied about the NSA doing this to fight terrorism and there was no evidence of that. What part of that don’t you understand?

      Kev

      1. I never said Obama did nothing wrong. What is predictable is YOU pinning everything on Obama. And wrongly implying everyone that disagrees with you, or posts facts proving you wrong are Obama defenders.

You are missing the point here. The judge is speaking/ruling with respect to the NSA’s actions. Not anything Obama did. The NSA was acting under rules and regulations set forth by the Bush Administration.

Obama’s lies or defense of the program have no relevancy here. It was neither the point nor the focus of the article.

        You’re chasing ghosts here.

      2. If you honestly think Obama had no control of the NSA spying people, then you’re delusional. The NSA have to go through the government in order to do stuff like this like getting the President’s approval and stuff, I would believe. The Patriot Act has nothing to do with this and doesn’t allow them to do it either.

        Kev

      3. Show me where I ever said that. That is not what the article is about, or the even the court case. This IS the Patriot Act that is in play here. It is what gave the NSA authorization to go after telecom and other records. THAT is what this judge is trying to declare unconstitutional here.

There are a lot of things that go on and can happen without Presidential approval or knowledge (plausible deniability, insulation from the fallout) Many of the organizations have autonomy to act on their own. or they can just go rogue.

Either way, this is purely a Patriot Act issue. If it is declared unconstitutional, the Patriot Act will have to be modified.

      4. The judge didn’t say anything about the Patriot Act being a part of this. The Patriot Act wasn’t even looked into. Quit pretending that the government had every right to do what they do. The US government and the White House aren’t above the law on everything.

        Kev

      5. Obama wasn’t mentioned either. And I’m not pretending it’s OK. In fact, I think it is dead wrong for any government to spy on it’s own people.

What the judge said, is that he believes what the NSA is doing is unconstitutional. I agree with that. The point I am trying to make here, is that the actions of the NSA are actions granted to them under the Patriot Act. This shouldn’t be that hard to follow. The Patriot Act says the NSA can do what they are doing. If the judge is right, and the actions of the NSA are declared unconstitutional, then that is a ruling against the Patriot Act. Do you get it yet?

  2. And just to clarify, I’m not defending Obama here. I want him gone just as much as you do, but pinning this on him won’t stick. The NSA is acting under provisions in the Patriot Act (Bush). Data collection from Verizon started in 2002. From AT&T in 2003. Others have come forward about this prior to Snowden, and still nothing was done about it.

Obama is just a puppet. He is not in control of anything.

  3. I’d post this in the other post, but you closed comments. If you are going to talk shit about someone, at least have the courtesy to give them a chance to respond. I’m tired of your bullshit. Calling me liberal? You have no clue. It’s like Bone said, your hatred is so strong that you want to blame everything on him. That’s not always the case. I am not defending Obama. I am only pointing out that some of the things you are stating, the responsibility and blame belongs to those who came before him. That does not not mean that he is innocent. It does not mean that he is not complicit. I am only pointing out the fact that OTHERS have set this ball in motion. That OTHERS have paved the way for this to happen. And yes, these unconstitutional practices are still being carried out under the Obama administration, but it was not Obama that created these policies.

I’ve been a registered voter for 30 years. I’ve only ever voted Republican and Conservative. I’ve volunteered on Republican and Conservative campaigns, as well as some right leaning independents. I volunteer at voter registration drives. and I have driven people to polls to vote.

Further, you can’t just declare yourself “winner” just because it’s your blog. Wrong is wrong, and to do so just makes you look like a fool.

I’d like to challenge you to come to the Sean Hannity forums. That will clear up any misconceptions you might have about my politics. Or most likely, you’ll just think everyone there is liberal too.

So far, none of the things that you said were going to happen have happened. Why do you think that is? Obama is one of the worst Presidents we have ever had, but fact of the matter is, he hasn’t done anything impeachable. This is NOT a defense of him. It’s just merely stating the truth. I believe you have valid reasons for hating him, but you have let your hatred blind you.

And how come you don’t go after him for Obamacare? If he has done anything unconstitutional, that has to be the biggest one. That one is directly attributable to him and him alone. He rammed it through, forcing it on all of us. The Government shutdowns are on him and him alone. Obama easily could have prevented them, yet he used bully tactics and overstepped greatly in letting it happen. How come you are so silent o that issue?

    1. You are crazy and insane if you think he has done nothing impeachable. Quit your lying and quit trying to make him look good.

I don’t focus on Obamacare ’cause I don’t care about it. Not important. I agree Obamacare is a trainwreck but this stuff doesn’t deserve the hype in the media and it’s all a media frenzy to distract us from other things. I’m more worried about our fellow Americans getting murdered by our own President for no reason than some stupid health law.

      Kev

  4. This is where you are wrong. Obamacare is unconstitutional at best. Taking over the insurance industry. Forcing citizens to buy things they don’t want…

How can you NOT care about it? It’s practices like this that are going to lead to further shredding of the Constitution.

Obamacare is not the distraction. All the BS conspiracies about everything else are the distractions so that things like this get passed.

I know you still believe in the birth certificate conspiracy, but because sooooo many people were focused on that, Obama was able to ram obamacare through, take over the auto industry, consolidate banking and bring it further under government control, pass ridiculous economy and free enterprise killing stimulus bills…

I am not trying to make Obama look good at all. But by chasing all these other issues, you are letting him get away with all the BS he is getting away with.

Benghazi. Fast & Furious. The IRS scandals. The Birth Certificate. None of that will bring Obama down. None of it will be tied to Obama. He simply is not responsible. And as long as everyone is distracted by those issue, the real people behind it will continue on with business as usual, and Obama will take this Country further and further into Socialism. Wake up. Get out there and deal with real issues. Start paying attention to laws and policies being put into place.

    1. You’re an ignorant piece of shit and a piece of work. I know Obamacare is unconstitutional.

“Benghazi. Fast & Furious. The IRS scandals. The Birth Certificate. None of that will bring Obama down.”

Yes, that stuff WILL bring Obama down. Whenever he’s finally exposed for that stuff, it’ll happen. He’s not gonna get away with that stuff. Doesn’t matter how long it takes to investigate him. You can’t get away with anything bad.

You’re just starting to show more signs that you’re a liberal dude. I refuse to support that liberal Hannity. Since you’re a fan, I really think you’re a closet liberal and Obama supporter.

      Kev

      1. Don’t mean to call names and swear but seriously you guys really drive me crazy. The White House gave the stand down order on Benghazi and Obama took off to Las Vegas right after the attacks happened so how can we NOT put the blame on him for the attacks? Obama was no where to be found during the 7 hours the attacks were happening either. Try to explain that. I bet you can’t.

        Kev
