Planning on buying a new acoustic guitar very soon..

I need a new acoustic guitar for myself. I’m planning on buying just a regular acoustic. Not another acoustic/electric ’cause I already have one of those. I want to get a regular acoustic without all the built-in electronics. What guitar brand of acoustic will I get? I don’t know and I don’t care because I’m not really picky on guitar brands like: Gibson, Takamine, Fender, Epiphone, Taylor, etc. I’m not picky with guitar brands ’cause all I want is a good sound and a good fit. I’ll be looking for an acoustic guitar that’s around the $250 – $300 price range, nothing too expensive.

I did have an acoustic guitar in this room but the one I had wasn’t mine and this person wanted it back so I’m gonna have to buy a new one for myself.

Instead of ordering the guitar online like I used to, I think it’s better to buy guitars at guitar shops. I think I’m gonna buy guitars that way instead of online. That’s what a lot of guitarists around here do. They mostly buy guitars at guitar shops instead of online that way they can try the guitar and if they like ’em, they can take them right home right away without waiting a while for delivery. Yep, buying guitars at guitar shops is definitely better. So when I save up enough cash, I’ll hit Parkway Music in Clifton Park ’cause they have a very large selection of acoustic guitars there.

So whenever I buy a new acoustic guitar, I’ll post photos of it and videos of me playing it. It’s gonna take a few months. I wanna a new acoustic guitar. Just for something different, ya know? A new sound and new feel.

Once I buy this new guitar, I’ll start recording again ’cause I think I finally wanna get that internet album in the works for 2016.

If I were to form a rock band someday…

I still have this dream of forming a rock band someday. It’s gonna happen someday, I’m just not quite ready to do that yet. Don’t wanna get too ahead of myself and don’t wanna rush things. I do wanna form a band of my own though.

What would my band be like if I ever get one? I have a vision of us playing mostly guitar driven rock n’ roll with lots of improvised jams. I would want us to play LOUD and tight too. After all those acoustic songs I’ve written over the years, I’m sure you can already vision in your head of what my songs would sound like in a full band ’cause that’s how I always hear my songs.

If I form a band, I can see us becoming something special very quickly.

If I were to make a full band rock album someday, where would I record it? I won’t record a full band album at my home studio setup ’cause my home studio setup was meant for acoustic demos. I’ll probably record the full band album using a local studio somewhere. I’ve been looking at Don Fury studios in Troy ’cause I’ve been looking into his work for a long while so I’ll probably record with him… the legendary producer who made records for lots of famous punk & hardcore bands. I don’t play punk or hardcore music but a lot of my stuff will sound like that a little bit.

I believe I can play good rock n’ roll in a full band which has always been a dream of mine. When I start looking for members though, I’m not gonna be looking at random musicians ’cause I’m gonna take talent very seriously. I want the right style and the right fit. This musician must be good at improvisation ’cause there’s gonna be a lot of that. A lot of spontaneous playing all over.

I’ll get myself a band soon, just waiting for the right time for it to happen. I kind of wanna be rockin’ out at the clubs like everyone else is doing. I’ll admit, all that looks like fun and someday I’ll be a part of it all.

My guitar collection…

So far I have a total of four guitars.

From left to right: Ibanez Artcore Hollow Body electric, Ibanez acoustic/electric, Art Lutherie acoustic guitar and a Hondo II electric.

I would like to start a guitar collection and build it up some. I would like to get a few more guitars.

Someday I would like to get a solid body electric guitar with a whammy bar.

I also wanna someday get a 12 string acoustic guitar as well. I’ve always wanted to write songs with a 12 string acoustic and one of these days I will.

Hope all of ya are having a great Christmas so far!

The blog’s been kind of slow this weekend ’cause as you all know the Holidays are here and it’s when things get a little busy.

Here’s a few gifts I got this year.

Yep, so I’ve been wanting the Jimmy Page photobook for a pretty long while and finally got it. I’ve already started looking through it and the photos are pretty amazing stuff.

As you can see in the photo above, I finally got a pop filter for my microphone. Now I finally got a pop filter, I’ll start recording vocals again this year. I really needed a pop filter so I can record clean vocals without any P’s or B’s or breathing sounds.

Hope y’all are having a good Christmas so far.

There’s no such term as “accidental overdose” it was made up by the mainstream media, idiots…

“Accidental overdose” is not an actual term. It was totally made up by the mainstream media and the sad part is that most people take it seriously. So just because the media says it then it must be true, huh? (sarcasm)

I repeat there is no such thing as accidental overdose. They not only called the Scott Weiland death, “accidental overdose”… they called Heath Ledger that too. They only call it “accidental overdose” when a famous person dies. The fake term “accidental overdose” is just a lame ass excuse used by the media to describe a death of a famous person who died of drugs that they took on “purpose”. It doesn’t make sense to call an overdose “accidental”. It’s just silly. Foolish if you think about it. If you take drugs, you are purposefully doing that to yourself. If you die of it, then it’s your fault. Drugs don’t find their way into human bodies accidentally. There’s nothing “accidental” about it.

The term “accidental overdose” was used so this famous person who died of drugs wouldn’t get so much flak for it from the public and I’m pretty sure the media lied about it being “accidental”. Why did they choose the words “accidental overdose”? To avoid lawsuit from family members? Maybe that’s a part of it. Maybe the family wanted it that way as well?

Why not be realistic about it and call it just an “overdose” ’cause that’s what it really was technically.

That term “accidental overdose” first came up when Heath Ledger died. There is a such a thing as “accidental death” but it’s not the same thing as “accidental overdose”. I do know that the term “accidental overdose” means that he never intended to commit suicide but whether it’s an accident or not, it’s a suicide no matter what you think of it. If you take drugs, you did that to yourself.

When a famous person dies and they call it “accidental overdose”, it’s just the media’s sneaky way of never admitting that this person did it to themselves. They can’t accept the fact that they did it to themselves. They can’t take the truth and it is bothering them. So the media calls it “accidental overdose” so they don’t lose their viewers and their audience.

Just a few things to think about for a few minutes.

Here’s to all those who are not afraid to post controversial shit!

12375960_1647095842210137_3408712196734040171_n

As you can tell by now, I’m not afraid to post controversial stuff. I’m not afraid to speak my mind and not afraid to tell the truth no matter the consequences. That’s how I’ve always been.

As a matter of fact, I can never tell if the stuff I post is controversial. I just try to keep my stuff as realistic as possible. I try not to be political correct on things at all. I just post common sense and post the truth.  I view my stuff that I post as positive and informative. I never look at it as “controversial”. If people wanna call me a “controversial” and “outspoken” person then I must be doing something right.

In this day and age, if you post controversial stuff… you are immediately labeled as a bad person. It’s quite pathetic, ya know? People who are brave enough to post things that no one else would should be given all the credit and kudos but instead they get treated as if they’re bad guys or “trolls”.

I’ve been dealing with this shit for years.

Maybe this is part of why I have so many wonderful supporters of mine ’cause they admire the fact that I’m not afraid to speak my mind no matter what happens.

I know there are others who are not afraid to post “controversial” stuff and get their truth out there so kudos to them.

When they say that the “truth is the new hate speech” is really true if you think about it. It really is crazy how people get offended at everything. I’m not afraid to put myself in hot water and get the truth out. I’m not afraid to tell the truth even if it will get me in trouble.

I’m just one of those guys that if I have something on my mind, it’s gonna get said ’cause I don’t hide my honest feelings on things like a lot of people do.

I have grown an audience of both supporters & haters. To the haters that just follow me will never admit that they enjoy what I write online. That’s why they continue to read and follow me ’cause they’re addicted to what I do.

Honest people are always looked at as “controversial” and “outspoken”. It shouldn’t be this way but it is what it is ’cause people are weird and crazy, ya know?

I just keep things real and that’s all I’m about, yo.

It’s official, I’m totally ditching youtube!!!

When I uploaded my latest video, “Top 15 Best Albums of 2015”, I uploaded it to both facebook and youtube at the same time so I can test to see which one has got the most views. Apparently, the video on facebook has gotten more views while my video didn’t get any in youtube.

I really believe that people has lost interest in youtube. I’ve lost interest in youtube myself and I don’t think I will upload videos to youtube anymore. From now on, all of my upcoming video releases will be facebook exclusive.

I was very proud of how my latest video came out. It turned out really good and professional looking. Yeah, I’m trying my best to make my videoblogs as professional as possible. I’m getting there! I enjoy making videoblogs and trying to do that more.

Thinking about buying a ukulele… always wanted to learn how to play one…

I think I wanna buy a ukulele instrument soon. I’ve always been interested in that sound. It’s a totally different sound than the acoustic and I believe I can make some badass music with that thing.

The ukulele doesn’t look that hard to play. It’s kind of similar to the guitar except the strings are tuned differently. Once you learn the tuning of the ukulele you can figure out the basic chords with theory knowledge.

http://www.sweetwater.com/c1053–Ukuleles

I would like to get a ukulele so I can write songs with. Kind of would like to make a ukulele demo album ’cause I dig that sound.

I probably won’t buy an expensive ukulele though. I’ll probably get one around $50.

If you already know how to play the guitar, you should be good enough to play the ukulele a little bit.

Maybe I’ll buy one next year.

A little change in my Top Music Albums of 2015 list…

Each year, I usually do a top 10 list of my favorite music albums. This year is gonna be something a little different. For this year’s Best Music albums list, there will be a top 15 instead of 10. That way I can put more on there ’cause I listened to quite a bit of new albums this year and really liked a lot of them.

I’ll have the Top 15 Best Music albums up soon. It’s gonna be a good list this year, I think. This list will have more diversity in genres I think. It will include metal, rock, pop and even rap/hip hop too. It’s gonna be an exciting list.

As for the Top 15 Best Movies list, I’m gonna wait a while longer on that one. Once I see the “The Force Awakens” and some movie rentals, I’ll get to work on that one. The movies list probably won’t come ’til the end of this month or the beginning of Jan., I’ll have to see. What will be my no. 1 choice for Best film this year? For right now, I’m leaning toward “Creed” the new Rocky movie but that opinion could change once I see “The Force Awakens”, though.

I’ll do both of these lists in upcoming videoblogs.

How to get a stronger singing voice if you wanna become a better singer…

If you wanna improve your singing voice and get better, there are ways to do it.

Here’s a little step by step on how:

  • Vocal coach: I don’t work with a vocal coach ’cause I don’t know any around my area so I just teach myself. I would like to work with a vocal coach though so I can learn how to hit the high notes and get an even stronger head voice.
  • Vocal exercises: If you can’t find a vocal coach or can’t afford one, there’s all kinds of instructional CD’s/DVD’s out there that teach you how to sing with vocal exercises on them. Those things really work and they help. I work with the old-school Metal Method’s “Vocal Power” by Jim Gillette. That thing really helped me.
  • Singing to your favorite songs and artists: Listen to your favorite songs that you’ve been inspired by and try to sing the way they do. I sing along to my favorite songs all the time and that also helped me greatly. It helps you master cover songs. Singing karaoke is a great practice tool admittedly. Listening to your favorite singers is a pretty important tool.
  • Taking good care of your throat: To learn how to sing good, you gotta take care of your throat. They say drink warm liquids like warm water, hot tea, etc. They also say that eating honey helps make your throat stronger. I’ve never taken honey while singing but I think I will from this point on by consuming a spoonful of honey daily. Next time I hit the grocery store, I’ll get myself a thing of honey. A lot of singers say that honey is good for your throat. You also don’t wanna drink any alcohol, don’t smoke and don’t do drugs ’cause that stuff will ruin your singing voice. It’s part of why I try to stay away from alcohol.
  • Your throat needs lots of resting: You don’t wanna over sing too much so your throat needs plenty of resting. Too much singing, you will ruin what you had and you could lose your voice easily. So practice singing for a long while and then stop. Your voice will improve after a lot of resting.
  • Singing better takes time and patience: You will not become a great singer overnight. It takes a lot of time, patience and dedication. As you can tell by now, I’ve taken singing a lot more seriously than ever before. I wanna get good and prove to people I have what it takes to be an actual singer. Patience is all it takes.

That’s it. Anybody can become a better singer. It doesn’t matter the age and doesn’t matter the level of talent you’re at.
