Those who think Clint Eastwood will be reprising his legendary action hero character Dirty Harry, think again. Dirty Harry Eastwood himself says “NO” to it, when asked about it at Cannes when he was at the “Changeling” premiere. So don’t expect Dirty Harry to return to the big screen anytime soon.

I think Eastwood is lying, trying to keep surprises underwraps. Dirty Harry will come back, trust me.

At this year’s Cannes Festival it has been announced that Clint Eastwood will debut his film “The Changeling” at the film festival, the film stars Angelina Jolie which is about a mother who has a kidnapped son and hopes he gets rescued. Woody Allen will also debut his film “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” that stars Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem which is about a painter that has a romantic affair with two lesbian women, this film is supposed to have a long steamy lesbian seen, can you imagine the Cannes Film Festival audience look on their face when they see that scene?
Steven Spielberg as announced in the past will debut “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” there as well. These films will hit Cannes before they even hit theaters.
The festival runs from May 14 – 25.

I’ll probably wait for DVD release for Eastwood’s “Changeling”, I will do the same for Woody Allen’s film.
I’m definitely seeing Indy 4 in theater though. This year’s Cannes festival sounds cool.

In the Variety article I posted about Clint Eastwood’s movie “Gran Torino” that he will direct and star the lead in, notice how the article said the plot and story is under wraps, which means they are keeping everything a secret. Which means it could be a huge surprise.
Does this mean that Eastwood is bringing back his iconic character Dirty Harry to the big screen for one last time?
A Gran Torino is a car made back in the 70’s, similar to the ones that Dirty Harry drove in those movies…

Think Clint Eastwood had quit acting in leading roles of film yet? Think again!!! Eastwood is about ready to make his return to star in the lead and direct both at the same time. The last film Eastwood directed and played at the same time was the drama film “Million Dollar Baby” starring Hillary Swank, but Eastwood was just a co-star in the film, not the lead. Eastwood’s next film is titled “Gran Torino”, which he will star the lead throughout the entire film and direct.
Eastwood just completed filming “The Changeling” starring Angelina Jolie, Eastwood is not in that film at all, he just directed it.

Glad Eastwood is returning back to leading roles finally. He is a god at both directing and “acting”. I guess he only cast himself in his own movies only when he’s needed for the right character in the script.
