Report: Dolph Lundgren in talks to have some type of role in “Conan”, whether it’ll be a cameo, supporting role or the lead…

Like I said, Dolph being in Stallone’s, “The Expendables” will give him a lot of opportunities, and it’s already happening for Dolph. Dolph announced that he is in talks with the producers of Conan, saying that he may get some type of role. He refuses to say which role he will be getting. Whether it will be a tiny cameo, or a supporting role, or even the lead. Dolph can even get signed on as Conan, the main character himself. It’s too early to say.

Dolph wouldn’t be a bad Conan, but I think this movie is aimed for a younger Conan. I’d say make Dolph as the main villain in the new “Conan”.

I’m happy for Dolph that his career is already getting good. After “The Expendables” is released, his straight to DVD nightmare will finally be over for him. It’s going to be great to see Dolph back on the big screen and not on the small screen. 🙂

Arnold still has the Conan sword, where is it?

Arnold revealed on his official Twitter page that he still has the Conan sword from the two Conan movies he starred in. Where does Arnold keep it? He let it on display right in his governor’s office.

Report: “Conan” remake director found…Brett Ratner out…Marcus Nispel IN!!!!!

Nu Image/Millenium has found their director for the “Conan” remake. I say, this is a much much better choice than Brett Ratner!

Marcus Nispel has been signed to direct the “Conan” reboot. To those who don’t know who Marcus Nispel is, he did both “Texas Chainsaw” and “Friday the 13th” remakes.

The first “Conan” movie is not really a horror movie, but there are some pretty creepy things in the film that Marcus could make a fantasy adventure film more horror like. I’m sure Marcus will stay true to the “Conan” series, and I’m so glad Brett Ratner is not on. Whew! Decent choice!!!

Who should take over the role of “Conan” the leading character, to replace Arnold?

My vote is Triple H (Paul Levesque) of the WWE. On a Wrestlemania event a few years back, Triple H, came down the ramp with a Conan the Barbarian costume on, and I’m like, “He’s the next Conan for the movie!!!”

And who should play Conan’s main villain, Thulsa Doom, that was originally played by James Earl Jones?

My vote on that one would be either Michael Clarke Duncan or Terry Crews.

Report: Brett Ratner getting close to directing “Conan”…but will be rated R…

Director Brett Ratner is in final negotiations to direct the first “Conan” re-boot. Look like he will be on board to direct. It will be released and co-produced by Nu Image/Millenium and Lionsgate studios. While Brett Ratner is still on board to direct “Beverly Hills Cop 4”, he is likely to make both of these films but he will work on “Beverly Hills Cop 4” first. Ratner hopes to release “Conan” sometime in 2010.

The story of the first “Conan” reboot will start off how the original went, movie opens in a battlefield where Conan is born, will probably go from there. Of course, Thulsa Doom, the main villain will probably be written in the script.

While Ratner is mostly known for doing family friendly PG-13 flicks this will be a hard R rating.

While I’m not crazy about the idea of Ratner directing, I’m glad it’s going to be rated R though. I simply can not see a family friendly Conan movie. It’s just not the way Conan is. The Conan comics had always been aimed toward the adult readers.

Hope Ratner doesn’t screw this one.

I’m sure Arnold would be proud that a reboot is happening without him, seriously. The Ah-nuld is probably thrilled the reboot is happening and I’m sure he wants this to happen. Although we all know that Arnold will not be playing Conan, maybe Arnold will help Ratner on how to make a good Conan flick.

Hope they pick a good actor for Conan too.

Report: Lionsgate to make Conan, and new writers too…

Lionsgate studios has got the go ahead to make the “Conan” movie. New writers have been hired to write the script. Screenwriters Dirk Blackman and Howard McCain have been hired to pen the film. The same writers also have another new fantasy epic adventure titled “Amazon” which Scarlett Johansson is attached to star the leading role in as a sword fighting female warrior. Both of these films will be made by Lionsgate studios. No directors have been hired yet for either film but they are looking.

Lionsgate is planning to get the “Conan” film into production as soon as possible. Just like the Batman series is starting over again with a clean slate, Lionsgate plan to do the same with the Conan franchise. The original Conan movies, “Conan The Barbarian” and “Conan The Destroyer” starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as the hero but hollywood feels the films can go on without him.

Lets hope they pick a good actor for Conan. And lets hope they do it good.

Who should be the director of this film?

I’d say give it to Ridley Scott after seeing what he did to “Legend” and “Gladiator”, I think he would make a very good Conan movie.
