BREAKING NEWS: Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band confirms they will continue without Clarence Clemons, new album and tour on the way…

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band have finally responded on their future plans in their music career. They have confirmed that the band will continue without Clarence Clemons, their sax player who passed away not too long ago. Springsteen himself confirmed on his official website that the E Street Band will release a new album and will go on a full fledged tour.

More on the story, here.

You ask, why would they continue without Clarence? My guess, is that they are continuing on is because that is what Clarence would have wanted. They are doing this for Clarence I bet. Also, how much do you want to bet that their next album is going to be dedicated to Clarence? Don’t be surprised if almost every song on their next album will be about him.

While I’m sure, the E Street Band already replaced a sax player, no other sax player will top Clarence’s recognizable sound, that’s for sure.

I thought the E Street Band’s last album, “Workin’ On a Dream”, was one of their best new albums in a long time. Their song, “Outlaw Pete”, is the best song off that album.

Happy 62nd Birthday, Mr. Bruce Springsteen!!!

While Bruce Springsteen is celebrating his 62nd birthday today, there are heavy rumors online that the E Street Band maybe calling it quits for good. I bet the reason is, they feel they can’t go on without Clarence Clemons, their most recognizable member of the E Street Band. I agree, it isn’t the E Street Band without Clarence, sad but true. Bruce and the rest of the band plan to get together into a meeting to announce the band’s future. I have a feeling that Bruce and the E Street Band maybe hanging it up for good.

This still doesn’t mean that Bruce is retiring from music though, just the E Street Band. I’m sure Bruce will continue to release albums without the band. We’ll have to wait and see.

Bruce is the man. I’ve always loved his music too. I even like his newer stuff as well.

Here are a few of my favorite songs of his below…

Report: Springsteen promises he won’t let Superbowl audience down during halftime, he wants to party!!!

Look like Springsteen and the E Street Band will be playing their greatest hits at the Superbowl halftime after all. Springsteen revealed that he promises a good time for the audience at the game. Him and the band only get to play a 12 minute set, which will only fit about 3 or 4 songs. Of course, Springsteen refuses to say what songs him and the band will perform, he wants them to be a surprise.

I’m betting your money that he will definitely play a few songs off “Born In the U.S.A.”, he’ll play the title track, “Glory Days” and maybe “Dancing In the Dark” too.

Rumours swirling the web, that Springsteen may pull up Courtney Cox from the Superbowl audience for him to dance with during “Dancing in the Dark”. Could this actually happen? Courtney Cox from “Friends” TV show will be at the Superbowl to dance with the boss on stage? We’ll have to wait and find out!

On a side note, Max Weinberg and Labamba Rosenberg will be performing in the band as well, as they are taking time off from the Conan O’ Brien show to rehearse for the Superbowl gig with Springsteen. Weinberg has been a member of the E Street band for many years.

I’m looking forward to the Superbowl this Sunday. I’m no NFL fan but I do watch the Superbowl every year. I’m also looking forward to seeing how Jennifer Hudson is going to sing the “National Anthem”, that’ll be interesting to see too.
