Gavin Degraw was released from the hospital today after being the victim of a brutal assault by three men. He was also hit by a taxi cab. The singer/songwriter suffered a concussion, broken nose, and numerous, cuts and bruises. Gavin had to cancel the rest of the tour so he can rest and heal up.

I hope the attackers do the right thing and turn themselves in. So sad. Gavin’s going to have to live with this for the rest of his life. I wish him well, I really do.

Singer/songwriter Gavin Degraw was rushed to a hospital after he was brutally beaten in the streets of NYC late on a Sunday night. Gavin lives in NYC and he’s currently on tour with Maroon 5 with his next show scheduled to be at SPAC in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. this coming Tuesday. Nobody knows how badly he was beaten or why they attacked him.

No matter what you all think of the guy or his music, he’s still a human being. He’s an innocent man who didn’t deserve this. My bet that he was mugged. Maybe the attackers were trying to take his money or whatever valuables he has on him.
Never walk the streets of major cities alone, folks. Especially late at night where there’s a good chance, you’re gonna get mugged.
It’s sad what’s happening with celebrities lately. A lot of celebrities are getting beatings, they even get stalkers by obsessed fans, etc. I’ve been saying for a long time now in this blog, that fame is a dangerous world. It’s true if you think about it.
