I didn’t watch all of RAW last night, just the final half of it, but when I switched the TV to RAW, I was seeing Michael Cole announcing that Jerry “The King” Lawler collapsed from the announcer chair to the floor while commentating during a wrestling match. Michael Cole claimed it wasn’t part of a storyline that it’s a real life situation, ’cause it’s hard to believe what you see on WWE TV these days. Turns out that Jerry Lawler suffering heart attack on the RAW show last night in Montreal was real.
I hope Jerry pulls through and survives. If he dies, this would be a tragic loss in the wrestling community. He has always been important to us. He’s a true wrestling legend, indeed. While most wrestling legends retired and moved on, Jerry, never did, he kept working. He may have to retire now after this though, if he survives.
Lawler was in the middle of an on TV feud with CM Punk too.
Get well soon, Jerry. I’m praying for him and you should too.
While it is upsetting about Jerry, I was even more disappointed with the terrible RAW crowd last night. There was NOT one chant for Jerry Lawler last night. Instead, those fuckin’ Canadians chanted for Bret Hart all night. If last night’s RAW was in the United States, I’m pretty sure we’ll all be chanting for Jerry, but what do you expect in Canada?
