Woah! Scorsese and Robby D back together again! This is even better than Pacino and Deniro reteaming in “Righteous Kill”!!!!!

Although the movie hasn’t even be made yet, I just know Scorsese will make “Paint Houses” a great one. Scorsese is one of the best film makers in Hollywood!

I’m glad Scorsese is finally making a fictional film that is not a music documentary!

Film Review: Righteous Kill

Starring: Al Pacino, Robert Deniro, Brian Dennehy, 50 Cent, Carla Gugino, John Leguizamo

Directed by: Jon Avnet

I just got back home from seeing the movie “Righteous Kill” the new film that stars Robert Deniro and Al Pacino, another re-teaming of the two biggest stars in Hollywood. The last film they starred in together was “Heat” released back in 1995.

In this film, Robert Deniro plays Turk, and Al Pacino plays Rooster, both New York City Detectives and police officers. Brian Dennehy plays Lt. Hingis, the boss of the two detectives. The film starts off with a murder of a young girl that just got raped and murdered. The two detectives, Turk and Rooster believe they solved the case years ago.

Whenever someone committs a crime, Turk and Rooster hunt the criminals down, the court lets them all walk which the serial killer murders all the criminals that got away with their crime. Deniro’s character Turk has been having an affair with Karen Corelli played by the sexy Carla Cugino, they weren’t lovers, they were just friends and intimate with each other. Karen is a sexual woman who sleeps around with other police officers as well.

The NYPD department later began to realize that the serial killer could possibly be a police officer because it was the cop’s way of getting rid of criminals for good. All the blame was pointed at Turk (Deniro), they tried to make Deniro look like a killer throughout the entire film but they finally realize it wasn’t him and there is a different serial killer cop suspect on the loose. Each time the criminals were murdered by the cop serial killer, he would leave a poem trying to frame Deniro’s character for the crimes.

Who is the serial killer in the film? You’ll have to see it yourself to find out.

As far as my thoughts on the movie goes, the film wasn’t as bad as the internet made it out to be. I actually liked it. It was a decent thriller. Although it was pretty easy to figure out who the real killer in the film was, I knew who it was all along. But hey, this is Robby D and Al Pacino playing in a film together again, any film with them in it is good. Their acting was great as usual. I just wish the script could have been written a little better.

It was also great to see Brian Dennehy play in a film again, he’s looking real good too. After seeing this movie, goes to show that Dennehy still has what it takes to play Will Teasle in a Rambo film again ’cause Dennehy’s character in “Righteous Kill” immediately reminded me of Will Teasle. So Sly, if you decide to do another Rambo, please bring Will Teasle back!

They had a great actress choice to play alongside Robby D and Al, Carla Gugino is a smoking hot woman.

Other than that, “Righteous Kill” wasn’t that bad of a film, I just like it for Robby D and Al, the story was interesting although it could have been written better as I said before.

Score for “Righteous Kill” = *** (3 stars as in “good”)

BREAKING NEWS: Robert Deniro pulls out of “Edge of Darkness” film that stars Mel Gibson in the leading role…

Robert Deniro who was recently casted as one of the leading stars for the “Edge of Darkness” film that stars Mel Gibson, pulled out of the film and quit. Shooting of the movie began Aug. 18th, Robert Deniro showed up on set the day he was scheduled to work, he just walked off before the film crew got a chance to film him.

One of Robert Deniro’s spokesman said “Sometimes things don’t work out, it’s called creative differences”. Meaning that an actor doesn’t like their work on a film.

This will probably hurt the box office. Look like our dreams of Deniro and Gibson teaming up in a film are over. Oh well. Life goes on.

Report: Robert Deniro to star alongside Mel Gibson in “Edge of Darkness”…

Robert Deniro is close to signing a deal to star alongside Mel Gibson in “Edge of Darkness”, a film adapted from a BBC TV mini series. The film is directed by Martin Campbell and shooting begins this month in Massachussetts.

Mel Gibson plays a homicide detective whose 24 year old daughter was murdered on the front steps of his home, he assumed that he was the target, but then he investigates his daughter’s secret life and her past. Deniro will play an operative who helps cleans up the evidence.

Mel Gibson’s last acting role to the big screen was M. Night Shyamalan’s “Signs” way back in 2002. Mel then made a vow to stay away from acting and concentrate on directing with such films like “The Passion” and “Apocalypto”. So much for Mel’s acting retirement since he is back in leading roles again.

The question is will Mel do “Lethal Weapon 5” or “Mad Max 4”?

I don’t want another “Lethal Weapon” film but another Mad Max would be great.

Report: Robert Deniro wants “The Good Sheperd” to be a trilogy…

While Robert Deniro is weighing in on the SAG strike, he confirmed the news that he wants to do two more sequels from “The Good Sheperd” film making it a trilogy. “The Good Shepherd” is a CIA Cold War film that starred Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie, and Alec Baldwin. It looks as though Deniro wants to continue the Edward Wilson story and wants Matt Damon to play the character still. So expect this to be Matt Damon’s “third” trilogy series with “The Jason Bourne” trilogy and the “Oceans” trilogy being the others.

Quote from article:

Turning to more professional issues, De Niro said he would like to make two sequels to CIA Cold War drama “The Good Shepherd” — one bringing the action forward from 1961 to 1989, the other following its hero, Edward Wilson (Matt Damon), up to the present day.

Although he is not working on research for the concluding parts of the hoped-for trilogy, De Niro said being in central Europe offered a good opportunity to begin thinking about the material.

“I had not been planning to do research on that while here, but it is a good idea,” he said.

Glad he wants to make it into a trilogy ’cause the ending to “The Good Shepherd” did seem to leave open for more movies. I enjoyed “The Good Shepherd” ’cause I’ve seen it in theater when it first came out.
