American Idol’s ratings might be going down but they still had 22 million viewers. That’s still one of the more popular shows on right now. The only shows more popular in the history of television were Seinfeld, MASH, My Three Sons, Cheers, Square Pegs (Starring a teenage horsefaced Sarah Jessica Parker), The Rip Taylor Show, and Alf. I know that American Idol blows a bag of dicks, but people buy what’s spoonfed to them.
Oh, and I forgot the Cosby Show. That was hugely popular. Did you know that saying “I’m dropping the Cosby kids off at the pool” is another way of saying I’m going to take a dump?
