RIP: Captain Lou Albano 1933 – 2009

WWE Legend, Captain Lou Albano, mostly famous for mixing wrestling with rock music by teaming up with Cyndi Lauper to star in her videos, has died at his home surrounded by family. Lou Albano did not have cancer and his cause of death is not known at this time.

He is also known for being a popular wrestling manager, who managed superstars such as Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant, Jimmy Snuka and more. Lou was also famous for playing the legendary video game character, Mario, in the “Super Mario Bros.” TV show.

Lou Albano was a wrestling legend and a WWE Hall of Famer. RIP Lou, that guy was so cool and one of my favorites watching him as a kid.

  1. Wow. That really blows.

I loved that guy. Piper & Lou & Snuka were my favorite of all times! And Sgt.Slaughter, of course, but that goes withouit saying for any REAL American.
Like Johnny always said, “KILL A COMMIE FOR MOMMY!”

Man, what a bummer. This is sad news.

Hey, you know about all this fighting & wrassling stuff. Isn’t that George The Animal Steele a local guy? I heard a few WWF guys are really from Glends Falls & stuff.
If they are, then it’s the only good thing to ever come out of that armpit of a city.
Believe me, I’ve been up there a lot in my day and there’s nothing good going on up there no more. They all are alcoholics and dress like lumberjacks…and that’s just the women. The guys all wish they had good bands to play in and act like they’re Canadian (the actual Great White North Canadians… not the slang word “Canadian” for ghetto folk).
They don’t have the Adirondack Red Wings any more and they are delusional that they play hockey as good as Canada just because they are SORT OF in northern NY.

But if George The Animal Steele is from there, that’s cool as heck. He was funny with the green tongue & eating the turnbuckle padding & stuff. That’s great TV.

But the rest of Glends Falls is just posers and drunks who do meth & get DWIs and don’t take care of their 3 kids with fetal alcohol syndrome because they’re too busy at the bar or banging hockey players.

Ever since the GFCC stopped doing regular concerts full time that town went right down the pooper.

    RIP Cpt.LOU!!!

    1. George the Animal Steele is actually from Detroit, Michigan.

I think you’re reffering to “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, he is the only wrestler that is from Glens Falls, N.Y.

      Kev
