New “Unsolved Mysteries” on Netflix… thoughts and opinions on all 6 cases shown on new season…

I’ve always had an interest and always been a huge fan of real true crime stories. I’ve always had an interest of it all… ya know… murders, missing persons cases, serial killers, mobster stories… I love it all… and I’m also a huge fan of the supernatural and UFO’s.

When I was young, I used to obsessively watch Unsolved Mysteries with Robert Stack as host all the time. It used to be my favorite show and now the show is back but exclusively for Netflix only with a new 15th season. I loved the old show with Robert Stack ’cause it was so scary and I love scary stuff. The dark music, Robert’s scary voice over and all that stuff.

I watched the new “Unsolved Mysteries” over the weekend, watched the first season with the first 6 episodes. I loved them all. The new season and revival of the show was surprisingly impressive and very well done show. It’s the similar format of the original show, people interview and talking about unsolved cases, scary and dark music and actors playing during scenes… except the new show didn’t have a host and no scary voice over. I kind of like that, though ’cause if they got a host and a voiceover, it would have been like Robert Stack and they probably didn’t want that. Something new and different…

Anyhow… here are my thoughts on the 6 episodes and the 6 cases so far… these are just my theories and opinions of what I think may have happened for each one so here we go:

Mystery on the Rooftop:  Was Rey Rivera fall from that historic building a suicide, accidental or a murder? Like most, I’m looking more toward a murder and the murderer is easy to figure out. I’m pointing my fingers at Rey’s so-called best friend, Porter Stansberry. No doubt Porter did it. I think there was a point where Rey and Porter didn’t get along and had a big fallen out over money or something and Porter lost it. Usually when the police wants to talk to someone in a case like this and they refuse to talk and cooperate like Porter, that always scream “guilty”. Porter did it, no doubt. Sometimes best friends don’t last forever.

13 Minutes – the murder of Patrice Endres: Patrice Endres was a young woman who owned a hair salon in a small town of Cumming, Georgia. She suddenly vanished and her remains were found in the woods by a stream. They are looking at three suspects: her husband Rob and two local serial killers. My thoughts is that they aren’t looking at Patrice’s own son, Pistol as a suspect too? On this episode, Rob and Pistol appears to be blaming each other. Pistol thinks Rob did it but Rob maintains his innocence and blames Pistol. It’s scary ’cause as Rob talks about the murder of Patrice on the show, he laughs and smiles about it. They shouldn’t rule out Pistol being a suspect ’cause he could be just as guilty as well. I don’t think those two serial killers did it… I think someone really close to Patrice did it so it had to be either Rob or Pistol. Yeah, it is possible that a son can murder his own mother, it happens lots of times in America.

House of Terror: This story is about the murder of the Dupont family in France and a man by the name of Xavier Dupont is getting blamed for the murder of the family. He hid the bodies under the house and now Xavier is out on the run. At the same time in the murders, Xavier disappeared and hasn’t yet been found. It’s been speculated that he killed himself. A murder suicide kind of thing but I don’t think so. I think Xavier is alive and out in hiding somewhere. He is out of country somewhere, no longer living in France. Definitely hiding from the law.

No Ride Home – the Alonzo Brooks story: Alonzo Brooks was a young man who suddenly disappeared after attending a house party where he got into a heated argument with a few white guys. Alonzo’s body was later found but the case was closed ’cause they can’t find any evidence of what happened to him. I agree that Alonzo was jumped by some other men and was probably beaten to death. I would think Alonzo was probably getting beaten by those guys he was arguing with at that party. There were two guys from that party getting interviewed on that episode but who knows, they might have had something to do with it. They made us believe they only saw him at that party and that’s it and they tried to show emotion but it’s easy to make people believe they’re innocent.

Berkshires 1969 UFO encounters: I’ve always believed in UFO’s and things like that so I totally believe these people and they aren’t crazy. We’re definitely not alone.

Missing Witness… the murder of Gary McCullough and disappearances of Sandy and Lena: Wow this case was something. You want a case that is a total trainwreck and that it makes you angry and frustrated, you gotta check this one out. A young woman by the name of Lena Chapin disappeared when she was 20 years old in Cassville, Missouri. She disappeared in the year 2006, which was 3 years after she came forward to Albert that she witnessed her mother, Sandy kill her third husband, Gary. Sandy had Lena help clean the place up and get rid of the body by burning it. Later on though, Lena changed her story and told law enforcement that she made the story up after she learned that her phone conversation with Albert was recorded and sent it to police. Sandy remarried to a guy name Kris Klemp after divorcing Gary even though he is no longer around. Lena suddenly vanished after she claimed she witnessed her mother killing Gary and saw it all. In 2013, though, Gary McCullough’s daughters won a wrongful death civil suit and was awarded $8 million from Sandy and Klemp. No new news about Lena since 2006 and she still hasn’t been found. Lena had a son named Colter who is probably living out there with Sandy, Lena’s Mom.

Hmmmm, wow once again. A lot of people are speculating that Sandy had something to do with both disappearances, Gary and Lena. She definitely had something to do with Gary but her murdering Lena is just speculation, though. What if Lena is still alive and out in hiding ’cause she’s scared to death of her evil Mom? Could be a big possibility and not many really thought about that. Maybe she’s just scared for her life ’cause she knows how much of a psycho her own Mom really is. Some say, Lena wouldn’t do that ’cause she wouldn’t leave her son to Sandy but she could. Don’t always assume things. It could be that Lena is still alive or she could be dead, ya never know. No doubt, though that Sandy is an evil woman and it’s incredible how she’s still out there living her life. This case is not related to Jaliek Rainwalker at all but there are a lot of similarities and totally reminds me of the Rainwalker case.

Speaking of Jaliek Rainwalker, I hope “Unsolved Mysteries” does a future episode on him for season 2. I’m sure all of Season 1 has been filmed already but we’ll have to wait to see if they’ll do something on Jaliek for Season 2 ’cause we just sent in a submission on their website so it could happen. I hope they do an episode on Jaliek in the future ’cause it’ll be cool. We’ll have to wait and see.

The new Unsolved Mysteries was surprisingly great and I can’t wait for the next 6 episodes. Looking forward to more and if you’re a Netflix subscriber yourself, definitely check it out.
