RIP James Brown, who died 6 years ago today…

On this day, James Brown, the Godfather of Soul passed away in 2006. I’ll never forget, and neither should you, music lovers.

People are always paying tribute to Dimebag, John Lennon and Jim Morrison on Dec. 8th, but when it comes to Christmas Day, you don’t see too many paying respects for James Brown. Ah well. Maybe this is what he would have wanted. People having a good Christmas and not worrying about him.

So that’s why Netflix wouldn’t work on me last night, they had an outage!!!

I’ve been trying to watch a Netflix movie last night, and couldn’t get it to work, but I guess everyone else had the same thing. There are articles all over the net that they had an outage on Christmas Eve night. I bet it pissed off all the customers too. I was a little pissed myself that Netflix wouldn’t work last night, ’cause like most everyone, I wanted to enjoy a Netflix movie on Christmas Eve. Ah well.

I won’t be watching Netflix tonight, ’cause I got a few Blu Ray’s today.

I’m hoping to see “Django Unchained” tomorrow in the theater. I think I’m definitely going to see, “Les Miserables” later this week as well. After I see those two films, I’ll definitely get the “15 Best of Movies of 2012” list up here then. I won’t bother waiting for “Zero Dark Thirty”, that can wait for next  year’s list since that film will be released everywhere in Jan, anyway. I just want to get this list done and get it up here.

Here’s a few good stuff I got today for Christmas. I did get more but the rest of the gifts were just other stuff, clothes, and things like that.

In the Stephen King picture, that red hardcover is “Carrie” if you can’t read it. I’m just about done collecting Stephen King’s complete bibliography. I just need 4 more of his books left and then I’m done. Except the last 4 I need left are the hard to find ones ’cause it’s very hard to get the classic Stephen King books these days.

It’s been a pretty good Christmas for me so far.

I’m probably gonna watch Expendables 1 & 2 later this evening, or maybe Led Zep’s “Celebration Day”. Don’t know yet!

Hope, all of ya’s are having a good holiday today. Enjoy yourselves!

Hope you all have a great Christmas tomorrow!

I haven’t posted on the blog much this weekend ’cause I have been busy. With Christmas parties all weekend and other things.

Plus, I’ve watched a few movies at home over the weekend. Just re-watched “Prometheus” on Blu Ray. On Netflix, I watched “The Game” starring Michael Douglas and earlier this afternoon, I watched “Marathon Man” with Dustin Hoffman. I was gonna watch another movie on Netflix tonight, but the Netflix server don’t want to seem to work tonight for some reason.

I had a pretty good weekend and hope you all had a good one too.

Everyone’s talking about New Year’s resolutions, I hate doing these things ’cause they really never happen. Well, other than the fitness thing. My new year’s resolution this year is to hopefully become more outgoing. I need to stop being a loser and become somebody. Be a part of this world by socializing more with people. If I want to get myself a nice lady in my life, this is what I need to do. Learn to be more sociable and meet new people. It is getting worked on. I’m the type of guy that is only talkative to people I know well. I need to get used to talking to complete strangers more. It is definitely a learning skill, indeed.

Have a good night everyone, and keep an eye on my twitter tomorrow, ’cause I’ll be posting photos of some of the gifts, I’ll be getting. Enjoy!

Christmas parties…

Well, it’s that time of year again. It’s Holiday season and this is time where all the Christmas parties will come around to celebrate with family or friends. I have Christmas parties all weekend. I went to one last night. The one from last night, was for friends. Yes, I do have “friends”, in my world. At the party last night, there was all kinds of alcohol and food around. Yes, I did get a little hammered last night. I didn’t drink too much, though. I had like 5 or 6 beers, last night. I had some good conversations with people I know and met a few new people who I didn’t know. I need to get out and socialize more and getting better at talking to people. I’ll admit that I am kind of quiet and a bit anti-social, but I’m finally starting to realize that people are really easy to talk to.

I had quite a bit to eat as well. There are still more Christmas parties this weekend. Yeah, I’ll probably get a little fatter, but I’ll take it off at the gym when the Holidays are over with.

I used to think that when you get into bodybuilding, you need to give up alcohol completely. I used drink quite often before I started bodybuilding, but I avoided alcohol for about 2 or 3 years, ’cause I thought alcohol and bodybuilding don’t mix. I am finally realizing, that it’s okay to get drunk once in a blue moon as long as you don’t over do it. Bodybuilders get drunk and wasted, all the time. So, I believe it’s okay, and won’t hurt anything.

The gyms will be getting busier after Holiday season. Why? Because of New Year’s Resolutions. People will work out in gyms for a while, and then they will give up. People usually don’t stay committed to their New Year’s Resolutions, so the gyms will start slowing down after a month or two. I don’t give up my New Year’s Resolutions in bodybuilding. I do this all year round and still going even to this day. Maybe I’ll post a progress pic, Christmas Day. Probably will.

Feedback for my online web presence…

Whenever I go out somewhere in the public, like going to hang with some friends or family or whatever, I always get people coming up to me and telling me in person, giving me feedback on my online web presence. Whether it will be my personal facebook page or my blog, people are always saying how they love my work. They find my stuff that I do online interesting and entertaining. Of course, there will be some that will hate my web presence. Some will accuse me of not being smart or crazy as hell, but believe me, there are people out there that love everything I write online. I really like mixed opinions on my online web presence. You either love me or hate me. Either is good.

People will usually come up to me and say, “I follow your stuff online, I love what you do”.

I think the best feedback I ever got from someone was, “You’re the type of blogger who doesn’t give a shit”.

And this person who said that is exactly right. I don’t give a shit. I’ve had that kind of attitude from day 1 ever since I started blogging. I’m just the type of guy who is not afraid of things, you know. Some on this blog, accused me of being afraid of the truth, when that is not true at all. That’s what my blogs and social networking sites are about. I like the truth about things. It might hurt some people, but I’m not afraid of it. Just like all the stuff I say about Obama, current events in the news, and even entertainment news.

I do have a big “following”, but it’s mostly for my online web presence, and not for my music.

One thing to keep in mind though, I don’t do this for popularity, to get fame, money, or any of that stuff. What I do is not only to entertain people. I like entertaining people, of course, but I just want to teach people it’s okay to be real about things. It’s boring as hell having the same opinions as everyone else, and I don’t need to be that person. My goal is to give people a reality check on things. That’s how my blogs have always been.

I’m not ashamed to be this way, and don’t have any regrets.

Haters & Trolls in music…

I know I get a lot of haters & trolls. I’ve been dealing with that shit for years, but, I understand that’s the name of the game when you become a musician. You have to deal with all kinds of hateful and critical people everywhere. It doesn’t matter how good your music is. It doesn’t matter how good of a person you are. Male or female. You’re gonna get haters. Haters are gonna hate, period. All bands and music artists get their share of haters (I’m sure EBJ gets a lot of them too). While this is ridiculous, and I do hate that people feel the need to be negative toward music artists who work hard to entertain people, you just have to realize that you can’t please everyone.

Haters can actually be inspiring people, honestly. Why? Because they let you know what they don’t like about you, and you can actually learn from them to improve yourself. Plus, they can help make you tougher and keep doing what you love is playing music. If you want to succeed in your dreams and goals as a music artist or if you’re in a band, you must stay above these people, and ignore them.

This is why I’m strict on moderating comments everywhere. Whether it will be in my facebook page, my blog or youtube channel. I have to moderate comments so I can eliminate negativity and drama of any kind.

Yes, I do know about other people making anonymous accounts to bully me in other places online. I do know about all the hateful youtube videos targeting me, I do know about the anonymous facebook accounts targeting me, and even twitter accounts. I also know about the anonymous blogs attacking me as well. I let that stuff go, ’cause I can’t do anything about that stuff. People can attack me else where, but not in my world. See what I’m saying?

I want to be around good people who are actually supportive and kind. There are supporters out there who have my back. I have my share of fans too. This is another reason why I’m strict on moderating so they don’t have to deal with negativity of other people too. It’s not just about me.

I’m not a selfish, ego-driven, attention whoring guy, that people mistakenly see me as. If you give me a chance, you’ll see that I can have heart and actually care about other people.

Led Zeppelin, now in the Itunes store!!!

Led Zep fans! First AC/DC have a change of heart with Itunes, and now Led Zeppelin, joins in. Led Zeppelin is another famous band who have avoided Itunes for years, and now their entire catalogue is now purchasable in the Itunes store.

I don’t need to buy their albums in Itunes ’cause I own all of them on CD, anyway. Well, except for “In Through the Outdoor”, I might get that just one from Itunes.

I’m about to watch the Led Zep interview with Charlie Rose on “CBS This Morning”.

The End of the World…

I don’t think the end of the world is coming to an end tomorrow, of course not, but it is funny how people in facebook get into it and make jokes about it. I’m sure the end of the world will happen one day, but not now. Planet Earth will be around for a million years to come or more. An apocalypse can happen any time really. Ya never know that this planet could explode or a bunch of asteroids start dropping on us or this planet could start heating up, whatever. The end of the world happened to Dinosaurs, it could happen to us too.

As for what I want on the last day of Earth, just for fun, well, to get laid with a hot woman, of course, lol.

We’ll still be standing tomorrow, but if something really does happen tomorrow if the Mayan Calendar happens to be right, I’ll see y’all on the flip side.
