Report: Madonna announces world tour…

Announced today, Madonna revealed she will go on a full world tour this summer, playing a slew of 50-60 shows. This tour is of course produced and sponsored by Live Nation. Her first concert of the tour will begin Aug. 23rd in Cardiff, Wales. Her tour listings will be unleashed to the public later today.

Billboard reports:

Will Madonna come to Albany at Times Union Center or Saratoga Springs at SPAC this summer? Who knows. But it’s pretty unlikely. The closest she’ll probably perform to us is no where other than NYC, she’ll probably get a gig at Madison Square Garden if anything. A Madonna tour is good news though.

Report: Amy Winehouse turns herself in for possesion of crack/cocaine…

Amy Winehouse turned herself into London police today due to a video she was being taped smoking crack/cocaine at a house party that the Sun newspaper released to the internet for everyone to see. The police became curious and wanted to investigate themselves.

MTV reports:

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1587016/20080507/winehouse_amy.jhtml

If she dies of a drug overdose this year, I won’t feel upset or devastated about it. There’s been so many celebrities and famous musicians dying of drug overdoses that I really don’t care anymore. It’s gonna happen to her at some point if she doesn’t cut the shit.

I’d love to see new music by her but I’m afraid we ain’t gonna see a new album by her in a long time. She’s gonna keep doing drugs no matter how many times she turns herself into rehab.

Keep it up Amy, or you’ll be singing in heaven with Ike Turner before you know it.

Report: The Police to play their final show in NYC after their tour is done…

Sting, Andy Summers and Stu Copeland will play their final and last show as the Police in NYC where the band started out 30 years ago. The Police has made a lot of history in New York City as they played a lot of shows when they were just starting out as a band. Their first number of gigs were at no where other than the legendary CBGB’s where the band was made famous. The band started in NYC and they want to end their career in NYC. They didn’t announce a date for the NYC concert just yet.

Their NYC concert will benefit the city’s local public TV stations. They will also work with Mayor Bloomberg for MillionTreesNYC.

From the Police official website:

http://www.thepolice.com/news/news.php?uid=5695

It’s too bad that the CBGB’s closed down before their final show, I’m sure the band would have loved to have their final gig at the same venue where they started.

I’m not a fan of the Police anymore, I used to be. But Sting’s singing is too good and profesional that he doesn’t sing like he used to in the Police back in the old days. That’s why I think the Police reunion is crap.

The Police will make a stop at SPAC in Saratoga Springs to open for Elvis Costello this summer, I’m not sure if I’ll go to that or not. Probably not, I don’t go to famous national concerts anymore.

First they did this with “Ghosts I-IV”, now they’ve released their second studio album of the year titled “The Slip”. “Ghosts I-IV” was just an instrumental album I believe, “The Slip” is an album with vocals.

Go here to the Nine Inch Nails official website to get the new FREE album:

Cool Video: Stone Temple Pilots live on Jimmy Kimmel here…

If you missed the Stone Temple Pilots performance on Jimmy Kimmel like I did, Rollingstone.com has the video, they perform the songs “Vasoline” and “Trippin On a Hole In a Paper Heart”:

After the band’s long hiatus, they are still sounding great. Weiland still sings very well even though he’s still a drug addict and a drunk.

Their last TV performance was on the Jimmy Kimmel show way back in 2002.

Report: Kanye West slams Entertainment Weekly magazine…

Entertainment Weekly don’t come to my show, you’re not invited!

Yep, those are the words coming from the finger tips of rapper Kanye West, responding to a negative concert review of his “Glow in the Dark” tour in Entertainment Weekly magazine.

Mostly, Kanye has been pretty nice and calm in his blog, but he finally has a blog where he has a harsh rant to actually speak his mind on something.

Click his blog entry here to give it a read, it’s pretty hilarious!

LOL! He said, “You’re fucking trash” to Entertainment Weekly!

But I’m agreeing what everyone is saying in the comments of his post, “Fuck the haters”.

That’s what all musicians and artists should do, ignore the critics.

If a big time magazine wanted to give me nasty reviews of my music, I would just thank them for the publicity. Bad publicity can be good.
