Won’t be getting Showtime for Dexter…

…the reason is, Showtime is way too expensive. It’s at least $35 a month, which is a pretty ridiculous pricing. So I’ll just have no choice but to wait for “Dexter – Season 6” to come out on DVD instead. Movie channels through Time Warner Cable are all very pricey. No sense of getting movie channels when I already have Netflix, right? I just wanted Showtime for Dexter, that’s it, but not gonna get it now.

That’s okay, there’s plenty to watch on TV at night anyway. At least there’s “Walking Dead – Season 2” coming up later this month which is what I’m very excited for. I’ve been watching, “The Playboy Club”, Monday nights which that is a very good show, it hasn’t disappointed me yet. Plus, I watch a lot of NFL football lately too.

I haven’t been watching WWE RAW for the past couple of weeks. Getting so bored of it. The PG rating and John Cena hogging the show all the time. *yawn* RAW is getting terrible again. Although, I still respect the performers, it’s just that the show and the writing isn’t good lately.

Like I always say, I’m not much of a TV junkie. I’m trying my best to keep myself an active person and do productive things during the day like going to the gym and doing my cardio. I haven’t been going outside most of this week because of the rain. So I’ve been stuck inside, playing video games, doing some reading, playing some guitar, and watching “24” on Netflix.

The book I’m reading now, is “The Fountainhead” by Ayn Rand. It’s an old classic, but somebody recommended me to start reading some, Ayn Rand. I need to start reading some classic literature. I’ll review, “The Fountainhead”, when I finish reading it. Great book so far though.

Just bored tonight, so I thought I write in about random stuff going on.

What I’ve been doing this weekend…

On weekends, I usually take the entire weekend off of fitness and going to the gym. I even don’t do any cardio on Saturdays – Sundays either. It’s good to take a couple of days off a week from the gym, to give more time to heal and rest. That’s why I do it.

I spent most of the weekend, playing the new “Deus Ex: Human Revolution” game. I can’t stop playing and already addicted. So far, it’s a really impressive game. I’m loving it, but the thing is, I think this is the most challenging game I’ve ever played. I’m usually good at all games I play, but this one is a bitch. I’m getting the hang of things though.

I also want to get the game “Dead Island”. I will get that game too someday but I’m going to wait to finish, “Deus Ex” first, then I’ll buy, “Dead Island”. I like to complete one game at a time. Once I start a game, I need to finish it completely.

I did watch UFC 135 last night. The main event with Jon Jones vs. Rampage Jackson was a boring fight, but all the other fights were good though. Only thing though, I’m going to have to stop getting UFC ppv’s. The prices for UFC ppv’s are too high for my tastes, they’re like $55 for each ppv. They’re getting too pricey for one person to get monthly. If I’m going to get Showtime for “Dexter”, I need to stop  getting ppv’s so my cable bill won’t be so high. Dexter “Season 6” premieres next Sunday night, so hopefully I’ll get Showtime before then.

Just bored on a Sunday night, sitting here while there is a football game on TV.

I don’t have to have the same opinions as everyone else…

The thing I’m noticing with people is that they seem to be having the same opinions of everything that goes on in the media and the news. Facebook is good evidence of that. If you don’t have the same opinion, if you disagree with them, that makes you a bad person. If everyone had to agree with everything, that’s gotta be fucking boring, right?

I like being real and honest about things. I don’t have to agree with same sex marriage like everyone else. I have the right to say that Troy Davis is guilty and he got what he deserved. I have the right to say that the West Memphis Three guys got away with murder. I don’t have to hate Metallica like everyone else. I don’t have to hate Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, or Justin Bieber, as they don’t bother me at all. I don’t have to hate Sarah Palin.

You get the deal. You see, I don’t have differences of opinions on everything, I actually agree with people on some things. I agree with everyone that Casey Anthony got away with murdering her own daughter. I now agree how bad Twilight is, I’m not into that stuff anymore. I don’t like Jersey Shore like everyone else. I also hate reality shows like everyone else.

I just like and hate anything I want. I’m not afraid to say that I like something that everyone hates. For example if I say I like Katy Perry or Sarah Palin, I know I’m going to get flamed by so many people for it. That’s okay. I think it makes them mad because they know I’m different.

It’s okay to have differences of opinion. It’s good to be real with things. You shouldn’t be afraid to say that you like something even if you know people won’t agree with it. It shows that you have the balls and confidence to say whatever you want.

Got my Ibanez acoustic all fixed!!!

Today, I just got my Ibanez acoustic back from Parkway Music. My Ibanez acoustic/electric works perfectly fine now. It’s like new again, the way it’s supposed to. I’ll be sure to take better care of this guitar so it won’t happen again. The repair cost was very cheap too. Glad I got my acoustic back to working. Now I’ll be able to plug in and rock out.

I still play my Ibanez Hollow Body electric. I just want to have both an acoustic/electric and the regular electric. I’m going to try to start writing some new songs now that I got my acoustic back. Feels good. Thanks Parkway, that’s a great guitar shop. The best guitar shop in the area for sure.

Since it was a rainy day today, I decided to start the game, “Deus Ex: Human Revolution”, and it’s a pretty sick game so far. It’s really hard and challenging though, but I’m getting the hang of it. When I complete, “Deus Ex”, I’ll give it a full review.

Explaining my passions in things…

I like to do so many different hobbies & activities, because I try my best to stay active and I need to be inspired by doing different things in life. A lot of people out there will spend most of their time partying hard and drinking alcohol but not me. I like to do good things.

Here’s a list explaining my passions…

  • Fitness/Bodybuilding – I’ve had an interest in bodybuilding for years, and I finally got into it full time 3 years ago. As everyone knows, Arnold and Sly inspired me to get into it. Fitness and bodybuilding is so mainstream right now, everyone is into it. So I figure, I would get into to it too. Change my lifestyle and try to get the body that everyone wants. I don’t have the look where I could be called an official, “bodybuilder” yet, but that is my goal. I want that look too, but it’ll take some time. I got a lot of work to do in order for people to start calling me an actual, “bodybuilder”.
  • Music/Guitar playing – Music’s been in my blood ever since I was a child, I first started playing guitar at the age of 18. It was Jimmy Page that got me to pick up the guitar. I love music because it helps me get away from everything else in life and gets my mind off of everything. Music makes me feel better. That’s how powerful music really is. I love all kinds of music, but I mostly like rock n’ roll and metal. Anything with kick ass guitar playing, I’m a fan.
  • Reading – Reading books or magazines is something I do, when I want to have some peace and quiet for myself. If I don’t feel like do anything else, I’ll read a book or a magazine. Things I like to read are mostly horror & crime fiction. I also like to read anything about music and guitar instruction. I also like to read celebrity autobiographies as well.
  • Movies – A lot of people know I am a movie buff. I just love movies. I enjoy watching movies a lot because I like storytelling. I also enjoy watching the creative talent of other people through the actors and directors. I like to be entertained like everyone else.
  • Video games – Just like with music, I’ve always been a die hard video gamer. I like video games ’cause they help you think. They’re inspiring. I like the creative art with video games as well. The games I mostly like to play are action/adventure, first person shooters, and sometimes car racing games.
  • Professional wrestling – As a lot of people know, I have a huge passion for the wrestling business. A lot of people wonder why and people find it weird, but I don’t care what other people think. Wrestling is entertaining to me and I respect the performers, because they work their ass off for what they do to entertain people. Wrestling may not be for everyone but you should give these guys the respect they deserve too. It maybe fake, but at least they perform these shows live in person, there’s nothing fake about that, right? Think about it.
That’s it. Hope you enjoy.

Why I’m starting to post here, less and less…

Some you of readers may wonder why I’m starting to post here less and less. Only starting to make 3 or 4 posts a day or sometimes none at all.

It’s because I’m trying to fine better things to do. I’m honestly starting to get bored of blogging and I just come on here only when I feel like it. I’ve been spending time doing other things like working out at the gym, doing my cardio, playing my guitar, catching up with some reading, playing video games, watch movies, etc. I do my usual daily activities, even though I’m currently unemployed, I still try to keep myself busy.

When ever I see an interesting news story that I need to get on here or whenever I need to get something off my chest, that’s when I’ll want to post here.

I don’t take this blog seriously anymore like I used to. I got better things to do outside in the real world off this computer. That’s what I’m trying to do. This blog is a home where I can have a place to rant & rave, that’s all I use this site for.

I love to rant & rave publicly for a lot of reasons. One reason, it makes me feel good about myself and makes me feel better to get things off my chest, instead of holding it in, like a lot of people seem to be doing these days. My blogging has nothing to do with attention whoring and it’s not an ego trip at all. It’s about expressing yourself and not being afraid to do it.

I try to blog more when things get interesting. Nothing much going on today. I’m trying to finsh, the “L.A. Noire” video game so I can move on to “Deus Ex: Human Revolution” which is a new game I picked up the other day.

I plan to pick out a movie to watch on Netflix tonight.

Guitar repairs…

My Ibanez AEF-30 acoustic electric needs repairs as you can see here. That guitar part, I don’t know what it’s called is broken. The four corners are broke and I can no longer screw it in, plus the battery slide there is having trouble pushing in as well. Plus, the electronics are dead. There’s probably a loose connection somewhere with the wiring.

I’ve been talking with Parkway Music guitar shop in Clifton Park, in hopes of replacing that entire guitar part. I’ve had that guitar part fixed and repaired at Saratoga Guitar before, but it broke again. I once asked Saratoga Guitar if they can replace that guitar part for me, but they claim it’ll be way over priced, when it shouldn’t be.

Parkway says, that guitar part will cost me around $20 and might cost a little extra for replacing it, I’m not sure. It shouldn’t cost much to replace it, ’cause I’m sure it would only take them a few quick minutes to re-wire the whole thing to make it work good like new again.

Parkway seems very good when it comes to repairs. I want my Ibanez Acoustic/Electric to be working good like new again so I can plug in and rock out again. When I first bought this guitar, I think it costed me about $400 – $500. So can you blame me for wanting it to get it fixed so badly? I don’t want to give up on this guitar.

After I get this guitar fixed like new again, I’ll be sure to take very good care of it, next time. I still like to play acoustic even though I play an electric guitar now. I’m working with Parkway on this.

The Day After Irene

All day on Facebook, people have been posting pretty amazing photos of floodings, home wrecks, and other crazy things in the East Coast. Honestly, I find this pretty interesting stuff. A lot of dams have been destroyed which helps cause the flooding. There’s going to be possible flooding in the Greenwich and Schuylerville area, ’cause in Middle Falls there’s a huge crack in the dam here. They’re trying to look to see how bad the crack is. Hopefully it isn’t too bad. The dam in Middle Falls is really big. If it breaks, we’re all doomed and we’ll be underwater very quickly. It’s also getting kind of scary the day after Irene.

To those affected the day after, stay strong and stay safe. It maybe crazy, but I repeat, you being alive is what matters the most. Help your family and neighbors in your town clean up, and give people all the help they need even if you don’t know them.

I know this is a tough time but we have to learn that life moves forward, it always does.

I wonder if there is going to be a televised telethon for Red Cross Donations. You know like what they did with “9/11”, “Katrina”, “Haiti”, etc. Have musicians perform and celebrities answer phone calls. I’m sure they’ll plan another one of those pretty soon for “Irene”.

This is inspiring me to start writing music about the events of “Irene”. I haven’t written new songs in a while and just got some ideas in my head.

Best of luck to all you readers out there. Stay safe. Always.

Well, Hurricane Irene did hit NY pretty good, but not that hard as people expected…

I predicted the Hurricane Irene wasn’t going to happen at all but look like I thought wrong.  A tree fell in my yard of my house. The tree didn’t land on top of my house thankfully. Only one tree fell in my yard, that was it.

Today was a great day to stay in the house, to do some reading or play with the computer or whatever. We didn’t even lose power here in Greenwich either.

I finished reading the fifth book of “The Song of Ice and Fire” series, “A Dance With Dragons” today, I will write a review of that book soon. I just started reading Jaycee Dugard’s book, ” A Stolen Life”, after that.

All day on facebook, people were posting songs that had something to do with storms or hurricanes. Of course, Scorpions “Rock You Like a Hurricane” was the most posted, but I posted songs about storms that people didn’t know about.

Like these songs in the videos I posted in facebook today.

I hope all readers had a safe day and hope your home didn’t get too much damage. Even if your home is destroyed, that’s not really important. Staying alive is important. We should all be thankful that we’re still standing because Hurricane Irene could have killed us all if she wanted to.

Today was interesting day.
