“Ghostbusters: The Video Game” is finally here!!!

The wait is finally over. “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” is finally on video game shelves everywhere. I will indeed be getting my copy tomorrow. I would get it today, but I have to cash my check from my job this week, then I’ll get it tomorrow afternoon.

Surprisingly, this game is getting so many great reviews online. Everyone is saying that this new Ghostbusters game is such a blast to play.

I’m really looking forward to it. Only thing though, I must beat, “Resident Evil 5” first, then I’ll start, “Ghostbusters” next. I’m glad the game is finally out.

Resident Evil 5 thoughts…

So I’ve been playing the game “Resident Evil 5” for the past week or so. The game is pretty cool. The action is fun, but of course, so far, the game is kind of  a bit too simple to play. I’m playing this is on the “difficulty/hard” level of course. On every action/adventure game, I always play on the “difficult/hard” levels, because I feel that when you play the game on easy or medium modes, it gets me thinking that you’re not much of a pro gamer that some people make them out to be. If you want to be an expert game player, play the games on “difficulty” on everything you play.

This game got a lot of controversy in the media when it first came out ’cause of the racist material in it. The game is set in Africa where the two main characters, Chris and Sheva fight all these zombies that are mostly blacks. In the game, the black zombies will kill and execute human white people. I can understand why people think the game is racist, but there is racist material in almost all video games and movies these days.

It’s not okay to be a racist in real life, but in fiction storytelling whether it will be in video games, books or movies, it makes it okay. It doesn’t make you a racist for telling a story about it in fiction entertainment.

“Resident Evil 5” is a fun game though. I’m hoping to beat this game before the “Ghostbusters” game come out next week. I haven’t gone to the mall yet ’cause I’m waiting for “Ghostbusters” to come out, then I will go and pick it up. Maybe catch a movie in theater too if anything good is playing.

“Ghostbusters – The Video Game” comes out in two weeks, just around the corner….

The Best Buy website says “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” comes out June 17th which is in two weeks. I know I’m definitely going to get it for sure, ’cause I’ve been anticipating to get this game ever since it was first announced. I hope the game don’t dissapoint and hope it don’t suck. I’m just a little worried that the creators of the game will make it too easy ’cause they’ll know that kids will be interested in it too.

So far, from what I’m seeing, the game looks a lot of fun to play. Check out a couple of gameplay clips from the game itself. The game is set a few years after “Ghostbusters 2” film.

Enjoy.

Finally, beat “Bioshock” today…

After working out at the gym for a while this morning, I was playing “Bioshock” this afternoon, trying to beat the game. I just beat it today. Played the game on the difficulty level. Even though the game was played in the difficulty level, the final boss wasn’t that hard to beat. Only took me several tries to beat the last boss. The rest of the game is wicked hard though. This game took me a long time to get through.

I had to buy a new PS3 game controller today, picked it up from Kmart on the way home from the gym. The game controller I was using before was having problems with it and hasn’t been working right, so I had to get a new one.

I’ll probably start “Resident Evil 5” tonight.

Report: Activision files lawsuit against video game company to stop the release of a game voiced by Jack Black…

Activision has sued, Double Fine Productions, a video game developer in Santa Montica, California, claiming they transferred the rights that were owned by Activision.

An action adventure video game titled, “Brutal Legend” which the main character is voiced by hollywood actor and comedian, Jack Black, was planning to get released this year. Black plays a character in the game as a heavy metal roadie in a mythical world to fight against evil.

Brock still trying to beat “Bioshock”…

Now that I’m finally starting to play the PS3 a lot more often again, I’m still trying to beat this “Bioshock” game. There are 13 chapters in the game, and I’m currently on Chapter 11, “Appollo Square”. After I beat this Chapter, I have to beat two more and then I complete the game.

This game is great. “Bioshock”, I think is the best first person shooter game ever made in the video game world. Forget “Duke Nukem”, forget “Doom”, forget “Wolfenstein”, forget “F.E.A.R.”. “Bioshock” tops all first person shooters ever.

I think Gore Verbinski is going to make “Bioshock” an incredible movie. Most movies adapted from video games aren’t that great, but I think Verbinski will make “Bioshock” a very promising film. When this game gets made to a movie, I’m willing to bet you that the catchprase, “Would You Kindly” would also become a very popular movie catchphrase.

“Bioshock” has the best graphics, the best sound, the best action, best storyline/writing, etc. I sure can’t wait for, “Bioshock 2”.

I’m trying to finish “Bioshock” so I can move on to “Resident Evil 5” that I never started playing yet. I know a lot of people like to play a variety of different games in one day since they get sick of playing the same game for hours, but not with me.

I’m a one game at a time, kind of guy. Once I start playing a game, I never stop until it’s done. Then I choose a different game to move on to next.

Another game I’m interested in picking up soon, is a game titled, “Infamous”, it’s an original superhero adventure game that I’ve been reading reviews of lately. I’m thinking of picking it up soon.

Confirmed: “Metal Gear Solid: Rising” coming to the PS3!!!!

WOOT! Konami just confirmed the rumours are true that “Metal Gear Solid: Rising”, where the character Raiden gets his own video game is indeed coming to the PS3 and for PC/CDROM as well. For you Xbox’ers it’s also coming for the 360.

More on it here:

This is exciting news, I can’t wait to play the Raiden character. The character is so badass in the games. I’ll definitely be getting this game when it hits the video game shelves!

Report: “Metal Gear Solid: Rising”, Raiden to get his own video game?

There’s a new “Metal Gear Solid” reboot series coming to the PS3 very soon, but this “Metal Gear Solid” series won’t focus on the game’s main character of Solid Snake. The next “Metal Gear Solid”, you’ll finally get to play the character Raiden. Raiden (pictured above) is a character from the earlier Metal Gear Solid games that you don’t play but he is seen in the scene segments of the game. In the next Metal Gear game, you’ll actually get to play Raiden yourself.

I thought Raiden is one of the best characters in the Metal Gear Solid games. Konami will hold a press conference today to announce the news. For now this is just a rumour but Konami will confirm whether it is true or not. It must be true if they are holding a press conference about it.

More on the story here:

Wow, playing the Raiden character in the next Metal Gear Solid game, will be freaking sweet!!!!

I’ll be on the lookout for this news.

Report: Grand Theft Auto controversy doesn’t seem to want to end, video game comes out of the closet?

Rockstar games, announce the release of another Grand Theft Auto IV downloadable and payable chapter for Xbox 360 only. The chapter is titled, “The Ballad Of Gay Tony”. It’s about a nightclub owner named Tony Prince with a nickname of “Gay Tony” in the game, but it is not yet known if the character is homosexual.

More on it here:

http://news-briefs.ew.com/2009/05/gtaiv-gay-tony.html

Does this mean that Grand Theft Auto V will experiment with homosexuality in crime for the next installment of the game? It wouldn’t surprise me if it will, since homosexuality has been so huge in the mainstream these days. The GTA series are always trying something different in every game.

“Grand Theft Auto IV” was a pretty good game, only thing I don’t like about it, was that it was too easy to beat. There were only like one or two difficult missions to get by, that was it.

If Rockstar does a 5th GTA game, they should bring the Niko Bellic character back ’cause he is such a badass video game character and one of the bests created.

“UFC Undisputed 2009” thoughts…

I played a few hours of the new “UFC Undisputed 2009” video game on the PS3 last night. I think it’s really cool and really fun. Probably one of the better fighting video games in a while. It has a lot of moves you need to learn which makes ’em challenging. It also has all the current UFC fighters including Brock Lesnar, Chuck Liddell, Shogun Rua, etc.

I’ve just been learning the moves through the tutorial and doing the practice modes, playing around the exhibition matches and stuff. I need to get good at the game first before I start the career mode. The video game is very similar of what you see on TV. It almost looks real.

I didn’t watch UFC 98 ppv last night, I thought about it, but then I decided not to since I get WWE ppv’s every month. Since I am now a big fan of UFC, I’m thinking about giving up on WWE for good, and support UFC instead. WWE is getting real bad again.

I’m starting to like UFC a lot more ’cause it’s real fighting and a real sport. UFC rules.
