Bill Murray gives all female “Ghostbusters” his blessings…

Bill Murray responds to “Ghostbusters 3” again and he actually likes Sony’s new idea of turning Ghostbusters to all female. Look like he is definitely all for it; however, Bill is still tight-lipped on whether or not he’s gonna be in it.

It may look like that Bill Murray may not be in the new film but still though, never say never. Since he replied positively to the new idea… never know… maybe he’ll be up for a cameo or something??? I hope he gives us something. It’s not Ghostbusters without our Peter Venkman.

More on “Ghostbusters III”…

I was just doing a little research on “Ghostbusters III” and the reason that Dr. Ray Stantz won’t be able to catch ghosts by himself is that it isn’t only because of his age. It’s just that he has knee problems, he might be blind in one eye, he’ll be having hip issues and he’ll be too fat to fit into his Ghostbusters jumpsuit. Of course, things could always change with the script re-writes and all that stuff.

As you read here: http://ghostbusters.wikia.com/wiki/Ghostbusters_III

… the original idea was that they were gonna go for three young men and one young girl in their 20’s so obviously they changed it to 4 young girls instead.

Even though Bill Murray still hasn’t said anything on whether or not he’s gonna reprise his role as Peter Venkman, never say never. There’s still plenty of time for him to respond still. Dan said Bill is always welcome when he wants to. So if Bill says yes, it’ll probably be for a short role. I really do hope Bill signs on. It’ll definitely help the box office if he agrees to appear. Bill is just like the rest of us, he wants the third one to be good. He’s taking the script seriously. I hope Bill goes for it… we’ll have to wait and see. That’ll be cool to see Ray and Peter train the 4 girls together.

I’m a huge Ghostbusters fan. I’m only a fan of the first one. The first one is a classic. I didn’t like the 2nd one that much. The only scene I liked in “Ghostbusters 2” was when Louis Tully tried to defend the Ghostbusters by saying something like, “I was taken over by a dog and they helped me” and Egon responded with, “Very good Louis. Short but pointless”. That was the best scene of the whole movie but other than that, the film was trash. I can understand why people would be skeptical of GIII.

When Ray Stantz returns, he’ll be the same old crazy Dr. Ray. When the girls catch their first ghost, I can see Ray going nuts like, “WOW, that’s great!!!” Like he always does. Even though Dan haven’t played the character in a long time, I’m sure he’s gonna kill it. Dan did a great job voicing the character for the Video Game so he will be able to play the character well with no problem.

I like Dan Aykroyd. Always did. The guy is a legend and a comic genius. I’ve always admired his speed-talking skills which is what he’s most famous for.

Hopefully, they’ll finally start filming “GIII” in 2015. They’ve been wanting to do this movie since the 2nd one and glad they’re finally getting closer to finally making it.

An all female Ghostbusters group could work… and I’m willing to give it a chance!!!

With Harold Ramis now being dead and Bill Murray still no longer wants any part of Ghostbusters at all, it makes a lot of sense to reboot Ghostbusters. The idea of “Ghostbusters 3” is that the original Ghostbusters will pass the torch to new and young “Ghostbusters”. In the beginning, they were gonna do an all young male group but they changed it to an all female Ghostbusters group.

I actually like an all female Ghostbusters group. While the plot to the new Ghostbusters movie haven’t been revealed yet… you can still get an idea of what the plot is going to be. This movie is gonna be about Dr. Ray Stantz training new rookie’s to be new Ghostbusters. Since Harold Ramis is now gone, they’re probably gonna make it so that Dr. Egon Spengler is gonna be dead in the film. Since Bill Murray is still not in, they’re probably gonna make it that Dr. Peter Venkman has retired and moved on. Who knows what happened to Winston Zeddemore? Ray is still the only Ghostbuster. Ray is getting old and he wants to move on and to retire. New York City is still being attacked by ghosts all over the place and Dr. Ray Stantz can’t do it all by himself ’cause of his age so he’s looking for new recruits.

Dr. Ray Stantz goes around looking for new people to be a part of the new Ghostbusters team. He couldn’t find anybody that would work so he figures that young females would be better. Why would young females be better? Probably because they are smart. More physical. Young women can move quicker and faster. Young women have the ability to catch ghosts. Ghosts would probably communicate with women better than men. Ray finds that young women are better at catching ghosts than men. That’s why he have chosen young women.

I don’t think young men as Ghostbusters would work ’cause they wouldn’t be a box office draw. Young women would be a box office draw. They would probably make the young women good looking and sexy.

Ghostbusters is a mix of comedy, action, horror and science-fiction. All mixed into one and “Ghostbusters 3” will still be the same. We will still get the same equipment and gadgets like the Proton packs, P.K.E. Meters, traps but I’m sure we’ll get a different design. I’m sure Ghostbusters uniform will still be the same. With new technology in filming these days, we will definitely get more CGI and all kinds of cool special effects with the new movie.

The new Ghostbusters will still be in the same style as the first one, just with young females instead. Having men being the heroes is getting old. It’s time for something different and something new. I think an all girl Ghostbusters is a nice idea and I’m willing to give it a chance. An all female Ghostbusters is already creating controversy. Fans are bashing this idea like crazy but honestly, I think they’ll like it when the actual movie comes out.

I think the girls have what it takes to put on an entertaining as hell Ghostbusters movie. I’m sure they’ll keep it funny and comical just like the original.

I’m sure Slimer and Stay Puff the Marshmellow Man will make an appearance. Hopefully, we get a few surprising cameos by characters of the original Ghostbusters film. It’ll be kind of sweet if Rick Moranis makes a cameo as Louis Tully. Maybe Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver) could make a cameo too.

I’m interested in seeing how they’re gonna pull this off. Sony and Dan Aykroyd seems committed with this project. They’re gonna move forward with it despite the mixed criticism. I’m glad “G3” is finally happening. Now that they got a director, they should start casting soon and it’ll be interesting who they’ll pick for new Ghosbusters.

I’m sure the new “Ghostbusters” will be a success and will be a box office smash. I think young women deserve this opportunity. Mr. Aykroyd is doing a good thing.

“Ghostbusters 3” will be an all female re-boot and will be directed by Paul Feig…

Due to the death of Harold Ramis, Ivan Reitman had to pull out of directing “Ghostbusters 3” out of respect for his friend. Now Sony have found a replacement director. Paul Feig will be directing the 3rd installment.

Dan Aykroyd will return as Dr. Ray Stantz but it’s looking like Bill Murray will not return. It is not yet known if Ernie Hudson will return as Winston Zeddemore.

As you will read in this article, the new Ghostbusters will be all female.

I actually dig the idea of all female Ghostbusters. What actresses will get the new roles???

I pick:

Michelle Rodriguez
Rhonda Rousey (UFC fame)
Jennifer Lawrence
Milla Jovovich

Sounds like a pretty good team to me!

Ivan Reitman is not directing “Ghostbusters 3” due to the passing of Harold Ramis…

Ivan Reitman, the man who directed the first two “Ghostbusters” has announced that he will not be directing the 3rd Ghostbusters due to the passing of his friend, Harold Ramis. Ivan feels that he cannot make the film without Harold because those two were an important part of the first two films. However, Ivan isn’t done with the film for good ’cause he is staying on as producer to help them. He’s going to help Sony replace a director. This is nothing personal for Ivan, he’s just doing this in honor of his friend, Harold. They still have a script for the film and Ivan hints that this movie will be more like the first one.

More on the story here:

http://www.deadline.com/2014/03/ghostbusters-movie-going-forward-without-ivan-reitman-sony/

Now that Ivan is not directing this and Harold is no longer with us, I have a feeling Bill won’t be doing it at all now. I still wouldn’t rule out Bill just yet though, he still has time to make a decision. I can’t blame Bill for being skeptical. He’s skeptical just like the rest of us. Bill just wants G3 to be just as good as the first one so he’s taking his time to make a decision which is good on him. Ya never know though, maybe Bill will have a change of heart and say “yes”. We’ll have to wait and see.

“Ghostbusters III” is still happening…

Look like Sony studios and Ivan Reitman are still committed to making “Ghostbusters III” despite the death of Harold Ramis. That’s okay. I’m all for them continuing on ’cause I’m pretty sure that’s what Harold would have wanted. He would have wanted them to move forward without him. They’ve been planning this movie for years and they just can’t cancel the project after all that hard work and money spent. Like the saying goes, “The show must go on”… the same for this film.

There is a final script written for this film but it’s gonna be re-written some due to Harold’s sudden passing. Welp, look like we’re gonna have a dead Ghostbuster in the film. Will Egon somehow make a cameo appearance as a CGI ghost? Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s what they’re going for.

The original Ghostbusters was only gonna be in this film briefly, anyways. This film was meant to pass the torch to younger Ghostbusters… that’s the idea for this film, I think.

Even though, Bill Murray has a part in “Ghostbusters III” it is still NOT yet known whether he wants in or not.

I know a “Ghostbusters III” is pretty debatable but I think a 3rd film deserves to happen. Give them a chance, ya know? “Ghostbusters 2” wasn’t a great film at all, and this trilogy deserves to end with a better film. I thought they did a great job with the video game. “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” was excellent stuff. I think they’ll do a good job with the 3rd film too.

Dan Aykroyd still loves the Ghostbusters. You can tell he has a lot of passion for this. He badly wants to get this movie made. Watch all of his interviews talking about Ghostbusters III. He’s pretty committed to this project too. With that being said, I would love GIII to happen. I’m intrigued on how they’re gonna pull this off.

Report: Dan Aykroyd on Ghostbusters 3, “We’re moving on, with or without Bill”…

Dan Aykroyd has said, he has had it. He seems a little fed up with Bill Murray refusing to respond on whether or not, he wants in on, Ghostbusters 3. For years now, Bill has been very critical about the film. He refuses to read the script and refuses to respond, on whether or not, he wants in to reprise his role as, Dr. Peter Venkman. Dan and the crew, has waited for Bill to respond. It’s been two years already, and Bill is still silent to this day. Well, they’ve given up on Bill, and they’re moving on with or without him.

They didn’t give up on Bill for good, however. If Bill suddenly changes his mind someday, and wants back in, they’ll always welcome him back.

Read what Dan has to say about it, here.

Bill hasn’t retired from acting. He’s still acting,  he just haven’t starred in any blockbuster films lately. It seems that he’s slowing down a bit. He’s aging, that’s probably what it is. I can understand Dan and the crew, moving on, but I can’t see a Ghostbusters movie, without Venkman. The film won’t feel right without that character. The Venkman character is what made the first two movies work to begin with.

I loved the first “Ghostbusters” film, didn’t care for the second one. Even if the second one wasn’t good, Venkman was still entertaining as hell like always. I hope Bill changes his mind. Would be cool if he’s in it. A cameo would be better than nothing, at least.

Report: Dan Aykroyd to resurrect the Blues Brothers but to the TV screen instead…

The Blues Brothers, first appeared in SNL as Elwood and Joliet Blues, played by Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. In 1980, The Blues Brothers had their first major motion picture titled, “The Blues Brothers”, played by the same actors, which is one of my favorite films of all times, by the way. After John Belushi’s death, Dan Aykroyd kept the Blues Brothers going by performing live in concerts. Then, the Blues Brothers had their second movie titled, “Blues Brothers 2000” with John Goodman taking over as Elwood’s partner and band mate.

Dan Aykroyd is planning to resurrect, The Blues Brothers, after a long hiatus in the entertainment business, but it will be for a television show instead of a third film. Judy Belushi, who is John’s widow is writing the script. Aykroyd and his team are shopping for networks and studios who might be interesting in working on this project. The story is about Jake and Elwood being released from jail and they search for their long lost father.

The Hollywood Reporter, reports.

Hmmmmm, judging by the show’s synopsis, sounds like it’s going to be taken place after the events of the first film. The first film ends with them being arrested and they perform in prison.

My question is, will Dan still play Elwood? Or will he pass the torch to a younger actor? We’ll know soon, I’m sure.

I love the Blues Brothers, especially the first movie, I love that film too much. I will buy that movie on Blu Ray sometime. It’s a classic.

Ghostbusters III, questions that needs answers…

While the original actors of Ghostbusters are aging, do you think they’ll still be able to play their characters well? If you played, “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” like I did, you’ll know that they still have what it takes to play their characters. They still have the voices down pretty well. If you don’t think they can, play the video game. You’d be surprised to hear yourself that they still got it. Even Bill Murray played Peter Venkmen well in the video game. I think they’ll do fine with the new film.

What I’m a little worried about is the script. I hope it won’t be another “Ghostbusters II”, that film was horrible. We need Slimer to return and hopefully Staypuff as well. As far as Vigo The Carpathian, I hope they don’t make him return ’cause that was a terrible villain.

We hope for a Ghostbusters film that is much like the first one. The first Ghostbusters film was a classic. I’ll always love that film so much. I’ll never get tired of it. What we need for “GIII” is a celebration of the first film. The Video Game did a pretty good job at that.

We want “GIII” to be scary as hell, along with the comedy mixed into it like the first one. We don’t want it to be a family film like the second movie was. I’m fine with the new young Ghostbusters taking over for III, I just want a good script and I want good casting with the young Ghostbusters.

Like I always say, I’m all for another Ghostbusters movies ’cause it deserves another film to close out the trilogy. There will probably be a new Ghostbusters trilogy after this for young Ghostbusters to take over and the original cast can retire after the 3rd movie.

Just like I hope Warner Bros. does a good job with Zack Snyder’s “Man Of Steel”, I hope Sony does a good job with “Ghostbusters III” as well.

Maybe the next film can be successful without Bill Murray, who knows. I’m not getting my hopes up. They need him. I’m sure Bill will respond to this soon, he’s just waiting for the right time ’cause he knows the media will be all over it. He’s making his careful decision and thinking things over. He may be a pain in the ass about it, but even Bill wants the next movie to be good like all of us. If you think about it, we are not alone, even Bill is worried about the next film.

I wish them luck on “Ghostbusters III”. Since they maybe start shooting next year, they’re going to start casting soon. We know for sure that Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Harold Ramis and Sigourney Weaver are returning…but we haven’t yet heard from Bill Murray and Rick Moranis. It would be great if everybody returns. Lets hope they make “GIII” a great film where we could all walk out of the theater with smiles on our faces.

Report: Dan Aykroyd says “Ghostbusters 3” will start shooting next year, with or without Bill Murray…

Dan Aykroyd, appeared on the “Dennis Miller” show and yep, you guessed it, they talked about, “Ghostbusters 3”. Dan explains they will start shooting next year, sometime in 2012. They still want Bill Murray to sign on, but Bill has never responded yet. Bill is still being difficult about the project. So whether Bill wants to do it or not, they don’t care. Sony studios is doing it with or without him.

Dan does explain what the main characters will be like for the next film. His character Ray is blind in one eye and can no longer drive the cadillac. Egon is too overweight that he can’t do anything anymore. They did this to explain the reason for new, “Ghosbusters”. They explained they need 3 young men and going for a female Ghostbuster this time around.

Dan reveals he wants Matthew Grey Gubler from, “Criminal Minds”, as one of the new Ghostbusters.

More on it, here.

Lets hope Rick Moranis returns as Louis Tully as well. Without Louis Tully, it won’t feel like a Ghostbusters movie anymore. Rick Moranis retired from Hollywood years ago, but who knows, maybe he will come back just for this one film.

I hope Bill says yes. If he’s not in this film at all, then I won’t bother with it. It’s not a Ghostbusters movie without Bill either. Lets hope and pray that Bill will respond to this soon.
