“Ghostbusters: The Video Game” is finally here!!!

The wait is finally over. “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” is finally on video game shelves everywhere. I will indeed be getting my copy tomorrow. I would get it today, but I have to cash my check from my job this week, then I’ll get it tomorrow afternoon.

Surprisingly, this game is getting so many great reviews online. Everyone is saying that this new Ghostbusters game is such a blast to play.

I’m really looking forward to it. Only thing though, I must beat, “Resident Evil 5” first, then I’ll start, “Ghostbusters” next. I’m glad the game is finally out.

“Ghostbusters – The Video Game” comes out in two weeks, just around the corner….

The Best Buy website says “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” comes out June 17th which is in two weeks. I know I’m definitely going to get it for sure, ’cause I’ve been anticipating to get this game ever since it was first announced. I hope the game don’t dissapoint and hope it don’t suck. I’m just a little worried that the creators of the game will make it too easy ’cause they’ll know that kids will be interested in it too.

So far, from what I’m seeing, the game looks a lot of fun to play. Check out a couple of gameplay clips from the game itself. The game is set a few years after “Ghostbusters 2” film.

Enjoy.

Report: Dan Aykroyd says, “Ghostbusters III” could start filming this year, but who will direct?

Dan Aykroyd, confirms the news that “Ghostbusters III” could start filming this winter. They tried to get Ivan Reitman to direct the 3rd film but he’s too busy producing other films. They said if Ivan turns down the opportunity to direct a third film, Harold Ramis, says he is game to directing the third film himself.

Bill Murray once gave the idea that he would like to see females become Ghostbusters in the new one, look like they are agreeing with Bill’s idea. Dan Aykroyd says he wants Alyssa Milano and Eliza Dushku to be the new female ghostbusting ass kickers.

I am loving the idea of hot babes being Ghostbusters!!! Great choices on Alyzza and Eliza. They haven’t been casted yet, they were just ideas thrown in by Dan Aykroyd, so hopefully these two gorgeous ladies will get confirmed for the film.

Who will be the new young male Ghostbusters? As long as they don’t get Robert Pattison, Chace Crawford, Shia Labeouf or Zac Efron, I’m happy.

I think they should go for Chris Pine from “Star Trek” and Seth Rogen maybe? Since “Ghostbusters” films are comedy too, Seth Rogen would be a perfect choice for a Ghostbuster to bring humor into it. Seth is not that old, he’s about 27 or something like that?

Glad that G3 is still moving forward.

Cool Video: “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” trailer is here!!!

Atari is releasing “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” and they already released the trailer!!! The game is coming out in June of 2009 for all video game systems. The trailer has the actual voice overs of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson.

Lets just hope that the game has a lot more action more than the storyline cut scenes. Lets also hope that the game will be difficult and challenging.

I’m so am looking forward to this game. I’m definitely picking it up for the PS3 when it comes out.

Report: “Ghostbusters” and “Chronicles of “Riddick” video games gets a new home at Atari…

Atari the longest running video game company created by Nolan Bushnell has bought the rights to release “The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena” and “Ghostbusters: The Video Game”. Both of these games used to be owned by Activision Blizzard but the company refused to release those two video games after they merged with Vivendi Games company which will happen later this summer.

“The Chronicles Of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena” will be the sequel and follow up to “Riddick’s: Escape at Butcher Bay”, “Dark Athena” will release this Spring. The Atari officials won’t comment on when “Ghostbusters: The Video Game” will release, but a source close to Atari says they are waiting to release the game next summer so the game can take part in celebrating the “25th Anniversary” of the original “Ghostbusters” film.

“The Chronicle’s of Riddick” video games were based upon the sci-fi/action adventure movies that starred Vin Diesel as Riddick.

Great news that the two games found a new home. I figure they would. While I am looking forward to the new “Ghostbusters” game which I will get if it ever comes out, I am also looking forward to the “Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena” also sounds very interesting.

Thought: We will hear from Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson soon on whether or not they will be down for Ghostbusters 3…

To my understanding Bill, Harold, Dan, and Ernie are still working on voice overs for the “Ghostbusters” video game. I’m sure we’ll hear from the gang soon on whether or not they will be casted for “Ghostbusters 3”.

I know Bill Murray has constantly denied of playing Peter Venkmen in a live action film again, but I’m sure he had a change of heart about it now that Ghostbusters 3 finally got the greenlight.

I’m sure we’ll hear from the 4 men soon, maybe next week or later this month or in the future. It’s either Columbia already asked them to star in the movie while they were still making the video game and they’re being secretive about it or they haven’t even asked them at all yet.

That Variety article said “they may” return to Ghostbusters 3 so that’s a sign, it’s a possibility Columbia already asked them. It’ll make sense if the 4 comes back to the live action movie they all agreed to do the video game. It’ll seem weird if they are in the video game and not in the movie, that is not good marketing for the video game.

I think Bill, Harold, Dan and Ernie will be in it for sure. It would be wrong if they weren’t in it. The movie would bomb without them. Of course, Dan Aykroyd would agree to be in it ’cause he and Harold has been fighting for a Ghostbusters 3 for many years and they’re dream finally happened! I’m sure Dan Aykroyd would give the “Office” writers lots of good story ideas for the next one as he has done in the first two.

BREAKING NEWS: I ain’t afraid of no ghost…Columbia gearing up for new Ghostbusters film, writers found….

Columbia pictures is now getting serious on bringing the Ghostbusters back to the big screen. My guess is that they finally decided to start work on a new film after the video game of the franchise is being made.

Columbia has signed Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky to write the script for the new “Ghostbusters” film. They are the producers of “The Office” TV series. Columbia says Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson could return as their original characters but it is said that the film will pass the torch to new ghost chasers.

Columbia is keeping plot ideas underwraps and keeping quiet whether or not this is a third film of the “Ghostbusters” movie franchise to make it a full trilogy.

The studios tried to greenlight a 3rd Ghostbusters before but it was difficult to do financially, they said it was impossible for the studio to make money off a third installment, now they say it is not an issue. They allow no more than 25% of first dollar gross out the door. Meaning that this is now good news of a possibility of a third film being made.

So does this mean that Peter, Ray, Winston and Egon will be training and teaching new Ghostbusters for the next film? Sounds like it to me. As long as the original actors are still in the movie whether they get a big role or not, I’ll go see it. Look like they’ll be training younger Ghostbusters and that sounds like the plot that Columbia is going for.

I hope this is a Ghostbusters 3 and hope Columbia still have Bill, Dan, Harold and Ernie star in it. I bet the new video game helped keep the Ghostbusters movie going forward.
