Paris Hilton announces new record deal with Lil Wayne’s record label, and yes, I’m actually very excited!

I’m not ashamed to admit that I loved Paris Hilton’s 2006 solo album that she released back in the day. I’m not afraid to admit that her hit, the “Stars Are Blind” was a killer song. That whole album she did was good. I’m not afraid to say it. Yes, Paris maybe a bit of a whack job. She may have her problems with drugs/alcohol. She maybe a reality star who is famous for being famous. She maybe full of plastic surgery now and all that stuff… but I actually like Paris Hilton. Always did. Now that she signed a new record contract, it’ll be interesting to see what she has in store for us with her music. She may not have any singing talent and may not have written her own music but who ever the songwriters are for her 2006 album was really good stuff. I still do like Paris to this day. Not sure what it is. Something about this chick. Since she’ll be under a hip hop label now; her next album will probably be a rap album. I hope not. I prefer the same sound she did with her 2006 album ’cause it was interesting songwriting, you’ll have to admit it. I’m looking forward to hearing what she’s going to come out with.

Get well soon, Lil Wayne? *sigh* but what about Morrisey???

I said the same thing in facebook, and will say the same thing here. I think it’s ridiculous how everyone wants to give their prayers and well wishes to Lil Wayne, yet, Morrisey gets ignored. That’s how today’s industry works. It’s more about “celebrity”, and the pop star status, these days. As some of you should know, rock singer, Morrisey, just canceled the rest of his North American tour ’cause of health problems. Morrisey has done this several times before, and it’s look pretty serious for him. I’m more worried about losing Morrisey, than Lil Wayne. I was a fan of The Smiths, and Morrisey’s solo material as well. The guy is a rock genius. Always underrated and overlooked. To hell with Lil Wayne. I can’t stand rap music.

Brock praises last night’s episode of SNL with Jeff Bridges!!!

So I stayed up late last night and watched the whole episode of SNL that Jeff Bridges hosted. I was impressed with the show. It was really good. Saturday Night Live used to suck balls, big time. Which is why I stopped watching for a long while, but SNL were on FIRE last night. It was such a good show, I wasn’t bored and they didn’t make me fall asleep. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time either. Jeff Bridges did a great job as expected. The Cookie Monster appearance was golden. I was expecting John Goodman to appear as Walter from the “Big Lebowski” movie but that didn’t happen sadly. Other than that, it was such a great show. The segments were really good. Especially the Miley Cyrus show which they made fun of her bong controversy, The Kardashian impersonators was a really good scene, and I liked the Weekend Update.

Best of all, I loved the Eminem and Lil Wayne performances. They were so good and amazingly tight. I’m not into rap music much but Eminem and Lil Wayne, wow, they put on quite the show. I hope Lil Wayne stays out of trouble and stays out of jail ’cause he is talented. He did better than Eminem honestly. Even though I like Eminem, it seems to me that Lil Wayne should have been the musical guest alone. Rap music being performed with real instruments and a real back up band? That’s why that performance gets my respect. You can like rap music or hate it, you can’t deny the talent in Lil Wayne. There’s something special about that guy. That’s why Lil Wayne is in the headlines all the time.

This is such a great performance, I had goosebumps watching it. The performance was haunting. Congrats to Lourne Michaels and SNL gang, keep up the great work! Proud of you guys! 🙂
