The line you quote was a fictional woman who was written to be an extreme example in an opinion piece about relationships in 1972. If you read the “rape essay,” you probably know that, but are just using this for shock value.

Give me the name of almost any human being, and I will be able to find one thing they have said or written somewhere that, when taken out of context, would make them an impossibility for some people to consider them for president.

“I think the world is being much helped by the suffering of the poor people.” Would you elect the person who said that? Would you vote for Mother Teresa?

Actually debate Sanders’ policies, don’t share one line from 43 years ago and pretend it is somehow the whole and sum of the person.
