Report: From being a criminal in videogames to being a real life criminal, it’s only a game folks…

Since the game’s release yesterday of Grand Theft Auto IV, controversy at the videogames stores has already started to heat up. People buying the game in the long lines of the videogame stores decided to go from videogame fantasy to being a real life scum bag criminal….

A hooded man buying the game stabbed a passer by in the head and neck, about a 100 people in line witnessed the attack. The onlookers at the line actually thought it was a stunt or an act to bring up hype and excitement for the videogame but turned out it was the real thing after the stabbed man fell to the ground and rushed to the hospital.

It was a nasty scene, there was blood everywhere, as if it really happened from the videogame in real life. The 23 year old victim suffered stabbed wounds in the head and back, he was sent to the hospital and released after the injuries weren’t serious.

And this next story, a man was arrested after attacking a few employees of the videogame store and fleeing with several copies of Grand Theft Auto IV. San Diego police chased after the thief by helicopter in real life just like it would happen in the videogame.

Come on kids. This is just a videogame. Like the saying goes “Don’t Try This At Home”. You don’t want to become a vicious criminal in real life because you’ll risk your life of police gunning you down.

While you may win fighting off the police in the videogame that doesn’t mean you will be successful in fighting off police in real life.

Today’s the Day for Grand Theft Auto IV!!!!

Today is the big day. A big day for videogamers out there. I’m definitely getting my copy of “Grand Theft Auto IV” this afternoon.

I don’t know if I’ll play this game right away tonight though. I still need to beat “God of War: Chains of Olympus” for the PSP and I’m at the very end of the game, just about ready to fight the final boss. So I’ll try to finish God of War tonight before I start GTA IV.

When I play videogames, I like to play one videogame at a time, I like to finish the whole thing before I go on to the next. I won’t give up until the game is done.

In the early 90’s when I was a kid, I never really collected video game consoles much because that’s when PC CD-ROM games were popular back in the old days. I used to play a lot of CD-ROM games, but now that videogames has officially taken over CD-ROM games, that’s how I got into regular videogame consoles.

I’m looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of GTA IV today and can’t wait to get it. I’m sure Best Buy will be selling tons of copies all day today so they definitely won’t run out.

Thought: “God Of War: Chains of Olympus” brief review…

So I’ve been playing the videogame “God of War: Chains of Olympus” for the small PSP Sony handheld system. I’m at the very end of the game already, I just need to defeat a bunch of enemies before I head to the final and last boss. Most of this game was pretty easy and simple but the end of the game has gotten very tough and such a pain in the ass.

I would like to say that this game is absolutely amazing though, it’s one of the best action/adventure games I ever played. It tells a great story. So much fun to play with cool weapons and cool moves. This game is only available for the PSP for now, I’m sure they’ll make a version for the PS3/Xbox down the road.

If they do make a version for the PS3, I would still buy the same game ’cause I would sure like to play this on a bigger TV screen. I was hoping to beat this game before Grand Theft Auto IV comes out but it looks like I’m not going to. Grand Theft Auto IV comes out tomorrow. Thankfully I have a day off of work tomorrow, so I will go to Saratoga to go to Best Buy.

I have a feeling that Best Buy will be mobbed and packed like hell. Because April 29th is a big release day with Grand Theft Auto IV, Madonna’s “Hard Candy”, and Neil Diamond’s new album. I hope and pray that Grand Theft Auto IV won’t be sold everywhere once I get to Best Buy and the Wilton Mall, that will suck and I would be pissed if it’s sold out that quick. I’m gonna try to get to Best Buy as early as possible though hopefully before the store even opens. I’m sure there’ll be a line of people waiting for the store to open anyways.

Report: IGN says “Grand Theft Auto IV” is hands down the best game since the last 10 years…

Check out this awesome review of GTA IV that IGN wrote about it…

They say this game is the American dream, and the best game since the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time…

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/869/869381p1.html

Here’s a video review of it too:

Oh my, I’m probably gonna play this game for hours and days until I complete it for good. This game will make me forget the other games that I own. I’m getting psyched for GTA IV. After I beat the game, I also plan on trying the multiplayer where you can play against other people online.

I will be getting GTA IV for the PS3 of course, and I’m sure the graphics of GTA IV will be better on PS3 than the Xbox.

I can’t wait to get it Tuesday!

REMINDER: 6 Days away for Grand Theft Auto IV…

Aight, kids. It’s just 6 days away for some ass kicking, car stealing, wreckless driving, gun shooting, resisting arrests, getting laid with hookers and strippers, and hunting down the drug dealers, and the mob. Grand Theft Auto IV is released this Tuesday, only 6 days left.

This could be the biggest selling game in history and could create a lot of controversy in the media. There is even an article in Variety where it could bully the media. Meaning this game could sell out hollywood movies and music sales too. That’s how big this game is gonna be.

I hope it’ll be easy for me to grab a copy ’cause I have a feeling the game will be sold out quick everywhere. I’ll try to get it as early as I can on Tuesday. I really can’t wait. Grand Theft Auto IV is the main reason I bought a Playstation3, of course I’ll play other games on it too, but Grand Theft Auto IV is my holy grail for it. Be ready for this game. It will be intense and it will probably be the best GTA game ever made.

Report: The Bourne Conspiracy…another game to add to my wishlist…

There is a Jason Bourne videogame coming out for the PS3/Xbox that IGN is reporting. It is titled “The Bourne Conspiracy”. It is being released June 3rd.

See here for a preview and a write up about the game:

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/867/867814p1.html

Not sure if Matt Damon himself does the voice over of his own character in the videogame but it doesn’t matter, the game still looks a lot of fun.

I’ll probably get it.

NEW: Worlds Collide…Dc Comics vs. Mortal Kombat…

There’s a new video game coming out for the PS3, Xbox. It’s a game titled “Worlds Collide”, a fighting game which is “DC Comics vs. Mortal Kombat”. Ya know, DC Comics fighting off Mortal Kombat characters. As you see in this trailer, you see Batman fighting Subzero. The game is coming out sometime this fall, not sure what’s the exact release date. But the game looks absolutely awesome and this is another game I look forward to buying for sure.

More info on the game here:

http://www.worldscollide.com/

Wow. Every DC Comics superhero vs. Mortal Kombat, fuckin’ awesome dude!

Superman vs. Scorpion? The Flash vs. Raiden? The Green Lantern vs. Johnny Cage? Wonder Woman vs. Sonya?

Sounds like a hell of a game! 🙂

One thing to think about, DC Comics doesn’t own the copyrights to Superman anymore so Superman “may” or “may not” be in the game since the Siegel’s now own the Superman character officially. Remember, them Superman estate rights that the Siegels won the battle over, they said any future projects with “Superman” may be in danger. The website doesn’t say if Superman is in the game or not but I’ll post more info when the news come along.

Report: Grand Theft Auto IV expected to break record in sales…

TakeTwo the company who made “Grand Theft Auto IV” (Rockstar is still with the series) has made their prediction on videogame sales, they really think this game will be a big seller and could break $400 million in the first week the game is out. Grand Theft Auto IV will be released April 29th.

THAT’S TWO WEEKS AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check out this interesting article in Variety:

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117984089.html?categoryid=1009&cs=1

I’m sure the game will be sold out everywhere quickly on April 29th, so I’m thinking about pre-ordering at the mall before then.

This will be the biggest selling game in history.

I can’t wait to get it. It’s going to be a badass game!!!!

Thought: Why do people attack Guitar Hero videogames?

I have noticed a lot of negativity and hatred toward this videogame by musicians and guitarists that play the real thing. Basically because they don’t want a fake toy taking over the industry of the real guitar. If you honestly think that the real guitar has been taken over by a videogame, then you’re absolutely wrong.

Like it or not, Guitar Hero is the next big thing in guitar playing. Sure, it’s a fake toy being runned by batteries but the game has inspired young kids to pick up the real guitar. Imagine if your son or daughter was playing Guitar Hero and they say to themselves, “Gee, I want to play the real guitar and be a real guitar hero when I grow up.” Guitar Hero is a success because it gets kids out of violent games like first person shooting stuff and Grand Threft Auto games. Plus, it introduces kids to rock music.

The game is not only for kids, adults play Guitar Hero too. Even profesional musicians in the national industry from Slash to Joe Perry even play the game (they wouldn’t be part of the Guitar Hero games if they hated it, believe me). I’ve read an interview with them Slash and Joe Perry in Guitar World with Guitar Hero cover story, Slash and Joe Perry both admitted they suck at the game even though they play good guitar for real. The game is also a good marketing tool to get bands music out there.

I really enjoy Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. I haven’t been playing it that much since I’m trying to beat the other games for the PSP, but I will get back to Guitar Hero III soon. I’m not even good at the game at all, I’m pretty horrible at “Guitar Hero III”. The new Guitar World magazine out now has a cover story on the videogame, they try to defend it by inspiring videogamers to get into the real thing and they teach you how.

Guitar Hero is a great game for the whole family. If you’re not much of a music fan, the game will get you into music. It’s a good thing for everyone. Those who hate on the game are probably coming from people who never played it before, just give it a try, and I assure you, it’ll change your mind and you’ll become immediately addicted to the game. Just because you already play guitar does not mean you’ll be good at the videogame both are totally different.

I’m looking forward to picking up the “Guitar Hero: Aerosmith” when that comes out. I’m definitely getting it. Give the Guitar Hero games a chance. Even if  you’re already a musician, the game can even give you musical inspiration, it did with me. It helped me play better lead guitar solos on the real guitar for sure. Guitar Hero is great and will change the world of music.
