Kind of sucks. The score was amazing in the film. Oh well.

This does give a good sign that the Academy will nominate “The Dark Knight” for everything else, like for “Best Picture”, “Best Director”, “Best Visual Effects”, “Best Costuming”, etc.

“The Dark Knight” will be huge for the Oscars. It’ll probably sweep everything.

  1. My prediction is that it will take some Oscars for technical stuff like lighting, sound, or makeup, I really don’t see a comic book movie taking any Oscar of importance. Since the people doing the voting are either queer men or straight women, only arty chick flicks get Oscars, crappy stuff about “relationships” and “emotions.” When is the last time a bitching action flick got a best actor, best movie, etc.? Did Rambo Stallone ever get one? The Governator? Keanu Reeves? Chris Reeves? Steve Reeves? No!

  3. I really think “the Dark Knight” could have a possibility of getting nominated for Best Picture for sure. The film is Oscar worthy enough. If you think the film isn’t Oscar worthy for Best Picture, then you’ve probably haven’t even seen it. A comic book movie never won an Oscar before sure, but it sure don’t hurt for “first time”. “The Dark Knight” winning for Best Picture would go down in history. I think it’ll get the nomination, mark my words, mate.

I personally think “The Dark Knight” is one of the best movies ever made in many years, not just for the Heath Ledger performance, but the all around film itself is just beautiful work, the film is a fucking masterpiece, I love it to death.

In answer to your question if Stallone ever won an Oscar, yes he did as a matter of fact. Not for Rambo, but the first Rocky won for Best Picture in 1976. So Stallone does have history with the Oscars.

  5. ACTUALLY, he was only nominated, as was the movie itself. Someone else won it, who I didn’t even bother to look up.
