Hate to admit this but I’m actually happy with this year’s Oscar nominations, I’m gonna have to watch…

I haven’t been watching the Oscars for the past several years or more ’cause of politics of course… plus the Oscar shows keep getting worse and worse every year. I can’t help but admit that the nominations this year are quite impressive. Nominations going to the right people this time.

As for the “Best Picture” categories…. I’ve only seen “Black Panther”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Green Book”, “Roma” and “A Star Is Born”. I haven’t seen “Black Klansman”, “The Favourite”  and “Vice” yet. I’ve seen pretty much most of the “Best Picture” nominations; however, I only liked “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Green Book” and “A Star is Born”. I didn’t like “Roma” and “Black Panther” too much.

I’m gonna have to watch the Oscars this year ’cause I’m curious on what would win Best Picture. The Best Picture win will probably go to either “Green Book”, “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “A Star Is Born”. If it goes to “Black Panther” and it wouldn’t surprise me that it would end up getting the win then that would piss me off so much.  Simply because “Black Panther” doesn’t deserve to get treated like it’s the best movie ever made ’cause it wasn’t all that great at all. Now that “Black Panther” is streamable on Netflix, maybe I’ll give it another viewing but I’m sure my opinion on that movie will stay the same.

I do hope Bradley Cooper or Viggo Mortesen will win for “Best Actor in a leading role” but that award will probably go to Remi Malek which I will be happy with that ’cause Remi was really good in “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

I really hope Lady Gaga will win for Best Actress for “A Star Is Born” ’cause she was really in that movie but I have a feeling that the lady who plays Roma will end up winning that one instead.

As for “Actor in a Supporting Role”, I’m happy that Sam Elliot got nominated for an Oscar for the first time in his career. That dude has been acting in film for decades and he never got Oscar nominated once until now. Him getting an Oscar nomination was long overdue. I don’t think he’ll win that award but it’s awesome he got nominated. His role in “A Star Is Born” was really good so the nomination was worthy. I predict Mahershala Ali from the “Green Book” movie will get the win for this one.

I’m gonna have to watch the Oscars this year. Yeah, I know the show will continue with its liberal political bullshit and their Donald Trump bashing, but I don’t care about that. I want to find out how many awards “Green Book”, “A Star Is Born” and “Bohemian Rhapsody” is gonna win this year ’cause I love those three movies. They were the best films of 2018 for sure.

The Oscars did surprisingly good with the nominations this year.

Interesting how I’ve went from having no problem with celebrities to really despising the hell out of them…

I know I am a huge movie and music buff. Love both movies and music; however, I used to have no problem with famous people who give us all of this entertainment they do. I used to try to be supportive of all them ’cause I liked their art whether in movies or music. As a matter of fact, my blogs used to be blogging about movies, music and celebrities but I happen to give that up — quickly changing my blogging direction to mostly political discussion. I’m glad I did that too.

Celebrities used to be likeable people in the past but now no one cares for them anymore. Basically because of their die-hard liberal politics and them being Obama supporters. I totally blame this on Obama all the way ’cause the way he ran his presidency was all about Hollywood and celebrity. Obama thought he was a celebrity, that’s why he did what he did. Like I said in a blog post before, Obama used the power of celebrity to get political messages through people. That’s why Obama mostly awarded “celebrities” with the Presidential Freedom Awards and that’s why Obama mostly awards celebrities through the Kennedy Center Honors. That’s why Obama appeared on a lot of late night talk shows and things like that. It’s why Michelle appeared on Ellen a lot.

This is why most of Hollywood and the music industry are very liberal with their politics ’cause Obama made it like that. That was probably a huge part of how Obama got elected twice ’cause celebrities helped him.

Celebrities used to be cool in the old days but now I despise all of them except for a few. There’s a few good celebrities left that are actually cool. I still think Sly Stallone is awesome. Sly’s politics is mixed but at least he’s smart enough to keep politics out of his career. There’s a few other celebs who I have no problem with either. Other than that, I don’t really care about famous people anymore like I used to.

It’s really sad to see all these talented people that I used to like and admire but they’ve turned into nothing but liberal hacks: Stephen King, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, George Clooney (yeah, I used to watch a lot of Clooney’s movies but I’m done with him now) and so much more to list.

Thank god for Trump. Finally we have a president who doesn’t give a shit about celebrities.

You sure you want to watch the Oscars tomorrow night? It’s gonna be full of Trump bashing and liberal politics throughout the show. Even though there will be mostly Trump bashing tomorrow there will also be celebrities begging for rights for women, transgenders, Muslims, refugees, illegal immigrants, etc. blah blah blah blah… you get the deal. Sad ’cause I’ve been watching the Oscars every year for a pretty long time. I’m gonna try to watch it tomorrow night but if the politics get out of hand then it’s time to watch something else.

What’s wrong with Travolta kissing Scar Jo on the cheek?

The internet seems to be mad at John Travolta for giving Scarlett Johansson a kiss on the cheek. The kiss on the cheek is no big deal. Just a “peck”, that’s all it is and sure enough, the internet is calling Travolta a creep. Can you blame Travolta? I can’t. I mean who wouldn’t wanna give Scarlett a peck on the cheek? I would!

On top of that, there is nothing wrong with giving women a peck on the cheek ’cause I do it all the time whenever I go out. Whenever I go out to a band show, party or a bar and if there’s women around… I’ll have no problem giving them a peck on the cheek. You know what? Most of the time, women don’t mind it and they don’t care. They “love it”. If they didn’t love it, they would let you know by pushing you away or giving you a slap across the face but most of them won’t do that. They would usually give you a smile and look at you shyly giving you signs that they admired your confidence. It’s called being the “alpha male”.

You don’t wanna give random women a peck on the cheek, of course. It’s okay if you do it to women you know or if you just met her for the first time and have been talking to her for a while is fine too. Most of them won’t care and they like the attention of being “loved” anyways.

I think people just attack Travolta out of jealousy ’cause they wish they could kiss Scar Jo too. Right? Admit it, y’all!

My Oscar predictions for 2014…

Well, the Oscar nominations for this year are out and as expected, “Gravity”, and “American Hustle”, scored the most nominations. I have seen both movies in the theater and while both movies are fantastic, I think, “Gravity” will win big this year.

Of course, there are a lot of snubs and it’s interesting that George Clooney got the snub for “Gravity” as I thought he was the best part of the film. The Oscars snubbing Clooney? Wow. They hardly ever do that. That’s okay though. Clooney isn’t worried about it as he already is an Oscar winner for his film, “Syriana” and I’m sure he will get nominated for acting roles again in the future. He might have a chance to get nominated for “The Monuments Men”.

I’ve noticed that “Lone Survivor” did end up making a few nominations at this years Oscars after all but only the smaller categories… it only got nominated for best Sound mixing/editing. It got the snub for everything else.

I don’t agree with Ellen Degeneres hosting the Oscars again ’cause I can’t stand that annoying woman.

Anyhow, here are my predictions for this years Oscars:

BEST PICTURE: Gravity

BEST ACTOR: Chiwetel Ejiofor “12 Years A Slave” (I’ve never seen the film yet but looks real good)

BEST ACTRESS: Sandra Bullock, “Gravity”

ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE: Barkhad Abdi “Captain Phillips” (Haven’t seen “Captain Phillips” either but want to)

ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE: Jennifer Lawrence, “American Hustle”

ANIMATED FEATURED FILM: “Frozen” (Another film I haven’t seen but want to)

BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY: Gravity

COSTUME DESIGN: American Hustle

DIRECTING: Alfonso Cuaron “Gravity”

FILM EDITING: Gravity

MUSIC ORIGINAL SCORE: Gravity

MUSIC ORIGINAL SONG: “Ordinary Love” by U2 (if they won at the Golden Globes, they’ll win at the Oscars too)

PRODUCTION DESIGN: Gravity

SOUND EDITING: Gravity

SOUND MIXING:  Gravity

VISUAL EFFECTS: Gravity

WRITING ADAPTED SCREEN PLAY: 12 Years A Slave

WRITING ORIGINAL SCREEN PLAY: Her

I hate award shows but I like the Oscars. I watch it every year.

Report: The Oscars will include James Bond tribute in celebration for 50th Anniversary…

The Academy announced today, that the 85th Annual Oscars show this year will feature a 50th Anniversary tribute for the James Bond franchise. Now that a James Bond tribute has been confirmed, it’s looking more and more likely that “Skyfall” could land a lot of nominations for the Oscars.

More on the story, here.

I know this doesn’t confirm a “Best Picture” nomination, just a possibility for now. I can see it happening though. “Skyfall” is a really good movie. It’s definitely the best Bond movie ever made.

As for the 10 films that will get nominated for “Best Picture” at the Oscars this year. It might look like this, just my prediction:

Lincoln
Django Unchained
Skyfall
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
Flight
Argo
The Master
Moonrise Kingdom
Zero Dark Thirty
Les Miserables

I think those films definitely has a possibility getting the Best Picture, nod. As for what film I think is going to win Best Picture, I really really really hope, “Skyfall”, gets it, ’cause that would be amazing if it got the win. Bond winning Best Picture which never happened before, will be history making. If “Skyfall” gets snubbed, that’s okay ’cause the rest of the movies deserve it too.

The only films on that list I haven’t seen yet are “Flight”, “Argo”, “The Master”, “Zero Dark Thirty”, and “Les Miserables” (which I hope to see soon).

Report: And your host for the 85th Annual Academy Awards is… Seth McFarlane!!!

Seth McFarlane, is not only well known for creating the “Family Guy”, which is a cartoon series that all of us love, he is a man of many different talents. He is also a musician and singer, so I’m sure the Academy wanted him ’cause he would be entertaining for a funny song and dance musical. He is a talented guy. I enjoy the “Family Guy” like most people, I try to watch it when I get around to it. It’s a funny as hell show.

See the Academy’s Press Release about it, here.

Finally! A good host for the Oscars, other than having Steve Martin or Billy Crystal, all the damn time! Hopefully Seth, stays committed to hosting the show and won’t back out. I know the Oscars have had trouble trying to find a host the last few years.

It’s too early for Oscar nomination predictions, but I do have a feeling that “The Master” or Spielberg’s “Lincoln” will score the most nominations. It’s going to be a big year for Spielberg again.

Hear Seth singing in the video below.

Thought: Media frenzy over Angelina Jolie’s leg…

I don’t get the media frenzy over Angelina Jolie’s leg, her right leg pose on the red carpet, which the internet have been all over since the day of the Oscars. It’s still being talked about.

I’ve been a die hard fan of Angie ever since her “Hackers” and “Cyborg 2” days, back when she was just a young girl. I can tell you that this wasn’t the first time she’s done this. In fact, she’s done sexual things over the years that were even crazier than the leg pose.

The leg pose at the Oscars, I believe, was just a hint that she still has the bad girl side of her. She used to be a bad girl and crazy in her younger years. Google search her photos and you would see what I mean.

Women do this stuff all the time, when they wear dresses like that, so what’s the big deal? The press would do anything just to get the internet going.

Oscar Predictions for this Sunday…

Oscar predictions for this Sunday, I haven’t seen most of the movies this year but these are just my guesses that will win:

Best Picture – “The Descendants” or “Hugo”
Actor in a Leading Role – George Clooney for “the Descendants”
Actress in a Leading Role – Michelle Williams for “My Week With Marilyn” or Rooney Mara for “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”
Actor in a Supporting Role – Nick Nolte for “Warrior”
Actress in a Supporting Role – Octavia Spencer for “The Help”
Animated Feature Film – “Rango”
Directing: Alexander Payne for “The Descendants”
Writing (Adaptive Screenplay): “Moneyball” (because of Aaron Sorkin)
Writing (Original Screenplay): “Midnight in Paris” by Woody Allen

I remember, I once said Nick Nolte was snubbed from the Oscars, but I looked at the Nominations list again and saw him on there. I must of missed it, someone should have told me!

I hate most award shows, but the Oscars I like to watch. It’s pretty much the only award show I enjoy more than the others. Looking forward to the Oscars, Sunday night. I’ll be DVR’ing the “Walking Dead” while watching it.
