The Life and Career of Angelina Jolie part II

After the major success of “Wanted”, it is now official that Angelina Jolie has turned herself into a big action movie star. Could she line herself right up there along Sly Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger? As a matter of fact, she just did. She is now considered the queen of action films. Look at all the action movies she has done that were pretty big hits in the box office: “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider”, “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider 2: the Cradle of Life”, “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”, and “Gone In 60 Seconds”.

Those are all action films she has done that made pretty high amount of money. When she does the sad drama movies, seems like no one cares for that. Everyone sees her as an action star, not a drama star. She needs to keep doing more action films. Since Angelina Jolie is my favorite actress that I’m a die hard fan of and I’m a die hard fan of Sly Stallone, I always wanted to see Angelina star in a movie with Sly. Angie and Sly starring together would shatter box office records indeed. Angelina and Sly teaming up really needs to happen soon. No, not Sly and Angie in a buddy cop romance movie, there’s too many of those. Just Angie and Sly teaming up to beat down criminals and partner up is good enough.

Keep doing more action films Angie. This is proof that action movies is your genre.

Report: “Wall-E” beats “Wanted” in Box Office this weekend…

It was quite a competition in the box office this weekend between two huge movies. One was Pixar’s “Wall-E” an animated movie about a robot and the other was the action film “Wanted” starring Angelina Jolie. Both films pretty much broke world records in sales, however “Wall-E” beat out “Wanted” stealing the no. 1 spot this weekend. “Wall-E” made 62.5 million while “Wanted” made 51.1 million.

While “Wanted” didn’t make no. 1 it is still a huge hit, so that’s great news for Angie. This is Angie’s biggest hit in a long time. I plan to see “Wanted” this week on a day off of work.

I do want to see “Wall-E” too but I’ll wait for DVD on that one.

Actress Helena Bonham Carter who is also the current wife of film director Tim Burton maybe getting a role in “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins”. Her character in the film is kept under wraps but they say she may be getting a small role. It wouldn’t surprise me if she’s playing Sarah Connor, it could be possible. Anyway, if they are going to use Sarah Connor for the new T4, I would rather get Lena Heady from the TV series.

Whose Side Are You On: Clash of the Titans vs. War of Gods…

There’s a controversial feud with film makers battling between the “Clash of the Titans” remake and original film “War of Gods” which are both Greek mythology films. It’s Warner Bros. vs. Relatively media, fighting over which film to start production first. Warner Bros is remaking “Clash of the Titans” which will be directed by the same man who made the new “The Incredible Hulk” movie Louis Letterier. “Clash of the Titans” is a 1981 Greek mythology fantasy film, a film about Persues on a journey to battle Medusa and the Kraken to save the Princess Andromeda.

“War Of Gods” is an original film directed by Tarsem Singh and will be made by Relatively Media. As stated above, they are at war on which Greek Mythology film to be made first. “War of Gods” plot revolves around a young warrior prince named Theseus which he forms his own army to battle against another army of demons and titans.

Both can not be made and released at the same time because they don’t want two Greek mythology films competing with each other box office wise. Warner Bros. greenlighted “Clash of the Titans” right after they hired “The Incredible Hulk” director.

What film should I think get made first? Hmmm, this may surprise some of you but I’m gonna go with “War of Gods”.

I don’t even want a “Clash Of the Titans” remake. The original 1981 film is one of my favorite films of all times, leave the original right where it is. “Clash of the Titans” remake should not be made ’cause it’s gonna suck, we all know Warner Bros. is gonna make “Clash of the Titans” remake full of CGI effects and make it a popcorn film. While I have a feeling Warner Bros. will win to get this made first because of how powerful of a company they are, I feel this is a pointless remake. It’ll turn out to be a popcorn action family film.

“War of Gods” sounds very good! Sounds like “War of Gods” won’t be a family film, it’ll be more adult oriented. Maybe “Gladiator” or “Braveheart” style with “War of Gods” if you know what I mean. I would want “War of Gods” get made first. The film is already sparking my interest while I have no interest in the “Clash of the Titans” remake.

Report: Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan in for “Red Sonja” remake…

Robert Rodriguez had been confirmed to direct and actress Rose McGowan has been confirmed to star the leading character in the upcoming remake of “Red Sonja”. “Red Sonja” is the remake of a 1985 fantasy film that starred Brigitte Nielsen and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Rose McGowan herself was the one that wanted the film made because she loved the script too much that she handed it over to her longtime husband Robert Rodriguez. The film makers plan to get it released sometime in 2010.

USA Today reports:

I wonder who will get the role of Arnold’s character Kalidor? Could it even be Arnold himself? Will Arnold reprise that character again? Who knows, Arnold maybe done being governor by the time filming starts production so it could be possible that Rodriguez would want him.

The Life and Career of Angelina Jolie…

So you may ask…how does she do it? How did Angelina Jolie go from a wild crazy and sexual chick back in her younger years to a big superstar mom? Is her relationship with Brad Pitt responsible for making her a big superstar? WRONG!

Angelina Jolie has always been a huge superstar in entertainment media way before she started dating Brad Pitt. Before “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” as pictured above, she wasn’t that well known. Before “Tomb Raider” she was doing all kinds of low budget films that no one even know about. Films like “Gia”, “Foxfire”, “Hackers”, “Pushing Tin”, etc. She started becoming a big name when she landed a role in “The Bone Collector” and “Girl Interupted”. But when she signed on to do “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” the whole world knows her now.

Brad Pitt is not responsible for her fame. She did it on her own without the help of anyone. She didn’t care if a movie she does bombs or if it’s a hit, she’s doing it for the love of acting. It was her father Jon Voight that got her started in acting, she had her first role as a child when she starred alongside Jon Voight in her debut of a film titled “Looking To Get Out”. She’s just like Drew Barrymore. Angelina has been acting in films ever since she was a little girl just like Drew.

Angelina had a long marriage with fellow actor/musician Billy Bob Thornton, during her relationship with him, she was still the wild crazy and sexual woman. But now she’s with Brad Pitt, Angelina quickly changed into this supernice and friendly mother instead of this wild person she used to be.

The truth is, she never changed. She always had been herself from day 1. She always had been a world traveler and always been a crazy and sexual person. The media had always tried to make a big story out of her because she is the daughter of legenary actor Jon Voight. So to say that Brad Pitt helped her become a different person is pretty laughable. She’s a powerful woman because she’s one of the most sexiest actresses in Hollywood today. She’s a talented actress that can play anything that throws at her.

I’m looking forward to seeing “Wanted”, I’ll be seeing that one too of course. Glad she’s finally got an action movie role. Hopefully she’ll still be on for “Tomb Raider 3” if they ever plan to do a third one.

Report: “The Dark Knight” pays tribute to Heath Ledger in rolling end credits…

The Associated Press exclusively reports that “The Dark Knight” end credits will pay tribute to Heath Ledger and to the stuntman that was killed in a car wreck while filming. “The Dark Knight” arrives in theaters July 18th, so when you watch the movie make sure you stick through the credits to see, “In memory of our friends Heath Ledger & Conway Wickliffe” across the screen, I’m sure the tribute will show when the credits are done rolling.

Kudos! I’m glad they’re doing this!

I’m so stoked for “The Dark Knight”, I know it will be an amazing movie and it probably will end up being the best film all year long.

Rumours speculated that Madonna was having marriage troubles with her film making husband Guy Ritchie, turns out the rumours are true, and Madonna wants a divorce. She is seeking advice from the same divorce lawyer who represented Paul McCartney with his long battle against Heather Mills.

FOXNews reports:

Madonna is soon to be single again, who will she hook up with next? Iggy Pop?

Iggy Pop and Madonna would be one weird pair.

Thought: Almost time for the Dark Knight!

The wait is almost over! July 18th is just around the corner! It’s getting closer folks! I for one can’t wait to see “The Dark Knight”, this film will obviously pound “Iron Man” to the ground. We all know that. “The Dark Knight” will indeed change superhero films forever.

I’m already feeling it that it could be the best superhero film ever made. The way a Batman movie truly is supposed to be.

Looking forward to seeing this film.
