Video: Nita Strauss meets her guitar hero, Jason Becker for the first time…

Nita Strauss is a young guitarist who is not all that famous yet but she’s getting up there. You’ve probably heard of her. She was the guitarist for the all-female tribute band, The Iron Maidens and she was the touring guitarist for Alice Cooper during his 2014 tour so like I said, she’s not all that famous yet when she should be. She’s a talented guitarist who deserves bigger recognition.

Well Nita’s boyfriend surprised her by setting up a surprise meeting with guitar virtuoso, Jason Becker who is one of her heroes. Before she arrived at Jason’s house, she never expected it and she had no idea where she was going at first. When she entered Jason’s house, she was of course, surprised and very happy. Jason even talked her into playing guitar for him for a little bit and she did. Best of all, she didn’t play on her own guitar… Jason gave her permission to pick any one of his guitars she wanted to play in his house so she picked one out and jammed on it.

This is a pretty cute video and it put a smile on my face as I’m sure it will do the same to you. Her boyfriend is a good guy for that and this is how you treat your women. This is a day that Nita is never gonna forget, for sure!

Video: Lemmy Kilmister walks off in midsong after realizing he’s not feeling well…

Could the reason that Lemmy is having health problems lately is ’cause of years of smoking & drinking? Either that or he’s getting too worn out for doing so much work in music over the years? I’d say a little bit of both, ya know?

Lemmy’s been making studio albums and performing live full time with Motorhead since the 70’s and the work is finally getting to him. The workload will overwhelm you at some point. I understand your love for music and why some musicians can’t stop but you should take some time off, ya know?

I think it’s time for Lemmy to hang it up. Get some rest and relax for a while but he probably won’t, though. The man is a workhorse and music is his passion.

I do love Motorhead, though. They are one of my favorite bands and can’t wait for their next album this year.

Video: Call me crazy but I actually dig the new Rihanna song, “Bitch Better Have My Money”…

I’m not ashamed to say that I actually dig Rihanna’s music. Like I repeatedly stated many times, I’m not against all pop music ’cause some of it is actually pretty good. I do have one of her albums on physical CD, I think which is “Good Girl, Gone Bad” which is an album that I like. It’s the only album I own of hers but will get around to listening to her other albums on Apple Music soon.

Sometimes I like pop music ’cause you should listen to that stuff while you workout. This kind of music helps pump you up and get you motivated in the gym, ya know? Not all mainstream pop music is bad. It can actually be fun music if you take the time and actually listen to it. I don’t dig Lady Gaga and Katy Perry anymore but I do like Rihanna, Iggy Azalea, Taylor Swift and maybe others. People shouldn’t put pop music to shame ’cause some of it can be good.

Maybe I should listen to all of Kiss’s music, I probably will…

Over the years, I wasn’t much of a fan of that band, Kiss. I was mostly into the Ace Frehly era. That’s the era that I preferred but I listened to two of Kiss’s albums last night. I listened to their first 1974 self-titled debut and listened to their “Dressed to Kill” album. Both are really good! Ace Frehley is one of my favorite guitarists of all time and I like his solo work too. I should listen to all the other eras of Kiss too. I’m planning to listen to all of their albums. All of Kiss’s albums are on Apple Music/Itunes for streamable except for their 2009 album, “Sonic Boom”. That’s probably because “Sonic Boom” is not available in Itunes in the USA.

I should listen to all of Kiss’s music and I’m about to start this week. Kiss has always been a great band, I just preferred their earlier stuff but I should check out their newer material too and I will. I just put all of Kiss’s studio albums in my Apple Music library and put in a few live albums of theirs too: Alive, Alive II, Alive III, and Kiss MTV Unplugged.

I’ve read so much about Kiss over the years. Read plenty of their interviews in many music magazines and I’ve read Ace’s book, “No Regrets” so I should get into the band more. Yeah, both Gene and Paul have extremely large egos but they are undeniably talented, though.

Yeah, I think I’m definitely gonna keep Apple Music, pretty happy with it…

I love Apple Music ’cause the service gives you the opportunity to listen to the entire discography/catalog of your favorite artists and I’ve been doing exactly that. Thanks to Apple Music, I’ve got to listen to all or most albums by such artists as: Beth Hart, Joe Bonamassa, David Bowie, Blur, Megadeth, Motorhead, Opeth, Al Di Meola, Phish, The Pixies, The Runaways, Lita Ford, Joe Satriani, Black Sabbath (Ozzy era), Dream Theater, the Heartless Bastards, Led Zeppelin, The Doors and a few others.

I’m pretty impressed with Apple Music so I think I’m gonna keep my subscription going ’cause my three free month trial ends Oct. 3rd.

There is still a lot more music I need to listen on there ’cause my library is pretty big. I’m planning to listen to the rest of Ac/Dc albums, Bruce Springsteen, KISS, Queensryche, Lacuna Coil, Slipknot, Lou Reed, Gary Moore, M.I.A., Bjork, Joni Mitchell, Rihanna, Peter Gabriel, Siouxsie and the Banshees and more. Yeah, I like a wide variety of music as you can see.

Apple Music is pretty impressive, in my opinion. I’m still gonna wanna listen to Apple Music albums on my Ipod Touch but however, my Ipod Touch is the 4th Generation and I can’t get IOS 8 up on there at all. If I want to listen to Apple Music on the go like at the gym or wherever, I’m gonna have to buy a new edition of the Ipod Touch and will probably buy the 5th Generation sometime in the near future. Or maybe I should get the 6th generation. I wanna get a new Ipod Touch ’cause honestly, I don’t like the old 4th generation anyways.

In my opinion, Apple Music is pretty awesome. Nothing wrong with it at all. Screw all the Apple haters.

Gregg Allman says it might be possible for Dickey Betts rejoining the Allman Brothers…

An interesting interview with Gregg Allman here and he says his feud with Dickey Betts is pretty much over. Gregg and Dickey are talking again and are back on good terms which is a good thing. Gregg wants to jam with Dickey again. So who knows? Maybe Dickey will soon rejoin the Allman Bros. when the band reforms sometime in the future and I’m sure they will. If Dickey rejoined the Allman Bros., it won’t be for a one-off. Gregg says it will be for a full tour and all.

http://radio.com/2015/08/31/gregg-allman-talks-dickey-betts-and-the-future-of-the-allman-brothers-band/

I agree with Gregg that holding negative grudges with people is childish. I never do that really. I know I’ve had heated feuds with other local musicians myself and I did my best to bury the hatchet with some of them. Some of them were nice enough to bury the hatchet and some just don’t care. Well, for the musicians who didn’t care to bury the hatchet with me well, fuck ’em. People who continue to hold a grudge against me are losers to begin with. I can be a good guy to people and if people don’t wanna see that, it’s fine with me. I got my own life to worry about. I’m about moving forward and not backwards. People who continue to hold a grudge against me even to this day are nobodies to me. I just get on with my life and keep on keepin on, ya know? I don’t deal with negative people or assholes. I’ll have a rant about this is another post soon.

Anyway, I hope to see Gregg and Dickey play again on stage in public ’cause it would be cool.

Video: Joe Bonamassa & Beth Hart “Sinner’s Prayer”…

Wanna hear some badass blues? Listen to this. I love Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa together. They make great music together. Even though these two only made two studio albums and one live album together, I hope they do a lot more.

Joe is playing some great slide guitar in this song.

I think I’m in love with Beth Hart… I’m obsessed with that woman now for some reason. Maybe it’s because of her phenomenal singing voice and her stunning good looks. She’s got a killer singing voice, though, I could listen to her all day.

It’s good news that Slash and Axl Rose buried the hatchet but…

It seems that Slash and Axl Rose have buried the hatchet. The two guys started talking again after feuding with each after all these years. So does this mean there will be a Guns N’ Roses reunion with its original members? I don’t think it’ll happen but I can see Slash and Axl doing something musical together though. Maybe Slash will have Axl sing a song on his next solo album or something?

Slash Confirms He And Axl Rose Are Friends Again After A ‘Long Overdue’ Reconciliation

Only thing though, Axl Rose can’t really sing anymore like he used to. He used to be a phenomenal singer in the past but I believe Axl lost his great singing voice he once had. He can’t sing for shit. Listen to Axl with Gn’R in the video below. He’s not a strong singer anymore like he once was. His voice is terrible now. I’ll agree with some that he can’t sing anymore.

Chrissy Hynde getting attacked for rape comments, they just can’t take the truth… I actually agree with her…

Whenever women get raped, the victim almost always never get the blame for it. People say victims shouldn’t get part of the blame but why shouldn’t they? Should they look at how they dress? Like wearing short skirts and dresses that exposes their cleavage, walking around with high heels. Wearing that stuff will catch predators eyes. How about dressing more appropriately and not walking around late at night while women are drunk? That’s all Chrissy is saying… urging women to dress more appropriately and stuff like that. She wants women to be more responsible and be more careful out there so they don’t end up becoming victims.

I would think the only people that are hating Chrissy over her comments are none other than stupid dumbass liberals pretending to be “feminists”.

Think I’m crazy about Joni Mitchell now…

On my way back home from vacation yesterday, I listened to quite a lot of music on my Ipad. Listened to two albums by Joni Mitchell last night. Listened to her albums, “Both Sides Now” and “Blue” which are both amazing and incredible albums. Joni’s songs are pretty powerful and intense. Even though her songs are pretty mellow, it’s still good relaxing music plus she has this incredible singing voice. I think I’m gonna wanna listen to more Joni Mitchell music so I went to Apple Music and added a bunch more of her studio albums to my library. Only thing though, Apple Music doesn’t have her entire discography of studio albums so I just added what they have. Probably ’cause not all of her music is not in the Itunes store.

That’s the thing with music artists… some are willing to put their entire discography of albums on Itunes/Apple Music but some are strict of what certain albums to put on there. I’ll have another topic on that soon.

Joni’s music is amazing, though. Think I’m a new fan of hers now. Whenever I need a break from listening to hard rock & metal, I’ll listen to stuff like this ’cause you need to listen to relaxing music sometimes, ya know?
